I would love it if someone were to highlight the steps that I need to take to convert my China ROM based MiPad 5 to Global ROM, and get the bootloader locked again. I've followed some steps online, but each time I try to re-lock the bootloader, after restarting, I get a screen indicating that the ROM is not meant for the device. I am a total newbie and do not want to risk bricking my tablet. Any help or "idiot" proof guidance / steps would be greatly appreciated. Please and many thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

I like the new phone overall but i am having this weird issue where video playback when using Chrome (didn't try other browsers) will just freeze after few seconds while audio continues to play normally. No matter how many times i refresh the page, the same thing happens every single time. It plays 2-3 seconds and just freezes the video while i can hear the audio in the background. | Need help with flashing xiaomi.eu rom on Indian Mi 11x Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:19 PM PDT Hi guys, I was trying to flash xiaomi eu rom on my mi 11x since I see new features and better performance from that rom. One thing that comes up always is that the board name "alioth" needs to be changed to "aliothin" otherwise it won't flash through twrp. Can anybody tell me which file in the rom i have to open and modify the text in? I don't want to flash fastboot rom since it has chances of hard bricking the device. Thanks!! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:11 PM PDT Before this last update, the amount of hours I could get when fully charged ranged between 45 and 50 hours. Now MIUI shows about 24- 27 hours when fully charged. My usage pattern didn't change at all as I am usually using my computer for internet usage etc. Is there a known bug in this iteration of MIUI that causes this? And does a fix exist? | Memory problems on Redmi Note 5 Posted: 01 Nov 2021 11:26 AM PDT My Redmi Note 5 is a Chinese phone with global ROM MIUI 11 on it with 3gb ram and recently my phone has suddenly gotten slower as only a week ago it was fine. My normal 1.9gb free memory turned into 1.0-1.1 and my cache is constantly really high and after around 20 minutes of using the phone it starts to slow down.
