Anyone have Samsung change their delivery date after order?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 06:52 AM PDT

I ordered an S22 Ultra in Graphite yesterday, and when I went through the checkout process it said "get it by May 9" (for $19, or May 10 for free shipping). So I ordered it, and then when I received my confirmation email it says it's being built and could take up to 5 weeks.

The website also says 3-4 weeks now for Graphite. WTF.

    Galaxy s22 ultra color choice?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 02:38 AM PDT

I'm planning to buy the s22 ultra but can't decide on the color, for the s21 ultra my favourite was the black one but since I think the s22 ultra looks a bit bland, the burgundy might be the better choice, and maybe a better head turner. So what do you guys think? Thanks!

Does this new Samsung VPN actually work?

It doesn't seem to do anything for me. Is it actually a VPN or something else?

S8 to A32: would it be an upgrade?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 05:45 PM PDT

    Hi everyone.

I have been using Samsung for a long time, like the last 10 years of my life and since 2019 I have been using a Samsung S8 that I love but I can feel like the battery life is starting to fail me.

Last year my dad upgraded from a C9 Pro to a A32 because he couldnt afford a S20 FE, today he is offering me to give me his A32 so he can use my S8 for tradding making the S20 FE a possibility for him but I am not sure if its worth it outside of gaining battery life.

I am saving for a new phone but it will take a while before I can get there and the battery life is not that of a huge issue because usually I only go to places where I dont need to use my phone or I take my charger with me. I only use my phone for school and communication.

I want to hear other perspectives about it.

    Thank you all for reading.

Edit: I am not getting a new phone, I got offered my dad´ s phone so he can get the S20 FE.

    Warranty Horror Story

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 08:48 AM PDT

I'll try to keep this short. My Buds Pros were ordered on April 30, 2021 and ran into an issue in late March 2022 where there was static in one ear during noise cancellation mode. I called Samsung in early April where they confirmed that it was under warranty and I should take it to a uBreakiFix shop on the other side of the city (the only one with a buds diagnostic device). A hour drive (and $10 in tolls) later I drop it off and have to wait 2 hours for them to tell me what I already knew. "yup it's broken, you'll have to send them in. Samsung will be in touch with you".

Never heard from them for a week so I call them up where they tell me, "whoops, looks like we cancelled your ticket, sorry. Why did we tell you to go to uBreak iFix? You should have just sent it in. Anyways, you're out of warranty." I inform them that I ordered it less than a year prior and didn't even get it until May 6, 2021. They say okay and send me a shipping label.

7 days later where I get a message from Samsung saying my device is out of warranty and I have to pay $140 to fix them... (I can order new Buds Pros from Samsung on Amazon for less than that...) I had to sit on the phone with them for 2 hours to sort out my warranty issue where their system shows that I bought it on April 5, 2021. I had to provide them screenshots of my email receipts.

In the end I lost 6+ hours of my life due to 2 mistakes on their end. Honestly, I might just switch over to using Airpod Pros next time around so at least my SO and I can watch movies on our iPad together on planes (can sync 2 Apple Bluetooth products at once). I've been all Samsung for the last 10 years and I'm appalled with their support. As of writing this, they should be fixing the buds, hopefully there are no more issues.

Anyone else have these sorts of issues?

TLDR: Samsung's warranty program suck and cost me hours of time.

Anyone go from an S20U to a S22U? Worth it?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 12:34 PM PDT

I have an S20 Ultra. I'm completely happy with it. It would cost me $300 and my S20U to trade up to the S22 Ultra. Is it worth it in your opinion?

    New Samsung device mamager

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 12:13 PM PDT

Does the new update for your Bluetooth devices annoy anyone else? I used to just click devices manager and disconnected certain devices if needed. Now I don't seem to be able to do that at all and it's really annoying.

Would be grateful if I'm just being stupid and there's a simple solution.

First Time Ordering a Laptop from Samsung, Not Impressed.

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 07:34 PM PDT

So my GB2 Pro 360 was supposed to arrive on the 22nd... then the 26th... and now I'm not even getting a status.

"There has been an unexpected delay, we will update the new delivery date at the earliest" does not inspire confidence. No communication, I had to seek this out and support hasn't gotten back to me.

looking at an A22 - is it worth it?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 01:36 PM PDT

    Hey folks,

So new phone contract season is here and I'm currently on a simonly plan with a galaxy s8. Great little phone, pretty bulletproof, but one of the offers I've got on the table is an A22 with a switch oled as part of the deal.

Now the switch is obviously a sweetener for the deal, because I took a look at the spec for the a22 Vs s8 and it doesn't really seem like they perform too dissimilarly, which is a bit of a sticking point for me, because if I'm gonna get a new phone released within the last 18 months, I want it to at the very least outperform my current phone that was released in 2017 by a significant margin.

Anyone got one of these and able to advise how well it copes under heavy usage? I'm not getting another S line phone because they're simply out of my monthly price range, so I will not engage with any advice to get an s21\22.

    Thanks!

    Goodbye Samsung!

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 07:58 AM PDT

I have used Samsung Phones exclusively for years. Antivirus app is always installed on a new phone. I installed Norton. The app kept resetting to a newly installed state; requiring me to repeatedly grant permissions. No feedback from their customer support, so I switched to Bitdefender. Same issue. They however did respond to my ticket. They directed me to this article: https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung

Don't mess around with my antivirus app, Samsung. Next phone will be a different brand.
