Thoughts on the battery usage graph in OneUI 3.1?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:50 AM PST

Personally, it sucks, it doesn't let you select any time slot but only fixed ones, it doesn't show you battery percentage at a certain point and it is just a mess to use. Just me or anyone else? How can it be improved? And does OneUI 4 improve upon it?

Do I need Galaxy Buds to get the best audio experience from my S21?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 11:44 AM PST

So I'm in the market for some bluetooth earphones but I dont know whether to get Galaxy Buds or go with another company like Sony or Sennheiser. I want the best possible sound quality and I read that Samsung phones use a special bluetooth codec that only Galaxy Buds support, so I am wondering if this should affect my choice?

Samsung galaxy A30 broken. What backlight type does it have?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 04:32 PM PST

So, I dropped my Galaxy A30 phone, and the screen broke. I need to know if the backlights are LCD or LED, so that I can take the reasonable steps. Which one is it?

Flex Mode Touchpad Everywhere (Z Flip3)

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:39 AM PST

They should make a version of the touchpad that appears in the flex mode Gallery app work with all apps. It's really nice being able to use the top half of my screen in a laptop-like way

So I got the Flip 3 and the front facing camera lens cracked while cleaning...

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 01:34 PM PST

Hi, I purchased the flip 3 about a month & a half ago , liked it. Went to take a pic and it said the lens needed to be cleaned. I cleaned it, where the lens is there is an indent and can apparently be pushed in and it shatters the cover over the lens? This is a manufacturing flaw. It's like putting Saran wrap over a bowl...makes no sense.

Samsung is looking to charge me $378 to fix it. This is absurd to me. They're saying it's out of warranty! It wasn't dropped, there is no other damage whatsoever. The only issue is that pinhole.

Any suggestions? I'm not paying for it. I told them to keep it. Waiting for someone to call back again.

I'm gonna die on this hill...

Does anyone else also hate One UI 4?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 10:47 AM PST

I just got an update this morning and when I went to use my phone, and discovered how terrible everything looks. Notification bar, the animations look worse, I was getting Notifications from websites I had never signed up for and turned off, etc. Many customizations I made to my phone through settings and been changed or reverted, with no way to fix. It's honestly is driving me NUTS. I HATE this new update, and wish my phone hadn't updated.

Edit: Forogot to add, also noticed today that the battery life is Much worse on my S21+ than it was before the update. I've talked to others with this same issue with the S21, +, and Ultra

Really good optimization for a budget phone

    Posted: 01 Dec 2021 09:49 PM PST

So last week i bought galaxy a22 5g version for my mom for ~$230 and it's been great, the screen is sharp since the resolution is full hd+ and 90hz also makes scrolling really smooth but the general performance for day to day use is what makes big difference, this phone open apps ridiculously fast, for a second i couldn't believe it, for example when i open phone app there's no splash screen, it's open straight to dial number section, it seems like the phone app was already in ram but it wasn't because i opened it after a reboot, for what i read on gsmarena this phone is still using emmc 5.1 which is slower than ufs 2.1, but somehow this phone can beat other phone with ufs 2.1/2.2 in app opening speed test such as galaxy a52, poco m3 pro 5g, redmi note 10t 5g. Overall pretty satisfied with the phone, it's really hard lately to find samsung phone with FHD+ LCD screen in ~$200 budget range, glad I've found this phone.

    S21 choppy update

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 08:18 AM PST

A few days ago, I posted here on reddit about which phone I should get, the S20+ (128) or the S21 (256). Both were Exynos. Majority answered the S21 due to the "chipset" of the S20+ being a "disaster". Not much were different in the camera specs but many pointed out that the S21 had better processing power and therefore higher quality photos.

I actually got both phones and tested them for about 2 days prior to the post. The S20+ design just irks me about how it does not stand out. As an average user, the specs did not make much difference (and considering there is not alot of difference between both phones).

I got the S21 in the end and I am quite comfortable with the smaller screen, though I miss the lacking screen space. I have mixed feeling regarding this trade off. Anyhow, the S21 already have OneUI4 whereas the S20+ was still stuck on OneUI3. As I now only had the S21, I had more time experiencing it and I realized how choppy it is from closing apps to switching between them. It was a different experience from the S20+.

I am not sure if this is specific to the device but I expected more from the chipset. This leads me to believe that the OneUI4 is the one causing this choppy experience?

Those with OneUI4, does it seem this way? For S21 users, did your experience improve after the upgrade

    order tracking

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 02:40 AM PST

I recently ordered an s21 ultra, and I'm wondering how you guys like to track your orders (if you track them at all). Would you say its best through the website or is it better to use the postage website? I can't use the samsung website (australia) because when i click the link on the order page showing my purchases, it opens a popup for the tracking page which loads forever. Would there be another way to track items? (Normally I search track post australia and use the first website, but I wasn't given a tracking number when I bought the s21ultra)
