"Monitor for reddit" - clean and functional keyword tracker for Reddit Posted: 27 Feb 2018 04:45 AM PST Digging trough Playstore today to test unknown Reddit apps. Interesting discovery was Monitor for Reddit that notifies you of updates by keyword: if anywhere on Reddit there's a new post or reply containing a keyword from your list (or word combination) it appears in the app seconds later. Very simple UI but does its job well. Hardly has any permissions and no ads. Updated April 2016. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 05:24 AM PST So my issues started couple days ago when opening Google Remote Desktop and a message popped up saying there had been an attempt to connect to my computer with wrong pin which is weird because I have my pin automatically put in when I connect to the computer. However just now when I tried to connect to my computer again , a message came up saying I had to add a Google account to use remote desktop. It has removed my account on its own from the app although it still shows up in the phones settings menu. And when trying to re-add my account, it just gives an error saying that account is already on my device. Could my devices security be compromised or is it just a bug? Phone is Samsung S8+ if that matters. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Rootless Pixel Launcher 3.2 Posted: 26 Feb 2018 01:50 PM PST Original Post https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/80gg3a/rootless_pixel_launcher_32_the_launcher_reimagined/ It has been a month since I released the new Pixel 2 version of my Rootless Pixel Launcher project, which started all the way back in May of 2017. Thanks to this project I managed to get my name out, and I love all the positive reception the launcher has gotten from those that want a "close to stock" experience. After the 3.1 release some interesting feature requests kept popping up so I thought I could give them a shot, as well as fixing some often reported bugs. I worked together with the alpha testers on Telegram for a month on making this new release the absolute best launcher I could create. Just like last time I will be active on this subreddit too, answering questions and responding to bug reports. Google Icons https://github.com/amirzaidi/GoogleIcons/releases Click on GoogleIcons.apk to download the icon pack. Photos and videos https://photos.app.goo.gl/qdcAcLOdiu8Kl1Bh1 All except for the last one are the same as the 3.0 release. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Feb 2018 11:06 AM PST Ive installed facebook lite and I like it for the most part. The one thing I do not like about it is that I can't seem to bypass the facebook browser. I would like FB Lite to open links in an external browser. Is there way to do that or maybe you can recommend another facebook alternative app to try. [link] [comments] |

[REQUEST] A shared app to remind/mark completed pet medication dosing Posted: 27 Feb 2018 09:44 AM PST We need to give medication 2x a day to our dog depending on when he eats. Given our schedules, sometimes he gets his meds from one of us before the other one wakes up. We are looking for an app that sends a reminder to both of us at a certain time and if one of us gives the medication, we can mark it as done and it disappears or notifies the other person that the dose has been given. Is there something out there like this (even if it's not specifically for medications)? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 09:24 AM PST Hi, I have know of this app for years. Idea is great, However back then, thought it was trying to be too many things at once and all of them where done somewhat poorly. Since then, the app has mature and I have been playing with it in order to test it out and I like it. So now, that I am more curious, I am wondering about privacy, security and also other people's experience. What is your miliage with it? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fooview.android.fooview [link] [comments] |

