How do I retrieve my husbands deleted text messages? Posted: 17 Feb 2018 11:24 PM PST Hello everyone, my husband found his old Verizon Samsung flip phone and wants to retrieve his old deleted messages from a few years back to his mother. I am an older woman so I do not know how to help him with these things haha. I looked on google but it seems that they're talking about the cloud but these old flip phones don't have that. My son told me I could come here and ask. If anyone would be so kind as to help my husband and I out it would be much appreciated! Thank you! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Feb 2018 02:01 PM PST I have been ripping my hair out trying to resolve this. It will disconnect after a minute or two and that same window pops up. Using wired ethernet on both my WIN10 desktop and XBOX ONE. Nope. I reserved a double Nat issue. Nope. Turned on IPV6. Nope. Advice? Edits ————— Spectrum. NetGear AC1200 This is the error window that pops up: "we lost connection to your console run the streaming test to get suggestions on how to make your stream better" Oh, and I updated firmware or router. Nope. Tried using "Xbox (beta)" app. Nope. This is how I am streaming: My PC and my Xbox One is hardwired (ethernet) to my router and I'm using Windows 10's Xbox App to stream the Xbox's video output to the PC, then using OBS to record/stream the footage from your PC screen on Restream.io, to which the stream is restreamed on Twitch and YouTube. Xb1 streaming to Win 10 still works when OBS is open... but NOT streaming to restream. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 02:53 AM PST As the title says. The only option that doesn't involve using my lost phone is to give the date the account was created, along with an email, which they will send a 6-letter verification code to. When I do this and type in the code, I'm told "Thank-you for... Google could not verify your account." Please help! Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 12:33 AM PST Oh, not to mention that when I open certain games, the textures are extremely downgraded or not even existent. For instance, Oblivion doesn't load any graphics, it's pure black, and Path of Exile looks like the resolution is 500x500 or something insanely downgraded. It looks older than a PSX game on this particular computer. Other games work just fine. [link] [comments] |
I have 250gb SSD and 3TB Hard Drive... I would like to replace the SSD Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:46 PM PST Hello, I know this might be a simple question but I'm not sure what guide or steps to use to replace my SSD. I have been having issues for over a year and a half with my computer hard crashing and rebooting. Several people I've talked to think it might be my SSD (NVMe Samung MZVPV256) so I would like to replace it. I put Windows 10 and some other small programs on the SSD, and all of my games and files on the 3TB non-SSD hard drive. I would like to replace the SSD now with one off of Amazon. What steps do I need to do to back-up, reinstall windows, etc.? I don't know much about formatting or partitioning once I replace this, so I'm hoping to find a useful guide for this specific situation where I am continuining to use my 3TB drive but not the same SSD. How can I get home Wi-fi in our outbuilding Posted: 18 Feb 2018 02:30 AM PST Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help. Me and my partner will be moving into an outbuilding on her parents property which shares all infrastructure with the main house including power and telephone lines. My question is how do i hook up a home wi-fi connection, is-it possible to add another modem to the telephone line and use that. Im not sure boosters will work as there is a distance of 30-40 meters between the 2 buildings and both are heavily insulated meaning there is very minimal phone service inside both homes. We are in the UK if That matters. If I haven't explained any of this well I apologise and feel free to ask any more info if that helps. [link] [comments] |
Games are capped at 60 with what feels like vsync on fullscreen but uncapped on windowed Posted: 18 Feb 2018 12:11 AM PST Basically the title. I turned everything off. Nvidia vsync, xbox dvr, power saver, etc. Please help! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:12 PM PST Trying to share my WiFi with my downstairs neighbor neighbor. We live in brick apartments, and his place is downstairs and about 60 ft from where my router/modem is set up. Basically, Comcast is fucking him and we figured we could save money by sharing an account and had a WiFi extender. But I'm worried about signal loss with the brick walls. What would work? Do I need to buy a new router and a WiFi extender? Or would only a WiFi extender work? Help me Obi Wan Kenobi. [link] [comments] |
