This bubble feature is so stupid Posted: 02 Feb 2022 11:09 PM PST Xiaomi's bubble feature is overriding the normal Facebook Messenger chat heads and it's annoying. I have searched all over the internet on how to bring back the old chat heads of messenger yet there is no solution. Disabling bubbles disables everything and does not even bring back the normal chat heads of messenger. Does anyone else know a different fix for this? [link] [comments] |
[Rant] The "Install unknown app" warning screen is annoying Posted: 03 Feb 2022 12:23 AM PST Title. This is the screen I'm talking about. I know this is done in the name of user's security, and I don't expect to find a resolution for this one other than just bearing this feature, but if you have a lot of browsers/3rd-party app repos and you want to directly install APKs from those source, then the 10-second wait to enable APK installation from those apps do get annoying really fast (even though it only needs to be done once.) I do understand the security implications of installing stuff that's not from the Google Play Store (F-Droid repos anyone?), but at least give me an option to skip the warning next time Xiaomi. This also applies with "Allow notification access" warning screen. [link] [comments] |
CPU-Z showing wrong storage...(?) Posted: 02 Feb 2022 10:56 PM PST Okay, so, a friend of mine has a xiaomi poco phone with 256 gb of storage. Over 13-14gb is showed to be used by the system os (these figures are taken from Settings -----> About device -------> Storage) All seems well. However, CPU-Z shows different values. On CPU-Z, It shows that the phone actually has around 226 gb accessible to the user (which makes no sense, since 14 gb is used by the system, it should be around 242 gb accessible...) Could it be a glitch on CPU-Z ? There is also the "other" section of storage taking up 3.7 gb, but even with all that said, it's only logical to assume that the storage should be 238 gb, not 226 gb Where could the "hidden" 12 gb be at ? The phone was bought from Xiaomi respective store, and there's no way it is fake. All other infos on CPU-Z are geniune, with the sole exception being the weird storage numbers. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. [link] [comments] |

How do I check the battery health on Xiaomi 11T Pro? Posted: 02 Feb 2022 06:59 PM PST I just bought an 11T pro and I want to check the battery health. I think the battery is draining faster than it should but I have to be certain. However, I can't seem to see the important codes, namely

Xbox controllers support ? - Mi 9T Pro Posted: 03 Feb 2022 01:37 AM PST Hello, just thought I could play on Dolphin some games with my 360 controller, it's wired, and i used it in the past on my Mi 5S, and worked fine. But on my Mi 9T Pro, it just doesn't. And seems like I'm not the only one facing this issue. The controller is connected, it's recieving power ( Lights flashing ), but doesn't work other than that. Any ideas on how to fix this ? [link] [comments] |
Redmi Note 10 Pro Bluetooth controllers not working right Posted: 02 Feb 2022 02:23 PM PST Good evening (where I am) fellow Xiaomi users. I'm hoping someone might have an insight in to why Bluetooth controllers don't work correctly on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. I've tried 3 separate models of 8bitdo (the sn30, the sf30 pro and the sf30 pro 2). Thinking it might just be incompatibility between 8bitdo and Xiaomi tonight I tried a ps4 controller (DS4). They always connect to Bluetooth and some buttons work but never all buttons. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. TIA! [link] [comments] |
Teardown wallpaper for redmi note 10 pro Posted: 03 Feb 2022 12:06 AM PST I know this is too specific and I wouldn't be surprised if I don't find one here either but I searched in ifixit and other websites and the only thing I found was the teardown video by the xiaomi YouTube channel and some Google images that would show only the upper part of the phone. I want the wallpaper for a setup so if you find one from a similar phone it would also be fine. [link] [comments] |
Is my newly bought watch dead? Posted: 02 Feb 2022 06:25 PM PST Hey guys, my bip u pro arrived a few hours ago. I tried turning it on and nothing showed up. Tried charging it but even after three hours on the charger, nothing came up on the screen even with long-pressing the button. I tried charging it with a powerbank, directly on an outlet, but nothing seems to work. Is there any contact protectors or anything I should've taken out that I was too dumb to notice? I checked the charger with a multimeter and it does give the 5V it was supposed to, idk what I should do at this point :/ I cleaned both the watch and the base connectors with a toothpick and alcohol on a q-tip but nothing works [link] [comments] |
[11T Pro] Red tint in bottom half of screen Posted: 02 Feb 2022 08:59 PM PST I bought it in India this week, I was using apps with amoled black themes so didnt notice the issue at first, today noticed when using google search and youtube dark grey backgrounds, red tint is visible at bottom half of the screen. Is this common for 11T Pro or screen calibration issue? I noticed it for dark grey and dark greenish background, the shade of color is different in the latter case. [link] [comments] |
Issues with Redmi Buds 3 Pro and Poco X3 Pro Posted: 02 Feb 2022 08:49 PM PST I bought my Poco phone (after a long Apple relationship) back on december and my Redmi Buds shortly after, everything has been fine but recently Ive been having trouble with the Bluetooth connectivity of said Buds, some times when riding my bike or even while on a call the connection breaks and the sound goes back and forth between the phone speakers and the Buds. Is this usual? Is there something I can do or is it just hardware issues? [link] [comments] |
Mi 11 lite us 5g? I think AT&T T is bullying me... Posted: 02 Feb 2022 08:45 PM PST How come ATT does not add Xiaomi devices to their allowable devices? My device got shut down today. I bought unlocked and brand new last year. The recent model was released last year. (~$400 market worth value). ATT shipped me a $30 worth value crappy phone that they claim to be 5g and "faster" than my current one. The crappy phone sent by ATT is slower than even my Samsung S9 (also shut down today by ATT). I feel insulted with the free phone given by ATT, considering in the last 8 years I had 4 devices bought with them (2-year contract each one, Samsung S4, S5, S7, and S9) and decided to have a dual sim phone( I travel a lot overseas and hate the hassle of replacing sim cards), and my monthly payment is not cheap. It never has been less than $100 monthly payment for services. Is anyone else replacing carriers? Which one should I go for? [link] [comments] |

Xiaomi Pad 5 details in dark scenes Posted: 02 Feb 2022 11:17 AM PST So I got the tablet and in dark scenes most if not all details are gone and I see only black. Even my old Huawei M5 is able to show more details in the same scenes. And it also IPS. Any way to battle This issue? [link] [comments] |

Issue with effective time period with automating smart devices Posted: 02 Feb 2022 01:25 PM PST So, I believe these screenshots explain the problem the best: I want my humidifier to trigger itself when the humidity is below 50% (and turn off after reaching 60%). So the problem is - for some reson this humidifier just turns itself during the night (even though the "effective time period" should prevent this). Maybe it's because I have a region set up to USA? Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite and notifications Posted: 02 Feb 2022 12:04 PM PST Hey so I just received my watch and I was wondering, I'd like to have all messages notifications, play around with my music on my watch, etc.. But when I go to my profile on the "Xiaomi Wear" app and head to the "application notifications" center, I get that weird message that says that "Read and control notification" is a sensitive authorization, if you give that authorization, your private information could be given and my propriety could be endangered" (or something like that, I tried my best to translate it myself ^^' ) It kinda scares me since i have no certainty of it actually being safe, I believe it's a must have but if it actually put my informations in danger, it's gonna be tough [link] [comments] |