[DEV]what do you think about the app and what should i change more HealthCenterApp ? Posted: 27 Feb 2018 08:18 AM PST I made a school project, an application were you can find nearby Hospitals(of your current location) and nearby Pharmacies. The user can select between Hospitals and Pharmacies from an ImageButtons That i have implemented in the left side of the mapsActivity. The user can select one of the hospital markers or either one of the pharmacies markers and by clicking the StreetView Button they can see the specific panorama View's of that location. Also he can get the directions for that specific marker/place, by clicking the flag ImageButton. There is one more ImageButton(X icon) were the user can clean the map. Also there is a search bar were the user can search places(e.g Athens, Paris, Berlin etc..). There is also in the option menu were the user can change the type of the map. App link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1P_puCgiABhOAA3_elcUSKoDylsrYmoPj/view Also were should i promote/upload the app? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Tabletop Gamer Toolbox - Looking for marketing advise and other input. Posted: 27 Feb 2018 11:42 AM PST In June of 2014 I released my first Android app to the google play store. It was Version 1.0 of the Tabletop Gamer Toolbox, it was code that I put together while learning a lot about Unity and GUI functions. I had spent 3 months prior writing the version, sourcing and creating the graphical assets, and testing the app with my circle of friends. Within that first month I saw a good deal of installs for a small app (166 in July alone). I did not know what to expect or what would be normal when I released it. Since its release, I saw a drop in monthly installs, with ups and downs. Over the last 4 years, there has only been around 2000 total installs with a retention of about 300. During the first two years, I ran different adwords and other ads, trying to keep things as cheap as I could since the app itself was free and the ads revenue would not be very high. I went through and did several refreshes on the code for the app, cleaned things up, embraced newer versions of unity (including a complete rewrite of the GUI). For the last year and a half, the app has sat basically untouched until this January. With January, I once again updated the app to the newest version of Unity, and brushed up the code. I turned on a new Adwords campaign and recently have seen a large uptick in installs and views with a campaign running at $5/day. Organically on the store I would see around 100 views a month with a 3.3% install rate. At most, I had around 280 active installs throughout the life of the app. As of this week however I have seen about 100 views a day with 40% install rate, a 580% increase in weekly installs. I have almost doubled my total active installs in a single week. I am feeling optimistic about the app, and there is more I would like to do with it, such as a graphical refresh to replace most of the assets to make it look nicer. Does anyone have any advise on how and where I should go about doing Marketing outside of adwords? The app itself is fairly niche, being a tool for tabletop gaming, and many of the communities I find to post about it do not allow for self promotion. Link to the app for those who are interested in looking at it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.DiceRoller.DiceRoller&hl=en Any general advise that could help me would be appreciated as well. Auto it or macro type android app? Posted: 27 Feb 2018 11:37 AM PST I'm looking for a simple macro type app that can do a task and continue doing it while I'm away. I'm interested in taking some night time photos with my S8 and using the pro mode on the app because it offers the best night time shots in any app I've found. The problem is I want to have it take pictures for me while I walk away etc and it doesn't have any kind of built in burst photo taking etc. I'm not rooted either. [link] [comments] |
Does anyone have a copy of Total Benchmark 2011? Posted: 27 Feb 2018 10:26 AM PST I have spent hours scouring the web for this app, but to ZERO avail. It is listed in directories like Androlib and others, but there is no trace of the APK except for some dead links. If any of you has a copy on one of your old devices or anywhere else, I would like to be able to obtain it so that I can see if it even works on newer Android devices. Not finding this app is driving me nuts, since I have already tested nearly EVERY benchmark app (even obscure abandoned ones) that has been created since Android came into existence (heck, an old 2009 version [v1.0.6] of Linpack for Android runs on my modern nougat powered phone no problem). A copy of this app would mean a lot to me and, if I were to succeed in obtaining it, I would have it permanently archived on The Internet Archive. If any of you decided to give me a link, it better not require any payment/surveys. Thanks in advance for any info! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 01:02 AM PST I've tried messing about with Tasker, TouchTask, AutoInput but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I literally want to simply tell an app 'at 2am, click here on the screen' and that's it. I have macros set up with other apps, all ready to go, I simply need it at 2am to press the play button on the macro app overlay. I tested in Tasker to if time = 2am, autoinput tap these coordinates and it didn't work. I'm not well versed in the programs though, surely there's an easy way to do it? The screen is set to never sleep when charging, I just need some way to tell my phone to tap this button on screen at 2am. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Free music app with full library Posted: 27 Feb 2018 07:34 AM PST This app kinda works like YouTube but only sound, no video. It has related songs just like YouTube that flow continuously. It also consumes less mobile data. !!BEST FEATURES you can lock your phone or use other apps while listening and NO ads and you can link your YouTube account. It's called SUAMP and I'm shocked there's no advertising for it. [link] [comments] |

Spotify - Don't display when playing on other device Posted: 26 Feb 2018 12:53 PM PST I have a OnePlus 5 and when I'm playing tracks on the web version of Spotify, it displays the current song playing on my phone lock screen - allowing me to pause, skip etc. Whilst this is a handy feature, is there any way to disable it? I have Spotify on all day in work and I'm noticing a considerable amount of battery drain from the phone & screen being activated at the start of every track. [link] [comments] |