Monitor disconnects from the pc after some 10-15 minutes of playing some games. Posted: 18 Feb 2018 02:02 AM PST So, brand new pc ( specs at the bottom of the post), all is going well but some games it always have this weird issue after 10, 15 minutes playing. Or it always happens in some games or it never happens. The monitor goes blank, as if it were disconected from the computer, it gives the "no signal found" message, the game sounds continue, and unless I reset the computer, the display remains unconnected. It happens in some games: Shadow of Mordor ( the old one), Space Engineers. It doesnt happen on Paladins, Skyrim SE, Elite: Dangerous. All the drivers are updated. The specs of my pc are: Windows 10 Home. Motherboard: Z370-A pro (MS-7B48) Video Card: NVIDIA GEFORCE 1060 3gb INTEL CORE I3-8100 RAM: G.SKILLS 8 GB DDR4 Storage: slow HDD, saving for a SSD. Monitor is a LGflatron connected to the video card via an HDMI cable. [link] [comments] |
Windows Update wants to install some Intel drivers from 1968 (not a typo) Posted: 18 Feb 2018 01:58 AM PST I recently performed a clean install of Windows 10 Pro and when checking Windows Update for the Xbox Wireless Adapter driver, two other updates showed up as available. Both listed as this:
Apparently, it's this one. Device Manager does have a PCI Memory Controller and an SM Bus controller, under Other devices, with exclamation marks inside yellow triangles in front of them, their device status being: "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". I just wanted to make sure that the available drivers are, indeed, the correct ones - even if they were released in 1968, according to the Microsoft Update Catalog. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 01:04 AM PST After purchasing Windows 10 pro from the Microsoft Store, I went to install it and got the error saying "Something Happened and we couldn't start the upgrade." I have tried logging off and on, restarting, and clearing store cache, all without much luck. Please advise on other things I could try to fix the issue. Thanks!! [link] [comments] |

My mouse doesnt work anymore for some weird reason Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:24 AM PST ~Warning, shitty grammar and cringy story down below.~ So,I really never had any problems until now. So,what happened?Well,my sister asked me to give her my laptop so she can watch a movie.Later on,after Ive trolled her a little with wrong passwords,I gave her the password. But,all went black and my mouse cursor just remained stuck! After a minute, the password screen appeared again,I typed in and hit enter but same crap. So,at some point I started pressing random keys and did in the end restarted. It worked just fine, but the mouse.I tried other mouses since I though that was the problem, but no,the same shit.Pretty much on ALL of them happened the same thing:They would connect but not work for 10 seconds, then the light thats usually glowing at the bottom stops glowinh.I do not think that it is a laptop usb problem since the laptop cooler that Ive connected to see if maybe thats the problem worked just fine,so,can anyone please help me out? Trying to find part no. for laptop motherboard connector Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:18 AM PST Had recent issues with my laptop not recognising the boot drive on start. Opened it up to check for loose connections and the board connector for the HDD came away from the PCB. Have someone lined up to resolder a connector but we're having trouble identifying it to find a part no: Whats left on PCB: https://imgur.com/XKS4xin Board side of connector: https://imgur.com/xCh48pg Top side of connector: https://imgur.com/PfxPBNv Mate on cable: https://imgur.com/yHjW4KZ Width of the mate is 12mm and pin pitch looks to be 0.4mm. Laptop is a Dell Inspiron 13 7347 (2015). [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:11 AM PST Hey all. I'm having some problems with my computer and was hoping to get some help from people who know more about this than I do. I have a dual monitor setup and recently started having issues booting up my PC. My specs are pretty good (GTX 1080, i7 7700k, 16gb RAM, SSD) so it used to boot within seconds. Now, I'm stuck on a black screen for 30 seconds to a minute waiting for it to load. Once the PC does boot, it only does so on one of the two screens with the other not appearing to receive a signal. This happens every time I start the computer. In order for the second screen to work, I have to then hit the "restart" button at which point it will successfully boot quickly with both screens working. The system will also boot normally with the second monitor unplugged. Once booted on just the one monitor, I can plug in