Was there any good laptop sales over holidays Posted: 03 Dec 2021 02:40 PM PST Was there any good laptop sales over holidays Just list good laptops deals that has these in recent times and I'll look into them
Laptops that doesn't have any problems. Maybe more popular models since unpopular ones maybe would have more problems No used (or returned and resold) laptops since those would have problems Would there be any good sales over next holiday, guess we'll see... Think macbooks also have heat problems so don't think worth looking into but may look into them in future? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Dec 2021 01:27 PM PST My laptop suddenly had no audio when updating its audio drivers. I don't know why it stopped, but it stopped when I was using a driver updater for all my drivers. When I check my sound devices, it says NVIDIA Output isn't plugged in. If it helps, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. [link] [comments]

Looking for some Laptop Advice Posted: 03 Dec 2021 11:29 AM PST I'm in the market for a new laptop. I plan to mostly use it for hobbyist photo editing in Lightroom (nothing super intense, but I do edit RAW image files), as well as web browsing, video streaming, Microsoft Office, etc. I've been looking at the Lenovo C940, Lenovo 7i, and the Dell XPS 13. I picked up a Lenovo C940 with the 4K display (16 GB RAM), and while it's beautiful I'm leaning toward return it because it's not so hot on battery life (a big priority for me). Unfortunately the non-4K version seems to only be available in 8GB RAM. The Dell XPS 13 is available in 16GB RAM which is tempting. I do prefer the build quality/feel of the Lenovo though. I'm coming from an Asus with 12 GB of ram and 512GB SSD, and I was thinking I would stay around there or go up to 16GB RAM. But would I lose much performance if I dropped down to 8GB RAM? I'm not an expert at this and wondering if I'm overthinking it for me level of performance needs. Thank you for any help you can provide! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2021 11:24 AM PST Hi mates in couple of weeks I will need a new laptop, I really like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 with the specifications I have budgeted for are AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800HS, RAM 16GB, GTX 1650 4GB. The problem is there that there are 2 different types of screens for those specs - 1st FHD with 144hz and 2nd WQHD with 120hz response time. I read about the screen and some people are complaining about ghosting and for some of the people there is the problem that they receive headaches. I didn't understand from which screen they have those problems. Please comment which display is better! [link] [comments]

Looking for literally the cheapest laptop imaginable that can load a browser and document editor. Posted: 03 Dec 2021 05:44 AM PST TL;DR - Looking for the literal cheapest laptop possible that can boot Linux, connect to internet, load a browser, and type documents. Thats it.
The cheapest possible USD.
I would prefer new for security reasons, but used can be dealt with. How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
I am travelling with the device, so smallest/lightest would be nice.
N/A
Literally just Firefox, a document suite software, and nothing else of importance.
N/A
Would like a keyboard and trackpad but thats pretty standard. A USB C port is nice but not at all needed.
What can I find that is literally barest of bones for the barest of wallets? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
