Is there an app that works like Samsung's secure folder that uses external storage instead of internal storage?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2022 02:29 AM PST

Secure folder is close to maxing out my internal storage so I'm wondering if there's any alternative that may work decently. I just want to secure all my files, photos, & apps. If there's none, is there any reliable apps that can store only the files? Thanks.

I made an App that simulates our Solar System in Unity

    Posted: 02 Jan 2022 03:16 AM PST

I tried my hand at making an App aobut the whole System myself.

Since there are many Apps likes this, I want to make my App a little different with new unique features in the near future.

Are there features you would like to see in a Solar System-App?

I want to add James Webb and Hubble in the next Update, as well as Pluto ofc.

The App is currently available in the PlayStore

Looking for an app that will set my home screen according to what I'm doing at that time.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2022 07:25 PM PST

I'm currently working two jobs and use different apps for different things. Given that I use my phone alot for each job, does anyone know of a way I can set a launcher, or an app that will filter/sort all the apps based on what I'm doing at that time?

    Say for example:

    • launcher 1 - apps relevant to job 1
    • launcher 2 - apps relevant to job 2
    • launcher 3 - apps relevant to non work time

    Any suggestions out there?

    Many thanks all!

I've been using Medisafe which is a Medication reminder app and as of late it's been a bit buggy.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2022 09:52 PM PST

This is the app. What you can do is put the amount of pills you have left and it will remind you once you get to a certain amount of tablets so that you can order more. Lately the numbers haven't been accurate and even some have gone to zero.

Does anyone know if any other Medication Reminder apps?

    Thanks

    Drawing apps like samsung notes

    Posted: 02 Jan 2022 02:38 AM PST

Hi, maybe this question is a bit too specific, I enjoy drawing in Samsung Notes although I'm now starting to find it a bit limiting. However I've grown used to using the undo feature and especially the stroke eraser (with the S-pen button). Does anyone know if there are other drawing apps that have these same features?

    Recording a call

    Posted: 02 Jan 2022 12:46 AM PST

How on earth do I record a call on android 10. I've tried pretty much every app on play store and most of them dont work, have bad audio quality because they record sound from a speaker and some don't identify a caller naming them "unknown" Is there any app that would allow me to record a call, it doesn't have to be from play store cuse I assume they might enforce some restrictions.

What are some apps that you'd like more people to know about?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2021 10:14 PM PST

I'll start with these five apps that I personally find useful and/or appealing for one reason or another:

Bearable - this is a highly customizable mood/symptom/etc. tracker. I've tried a good amount of similar apps, and I think some of them are pretty good, but Bearable is the only one that I'd call great. Although some pretty appealing features are, unfortunately, for premium users only (monthly or yearly subscription fees), the free app is still worth checking out, at the very least

NewPipe - this app always gets a spot on these lists of mine, because it's just such an awesome app... NewPipe is a lightweight FOSS & ad-free YouTube frontend packed with features; background play, downloading of any video and/or audio, PiP, etc. (available on F-droid)

Popup Widget - very unique & useful app which allows you to create shortcuts to one or multiple widgets; highly customizable, saves space on your home screen, etc.

Refind - a really good news/article reader app. At first, the articles will be based on the preset interests you choose, but as each day goes by & the app's algorithm does its thing, you'll see more and more articles tailored to your interests. Check it out..!

Universal Copy - this app has been so useful to me over the years; allows you to easily copy text from any app or image

Looking for database/library app with rating function

    Posted: 02 Jan 2022 12:27 AM PST

    Hi!

Im looking for an app in which I can add all movies, tv-shows, computer games, board games, books and comics that Ive watched/played/read. Something like imdb, boardgamegeek and goodreads but in one and the same app. I want to be able to rate each entry, add what year/date Ive started reading/watching/playing the entry and the year/date I finished it.

Additionally, it would be nice but not necessary to get other information about each entry (like what year it was released, an image and a summary). It would also be nice if all the data can be exported.

Ive used Memento Database so far but it is quite buggy (it erases data or doesnt show the information Ive added at times) and is more fit for owned collections of books/games etc rather than experienced books/games etc.

I dont mind paying for the app

Any apps to create custom workout programs?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2022 02:25 PM PST

I use Jefit now but creating my own custom workout program is a pain unless the program repeats the same workouts every week. I also find it's exercise database clunky to pull from. Ar e there any other workout program apps that anyone can recommend? I tend to like to create a customized program around Beachbody workouts using workout scheduler.net but it doesn't have recording functions for the workouts if that gives an idea of what I'm looking to do.

    Looking for movie/series tracker

    Posted: 01 Jan 2022 08:43 AM PST

I've tried every movie/series tracker app i can find. Haven't found one that really covers all I want it to. Was hoping for some tips. What I'm looking for in such an app: * Trakt.tv integration * Information on where to stream like justwatch * Notifications when watchlisted movies appear on my favorite streaming services. * Multiple rating systems. Like IMDb, tmdb, trakt, rotten tomatoes * Trailers * Recommendations based on my ratings

For now I'm using showly, justwatch and Letterboxd but was hoping to find a better option.

App for cataloging books by cover photo?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2022 11:42 AM PST

I have been looking for a way to quickly scan books into a catalog, including comics without ISBNs. I am seeking an android app that can use the camera to generate a spreadsheet or database (look up cover, populate book info) or Windows or Linux program that can take a folder of photos, use that to find title isbn and publication info for each, and maybe rename the photos to isbn.

Thank you for any assistance. I'd rather not have to try and build my own.