the second and it'll turn on right away. I have an Asus VG248QE (144hz) as my main monitor and later added an LG 29UM68 (60hz ultrawide) as a second one. This worked fine until a few weeks ago when the boot issue suddenly started happening without any major changes being made (although I do think it was at around the same time as the Windows 10 patches). The Asus is connected with a DVI cable while the LG is hooked up with a Displayport. I first thought this might have had something to do with the Meltdown/Spectre patches (as others reported being unable to reboot) but it's been going on for weeks now without a change. I have tried reinstalling my GPU drivers without any luck. Next I'll try and reinstall my monitor's drivers too, but I'm hoping to still get some advice. Pretty new to all this stuff and somewhat concerned that there's major issues with the first PC I ever put together myself. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Asus monitor - Suddenly no signal Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:07 AM PST Monitor has been working fine for the last couple of years I've had it, never any problems. Connected it to my laptop a few days ago as I often do and nothing. Displays "HDMI no signal". Tried connecting it with a different cable to a different pc and exactly the same error. Also tried connecting laptop to different monitor and it works fine. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
PC crashing after moving to new case, GPU reaching 92° possible cause. Posted: 18 Feb 2018 03:47 AM PST Moved my PC into a new case and now it crashes when playing PUBG. I think the issue lays with my Radeon R9 390 ASUS Strix 8gb. Idle's at about 65-68 and reaches 91-93 when playing games. Even when forcing fans to run at 100%, still crashes and reaches low 90s. Crashes are sometimes just freezes where I can't move my mouse or click anything, and sometimes full blackouts where the PC continually tries to restart itself and fails, leaving em having to wait a few minutes before manually powering on. Cleaned the heatsink out with compressed air and reapplied thermal paste and still no change. Ran a stress test and didn't crash despite 80° but have had it also crash randomly on desktop as well, so really no idea. Please someone help.. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 03:40 AM PST Friend built a new pc today with all parts new. Mobo was flashed to the latest bios. After running through windows setup via media creation tool in usb, computer seems to freeze (no cursor movement) within five seconds. This has happened multiple times. I have reasons to believe that it is windows 10's issue but more specifically the 1709 build. The OS seems to cause the issue. Anyone ran into this problem and maybe have a fix? Perhaps getting to boot an OS that is not 1709, perhaps 1703, and just not update? Help please. [link] [comments] |
Computer turns off without a warning Posted: 17 Feb 2018 11:48 PM PST This is how it goes: When I turn on the computer, only one fan runs for a minute or two,THEN the other hardware starts working as well. I use the computer for X(2-3-4) hours and then it just turns off without a single warning. When I try to turn it on again,it takes it a minute or two to start the FAN only, then the other hardware. Can't get younger brothers computer to boot? (Not even into BIOS) Posted: 18 Feb 2018 03:23 AM PST No matter what button or combination of buttons I press it won't even go into BIOS, just shuts off after 15 seconds. Any advice? Is a very old system as you can probably tell by the CPU. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2018 03:02 AM PST Okay so after randomly getting this blue screen of death for the first time and this message with it driver irql_less_or_not_equal windows 10. So i thought nothing of it, so i started up firefox and went on youtube but no video will play, they will keep buffering and nothing will happen. I have searched for solutions, cleared cache, messed with firefox options but nothing, i also tried a different browser but still wouldn't work. I've also tried the repair upgrade and that did not seem to fix the problem. [link] [comments] |

Windows 10 making beep noises in Morse code??? Posted: 17 Feb 2018 10:50 PM PST Alright, so I am very confused about what my computer is doing. I run windows 10 on a laptop and it has started to communicate to me in what I believe is Morse code. The code follows the pattern of -..-.-- at a tone close to 1k hz. I have checked mother board codes but all of them are limited to 4 tones and it occurs well passed the time of boot up. I feel like that is not a good thing that this is occurring but have no clue what would be the problem. Anyone have any clue what is happening? [link] [comments] |
