This makes it much harder to communicate. | Is there any way to prevent music playback being stopped when playing a video? Posted: 30 Jan 2022 01:39 AM PST I'd like to be able to play music through Spotify while I have a video on but if the video has sound, Android will temporarily stop the music. I can resume it manually while the video is playing but with a series of shorter videos that can get annoying as you have to do it separately for each one. Is there any way to prevent Android from stopping the playback altogether? It's clearly capable of playing the two at once. I'm using a Pixel 3a on Android 12. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Jan 2022 03:54 AM PST I have a Razer Phone 2 sat in a drawer doing nothing, I had set it up to be an emulation device but ultimately found I'd never play on it as my One Plus Pro 8 is just better and generally always on me. In my house my gaming PC is upstairs and running an HDMI cable down to the living room is something not currently feasible for me, so instead I use a steam link over Ethernet. This works just fine however I know I could be having a better experience on a device that can handle more than a 30mbps stream. So I was thinking of using my Razer Phone 2 as a replacement however when I plug it into my TV using a USBC to hdmi adapter it defaults to 4k @30 which is horrific is there anyway to control the screen resolution and refresh rate so that it outputs at 1080p60???? Posted: 30 Jan 2022 01:35 AM PST So my phone screen got a crack recently and the fingerprint reader started having issues so I decided to remove it and just use a pin code to access the phone. However, I didn't remember that I used fingerprint auth on many apps that need secure access. Turns out now I can't get into a specific wallet app as it gives me an error saying "Secure Data Invalidated" and then goes on to explain "Your secure data was invalidated. This happens when there is a change in the biometrics data used to protect your data". I have a non-rooted phone so can't even see the contents in the files or cache folder of the app. Is there some hope to get into the app without loading the biometrics module of the app? My friend sent a picture over snap of a screenshot from his end and showed me he was getting my messages and replying, but I wasn't receiving his. I was able to text and recieve one reply from my mom after it stopped working, but before I figured it out. I had sent another reply to her and never got a response. I called her and she said she replied. While on the phone I recieved her other message. I tried calling my friend to see if it would work with his messages but it didn't. I even tried restarting my phone and it went through the opening screen twice, but of course didn't fix the problem. Any advice? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 09:58 PM PST I just bought this phone, hoping it would have FM Radio capability (since multiple review videos on YouTube showed the Radio app, and many specs websites said it did) and even on the Samsung website, it said the A52 5G (SM-A526B) and the phone I have is the SM-A526U and there is no way I can get the radio to work, or even check and see if its working. | [Galaxy A40] Camera suddenly went near sighted? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 04:00 PM PST Hi reddit My camera has stopped being able to focus on distant objects all of a sudden. It can focus when at 0.5 zoom, but as soon as i revert to 1.0x and beyond it just remains blurry unless it's under an inch away from the object i'm trying to focus on. The selfie camera has no issue whatsoever. According to random advice on the internet, I've tried: cleaning the lens, resetting the camera settings, clearing the cache, turning it off and on again, turning on the flash, fiddling with every setting the camera has, using a third party camera app, checking for virus, shaking the phone for 10 seconds and even slapping the back a few times. Posted: 29 Jan 2022 01:51 PM PST WiFi on the tablet kept switching off, the tablet also kept switching itself off and back on. Bluetooth also had issues. I decided it might be best to do a factory reset. Did the reset and at the start of setup it asks for WiFi connections, but there isn't any and it can't be skipped. It's stuck on that screen now, no way to get past it.... What's wrong with it? What can I do? Router is fine it's something wrong with the tablet WiFi. Why can't this step be skipped though? | 16GB Huawei P8-Lite Storage Issues Posted: 29 Jan 2022 01:43 PM PST My dad's got a P8-Lite 2017 (budget, but ideal for his needs) but I've noticed despite having a 16GB storage it's forever >15GB used. He has little over a handful of apps installed (none beyond Whatsapp that should generate much appdata). When visiting I usually manually move the Whatsapp Media to his SD card, and delete Appdata from Chrome and other apps, just so I have enough to update the apps that need updating via the Google Play Store (even then Chrome says it can't). The ability to move apps from internal to SD is unavailable. The vast majority of the bloatware from both Google and Huawei you cannot uninstall. Is it normal that 16GB phones on Android 8 are handicapped in this manner, or is something seriously wrong that maybe a factory reset will fix? Do I need to start looking for a 32GB replacement phone? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 09:02 PM PST Hello, I unchecked every device in the lock screen device controls and the main option disappeared. "Show device controls" is enabled, but nothing shows now in the bottom left corner of the lockscreen. I've tried toggling the main display setting off/on, and even rebooting with it turned off. | Can't copy certain files from my pc to android via usb cable or network Posted: 29 Jan 2022 01:51 PM PST i have windows 10 and android 11 phone (MI 11 Lite 5G) all up to date and working usb type c (in box official one and amazon basics) cable i connected my phone to the pc via the usb cable i copied a folder with number of files inside it it copied 1-2-3-10 files but it gives me a connection error at that certain file (all files had the same path and name just different number at the end like 'file 1' - 'file 2' etc and it copies to same path on the phone internal storage) i unplug the phone plugged it again tried to copy the same file same error tried the same thing with the file after it and it's fine (removed the driver and let it install again) the file doesn't have a problem or corrupted i can open, edit, save it everything i tried to copy it via windows network from the phone with 'solid explorer' and i was met with the same error tried to rename the file move it to another place before copying also nothing it seem to happen at random with different files with different types and different paths - all of them have the same permissions in windows but if i copied the files to an sd card or external drive then used it from there on the phone it works just fine if i tried to copy them from there to the phone internal storage it also copies just fine and works [link] [comments] |

I pull up phone storage on my pc, it is full (1.35gb free of 52.1) but when I go into that folder the total size of all the folders is 13gb. I'm aware android hides some files and folders, but googling anything of that sort just gets a bunch of useless, repeated tech blogs about how to connect android to pc that only explain how to enable file transfer, nothing useful. | Hi, I'm having problems with setting a screen lock on my Galaxy Tab A 8 Posted: 29 Jan 2022 09:35 AM PST My lock screen version is 6.2.40 and while trying to set a screen lock i found out that the option to set either a pattern, pin or a password was missing.
