Posted: 17 Feb 2018 04:11 AM PST I was considering developing a multiplayer game where the location of users is avaliable to other players (only when the user is playing), although in a "masked" fashion, without a real map and without any sort of address. It's something like "human player located 250 meters away". The idea is not to reveal the distance if it's closer than 100 meters to avoid issues stemming from players looking at each other, but allow the users to be seen if they are between, eg, 1000 meters and 200 meters. Is it worth investing on a game that uses this type of gameplay, or is it better to stay the hell away from revealing the player's location in any way? [link] [comments]

Anyone else gain newfound appreciation for certain careers and the like after playing sims? Posted: 17 Feb 2018 12:21 PM PST Game Dev Tycoon gave me some insight to aspects of game development I hadn't ever really thought about. It renewed my interest in games in general. I was just thinking how much fun a game like this about the movie industry would be. TV as well. Anything like that out there? [link] [comments]
Zapoco - Zombie apocalypse free multiplayer browser game Posted: 17 Feb 2018 10:04 AM PST Hey everyone, my name is Tom, and I'm the creator of a new browser based game called Zapoco. A text-based MMORPG, set in a zombie apocalyptic setting where you can train, scavenge, fight other players, build a safehouse, explore, trade and do a bunch of other cool stuff. I built it to be fully browser based lets you play from any device with a web browser for free, no downloads or personal details required, just an email address :) I'll gladly address any comments, questions, criticism, concerns, or anything else you may have (and as always, I apologize if this isn't allowed to be posted here anymore; if it's not, please do feel free to remove it). Thanks again, I hope to see you in the game! Link: https://www.zapoco.com/ [link] [comments]
Is there any way to play old Android games? Posted: 17 Feb 2018 07:46 PM PST When I was younger, I played a lot of Zenonia 1, 2, and 3. Recently, I tried looking for them, and through certain methods, I installed them, along with the Illusia Games. I tried launching each, to make sure they all work. To my dismay, none of them worked. I tried looking around to see if it was just the versions I got, but it didn't seem to be. I know I can emulate them on my PC, but I really want to know if I can play them on my phone.
