Weekly "anything goes" thread! Posted: 01 Dec 2017 04:41 AM PST Here's your chance to talk about whatever! Although if you're thinking about getting feedback on an app, you should wait until tomorrow's App Feedback thread. Remember that while you can talk about any topic, being a jerk is still not allowed. [link] [comments]

Script keyboard - write and execute JavaScript everywhere! (Source code included) Posted: 01 Dec 2017 03:45 AM PST Side note:Although this might seem like one of those shameless advertising, I'm actually publishing this because implementing word suggestion takes too much work and effort than what I'm willing to put in to this project, But I still love the idea itself. Script Keyboard is a keyboard that has 2 unique buttons: The "Script wrapper"- which simply type $|<code here will be executed>|$ The Executor- execute the code inside the wrapper(s) usage example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBermIJTGds GitHub page(in there you could also find GooglePlay link): [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Nov 2017 06:29 PM PST I'm going to be brief: which one is better and what are your thoughts about these degrees? I want to learn Android app development. Any kinds of advice are welcome! Have a lovely day! :) ps. I know this question has been asked before but let's have an update here as of 1 December 2017. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:05 PM PST I'm studying programming at uni and want to try my hand at making apps with AndroidOS. My school doesn't touch on app programming at all and Android programming is easily accessible to me, unlike iOS. What should I be using? I have Android Studio but it seems hella broken. Current status of AdMob native ads Posted: 01 Dec 2017 10:57 AM PST Hi guys. Android dev noob here. I was just planning how to implement ads in my first public app. I wanted to use AdMob as it seems to be the easiest to implement. Banner and interstitial ads ruin UX, so I was looking at Native Ads, until I noticed that "native ad express" is obsolete, and "native ad advanced" is not available to everyone! What do you guys recommend for circumventing this issue? Maybe trying another ad provider is the best way to address this issue? [link] [comments]
Looking at getting into open sourcing Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:55 AM PST Hi all, I'm trying to improve my coding skills and gain experience in building apps not centered around e-commerce. I feel the first route to go down would be contributing to an open source project. Trouble is, finding one where I can make contributions too and one that is active enough that my work will also be peer reviewed. Anyone have any ideas or projects I could contribute to? Thanks all [link] [comments]
How important is having the app ID match your website? Posted: 30 Nov 2017 10:25 PM PST Hi all, Published my first app today, yay! But I noticed the app ID (something which I thought would be only relevant to the source code), actually shows up in the URL when sending the link to the Play Store. And it does not match my App Name or the URL of my website. How crucial is it for this all to match? Is it easy to add a new production app with a different app ID using the same app store description/photos or will I have to do the entire process again? [link] [comments] |
