| How secure is Android vs iOS if someone gets ahold of your phone? Posted: 01 May 2022 03:25 PM PDT I am a long time Android user that got an iPhone a year and a half ago. Nostalgia kicked in and now I want to go back to Android I have stumbled upon this Reddit post. I am wondering: if someone steals my phone and can actually get to my files on a locked device then how secure is Android actually? I am pretty sure that on iOS anyone who steals it can't do squat (unless it's jailbroken probably). Or am I completely wrong about this? I really like the Galaxy S22 Ultra but after seeing this post it made me wonder if I should stay with iOS. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 01 May 2022 04:29 PM PDT Hey everyone, I have been an android user for the longest. Presicely, I use Samsung devices. I currently have a Galaxy Z Fold 3. So, I have one problem. I have been using safe third party app stores to update my apps. As the Play Store tends to be slow with that and when they do update, it takes forever. Which brings me to using Uptodown. I like it very much. However, I am never able to update the system apps showed on Uptodown. And there are many. So, my question is, does Samsung block third party apps from updating system apps? TLDR is that my Grandpa has Alzheimer's and is constantly calling my Grandma in an angry state that he isn't "home" (she can't take care of him and he is in a memory care unit). | my mic doesnt work while calling on bluetooth Posted: 01 May 2022 01:09 PM PDT So I just bought airpods to use with my Samsung j6 Knowing what functions dont work with android. But I've been having this problem with bluetooth devices that while calling the mic doest work and I have to switch of bluetooth to call and for voice recording my phone uses the main phone mic. I had this with sony earbuds before on a newer samsung a52. So does anyone know if and how I can change that so I can use the airpods mic? [link] [comments] |

| Double Period Sometimes After A Sentence Posted: 01 May 2022 10:55 AM PDT So I'm not sure exactly when this happens or why, but I'm definitely trying to fix it. Sometimes after I type a sentence, it'll put two periods after the see instead of one. I do have the automatic period turned on to where I just hit spacebar twice and it puts a period. This seems to work fine, but like I said, sometimes there's two periods and I can't figure out what triggers it to happen. If I put a manual period after a sentence and then hit spacebar twice, it does NOT put an extra period. Any ideas on how to fix it? [link] [comments] |
