Need help finding my white whale Posted: 30 Nov 2017 02:16 PM PST Now this entire post might seem a bit stupid, but I remember playing a game on mobile yeeeaaars ago, and I would love to play it again for nostalgia but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. All I can remember is it was 2D, had this comic book style look to it, and the main focus was on progressing the comical story completing missions by engaging in fights in a grid based battlefield (think Disgea) it was sort of comically military themed, and I think the main guy who helped you was this goofy brown haired guy character, and a lot of missions involved using your units (Jeeps, mortars, etc) against the native people (that seems bad in writing) as you were on unchartered frontier. I know this isn't much to go off but I've been looking for months and Reddit has done stranger things! [link] [comments]
Should I keep Shadow Fight 2 Special Edition? Posted: 30 Nov 2017 04:41 PM PST TLDR: I bought the Special Edition during the Cyber Monday sale for 99p. However, I'm not sure if it's worth even that. It's horribly unbalanced, the controls are aggravating and the silhouettes make tactical play nigh on impossible. Should I continue, or just refund the game, especially when Shadow Fight 3 fixes at least 2 of the 3 complaints (although it's F2P so probably ensnared by the usual tricks)? There's quite a few things wrong with Shadow Fight 2. Since the developers have made a sequel, it's fair to say it will be left in this state. On the silhouettes, sure you have an identifier below your character, but what happens when your character overlaps with the enemy? There's no way of telling who's who. The funny thing is this could have been easily solved with different coloured models. The controls are terrible, and there's no way to change them to something a little less terrible like a d-pad. Since the positive reviews said the special edition gave out gems liberally, I used them to buy gear, saving up coins since I guessed there'd be less of them. However, it won't even let me do that. I need to be a certain level to buy gear. I'm currently at lvl 3, 280/350xp. These tournaments give a pitiful amount of xp. I think the last one gave me 6xp. The gap between normal and hard is ridiculous. Enemies that hit fast and aggressively on hard are suddenly slow and sluggish on normal, even though damage is supposed to be the only difference. So I'm stuck where I need to buy better gear to progress, gear that will become redundant once I level up. The levelling is atrocious. I need 160xp) to go from lvl 3 to 4, but 5xp to go from 4 to 5, and 10xp to go from 5 to 6? There's no point buying lvl 4 or 5 gear, then. 99p may not seem like a lot, but I'm using an Android gift card balance, not a bottomless credit card. Every little bit is precious, because 99p spent on this game is 99p that can't go towards something actually good. Progression is painfully slow. It's obvious no rebalancing was done for the 'special edition', just changes to the monetisation system. What I want to know is, does it get better after the first level? Does the game stop holding my hand and show the things its been hiding like weapon upgrades upfront? [link] [comments]

So whats the state of Pokemon Go these days? Posted: 30 Nov 2017 01:47 PM PST Hey all. Basically what the title says. I've been thinking about AR and PoGo for about a week now, considering getting back into it. I originally downloaded it like most of you, and like most of you got bored with the lack of content, poor AR, bad servers, and just all around boringness of it. How is it compared to release? I know there's been a lot of updates. inb4: "Go check out the billion Pokemon Go subreddits" Yes, I am aware. But that's like going to a restaurant and asking the staff how the food is... Does Implosion - Never Lose Hope ever go on sale? Posted: 30 Nov 2017 04:54 PM PST Even during Black Friday and Cyber Monday this game's price didn't budge. I'd love to get it; I'd love it even more if it went on sale. 10 is too much, but half is reasonable, even though it's more than I've ever spent on an app. [link] [comments]
Can you play Nvidia Shield games on other devices (e.g. Pixel?) Posted: 30 Nov 2017 01:30 PM PST I heard someone talking about an emulator or something to run shield games (like hl2 and MGS3) on a regular device? Is this true or just BS? [link] [comments]

Will there be another round of Shadowgun beta codes? Posted: 30 Nov 2017 11:46 AM PST I was late to the pre-register, is there going to be another opportunity to get in the beta, or am I SOL? [link] [comments] |
