LF a game like monster hunter stories and portal knight

    Posted: 27 Jan 2022 12:25 AM PST

i think the game i am looking for is focused on adventure experience, a very good one at that. i don't like the kind where you shot with weapons(at least not on mobile like gta). there are very few mobile games that i liked over the years and here is the list just for reference:

Monster Hunter Stories; Portal Knight; The Wild Darkness; Botworld Adventure; Sky: Children of the Light; Oddmar; Beast Quest; Dragon Quest VIII; Oceanhorn; also Genshin Impact but on PC

Do you enjoy your own games?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2022 05:35 PM PST

May be the wrong place or wrong flair to use, but to all you Android game developers out there - do you enjoy your own games?

I frequently visit the Play store and am disappointed by the options and think "man it would be cool if XYZ game existed". Having a background in Android development, I sometimes think I could just make that game I want. But part of me worries that if I spent all the time making it, would I even enjoy playing it?

So for those of you who have made your own game, how did you feel once you were done? Do you enjoy playing it, or did the development kill the magic of experiencing a fun game? Or was the experience of creating it joy enough?

Excited to hear opinions (or be directed to a better place to post)!

If you haven't played Dead Cells before, the Android port of it is genuinely solid. It does shine best with a controller though.

Gamesir g40pro or Flydigi Vader 2 or Apex 2 controller.

    Posted: 26 Jan 2022 09:15 PM PST

Like the title above, I am currently torn between these three multiplatform controllers. I am familiar with gamesir controller, but Flydigi vader 2 looks pretty good too . I would have given apex 2 a win if the analog trigger isn't digital but it is. What's your choice between these three? I know there's also 8bitdo pro 2, but I prefer the ergonomics of these xbox styled controllers. Any other suggestion is also appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    About to lose my progress

    Posted: 27 Jan 2022 12:46 AM PST

So I have been playing South Park Phone Destroyer for about 2 years using a Google account from my previous workplace. I left them recently and they have disabled my account which means I can no longer log in to the game.

I contacted Ubisoft asking them if they can port my progress to another account and they cannot. I asked my former workplace if they could reactivate my account for a few days to allow me to recover some of my saved stuff so I have a grace period in which I am trying everything possible to save my progress.

I will be mortified if I lose 2 years of hard grinding. Can anyone help?

Looking for Android Browse RPG like

    Posted: 26 Jan 2022 02:08 PM PST

I used to play a lot games like Tanoth in the old days, and I'm currently looking for games with similiar features.. I know there is Shakes and Fidgets but i remember i didn't like It when i tried it. The main things i'm searching for is the energy/time mechanics so i can check it in low time during work pause. I tried things like Warhammer lost Crusade but they take more time. The Best one was Hogwarts Mistery but i have reached the End for now. Any suggestion?

Are there any scriptable RTS like StarCraft (where you can make your own levels/maps/AI from scratch) for Android? Preferably with keyboard support?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2022 08:52 PM PST

I really liked the third-party map editors for SC:Brood War that allowed you to type the code for the triggers instead of using the included point-and-click WYSIWYG map editor.

    • live action but fairly simple dynamics
    • doesn't need audio to play
    • can just pick it up and play for 10 minutes, then walk away

    Posted: 26 Jan 2022 10:26 AM PST

My game is entering beta next week and Localization is on the horizon.

I'm debating whether to start with it Early in the beta or later when full game releases. Hence I'm interested in the above question.
