Why does Samsung continue to get away with putting ads in your notification shade Posted: 29 Nov 2021 10:44 AM PST So this is the 3rd day in a row I keep getting these ads in my notification shade. How does Samsung get away with pushing these to people when we've already paid $800-1100 already for the phone? I mean it's not the biggest deal in the world but I can go buy a Moto G Pure for $100 and not get ads in it's notification shade. They should change this imo Here's the picture for context: [link] [comments] |
Samsung S21 clipboard disappeared Posted: 29 Nov 2021 09:59 PM PST After update to android 12 with UI 4, I don't have clipboard (copied texts) anymore. When long press on keyboard, copied text not appearing. I can still find all copied text in the side edge panel, but that is just extra work and too many buttons press to get there. Is how this work (android 12) now or it's just me. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2021 02:24 PM PST So I bought my Galaxy Book S in March 2020. Love everything about it. Suits my use perfectly, never slowed down, glitched or froze. However, in 2020 around Sep/Oct the screen just went black and unresponsive. Sent it in for repairs (was within warranty - really good service btw.) And its all well and good. Come 2021, same problem once more. Send it in for repairs, get it back. Regarding how I treat it, I'm not heavy handed. I pretty much almost never use the touch screen. I've never bumped it nor thrown it (it's my first expensive electronic purchase - so I'm extra careful with it). So it's kinda making me wonder if anyone else has had this problem? Is this a model thing? Has it been fixed? Cause this is kinda making me not want to choose Samsung again when I want to upgrade to a newer ultrabook. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2021 06:04 AM PST Okay guys, I currently have an offer : S20+ (128Gb) and S21 (256Gb). The catch is that the S21 is about a $100 more expensive. Considering that the S21 has presumably worse specs that was unveiled at a lower price, it is making the decision hard. On the other hand, I am gonna get an extra year of software support. I am not one to change my phone every few years. I use second hand phones because brand new phones are too expensive for me (pls dont judge). I would appreciate some input in this decision, and perhaps some details I may have missed. PS: The base S21 size feels right-er on my hand but I can manage the S20+ size (+ i got more screen size to work with). I have the buds pro and tab S6 w keyboard to pair it with. Update : Both phones use Exynos chip Update #2 : I realized that the specs is mostly looked upon but not the price. As it is a second hand, the s21 is about a $100 more expensive. [link] [comments] |
Samsung Flip battery drain sucks. Posted: 29 Nov 2021 11:23 PM PST Bought a new Flip today. Battery drained from 100% to 24% in 3 hours. Seems to be a common complaint with this model. I've owned so many Samsungs and this will be the 1st one in 15 years that I will promptly be returning. I got it from a t mobile store. It looks used. Surprised! Never had a negative Samsung experience! Anyone else have this issue? [link] [comments] |
Is the Galaxy tab s8 likely to be bundled with the galaxy buds 2? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 09:30 PM PST Wondering if it's worth purchasing a pair while the sale is still going on or wait till January/February when the tab s8 gets released. What's the likely hood that these two will get bundled? [link] [comments] |

and all these exist for a reason people. SamMobile is shit in every way possible. Their articles, their click bait, their website, their services, everything. [link] [comments] |
Can others give their experience of samsung phones? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:53 PM PST I'd like to share my biggest gripe with samsung phones in my experience. I'd had a galaxy S5,s10e, and now a s20+ and all my devices have had the same issue; GPS inconsistencies. It is NEVER accurate and always need re calibrating. I find myself having to re-calibrate it everyday just for an accurate signal. My friend who's also had a few samsung devices says the same thing as he is avid commuter like I and we've come to the conclusion that it's more than likely the device. Does samsung just cheap out on their GPS chips? For context, my entire family uses iphones and they've never had to recalibrate their GPS using either google or apple maps. Not the best sample set but still something to mention. I feel like making the switch over to apple at this point for that piece of mind because I feel like going with any other android at this point will be a YMMV situation and i'd like something more along the sides of a guarantee. Kinda disappointed I can't get the 256gb version, is it still worth getting at 128gb? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 11:16 AM PST I wanted the larger memory version from best buy but they're all out. [link] [comments] |
Galaxy S20+ 5G (Exynos) or S20 FE 5G? Both same price. Posted: 29 Nov 2021 11:13 AM PST Simple question. I can get both for nearly same price. Im looking for upgrade from S8. Im not such power user, i barely use phone for games. If I could obtain SD version i would go for S20+ without doubts :/ [link] [comments] |
Samsung website (US) broken for Cyber Monday Posted: 29 Nov 2021 01:00 PM PST When trying to purchase a phone from the site, you will receive Cyber Monday pricing (ie for A52 5g $399.99 from $499.99). If you then add a trade in, it will apply this to the base price (ie $499.99) resulting in an offer ABOVE THE ORIGINAL SALE PRICE (ie $424.99 for a $75 trade in). Nothing can apparently be done, either online, with chat, or with phone support, to fix this. The system will NOT ALLOW purchasing with the sale and trade in even internally without applying this error. Support will then try to get you to buy and fix the price issue later using "price matching" with a screenshot of their own malfunctioning website, which given the site is not working in the first place is an unreliable promise to make. Is the exynos S20 FE really bad ? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 12:09 PM PST I'm thinking about taking advantage of the Cyber Monday to change my phone. I can have either a Galaxy a52s 5g for 350€ or a S20 FE 4G for 400€. I don't know if the 4G version I could buy is an exynos or SD version and heard that the exynos version is pretty bad. So I have two question: 1) how is the exynos version now, after many updates and 2) if it is the exynos version is it still worth the 50€ difference ? What makes me hesitate is the wireless and reverse wireless charging. I don't think I would really use Dex and I don't use cameras. I also don't really play any game, except maybe a GB emulator from time to time. [link] [comments] |

Upgrading from Galaxy S8. S20 FE, Pixel 6, or S21 FE. Posted: 29 Nov 2021 06:50 AM PST I have a Galaxy S8 and looking to finally get a new phone as this one is on it's last limbs. There are some good deals on the pixel 6 and S20 FE. I've liked my Samung for the most part but am willing to switch it up.... Leaning towards staying with Samsung but anyone have any recommendations? Should I wait for the S21 FE? Not sure if it would be worth the price considering how low the S20 FE is right now. Also, I'd prefer to have longevity with my phone (over 2 years), battery life is important too. Other than that the additional bells and whistles are nice to have but I generally like a phone that just works well (use it for mostly browsing and media). Money isn't too tight, but I'd rather not overpay for something I don't need. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2021 10:28 AM PST So I'm shopping around for Cyber Monday (late, I know, I should've been looking into this way sooner). I had some buds passed to me because my dad got new ones. But to my knowledge, they weren't that used when I received them. They're the Galaxy Buds+ and they worked great until the last week or two. I'm on phone calls or listening to videos almost all day. For a while, they hadn't been telling me when they were at 15% like they originally did. And in the last couple weeks, they would go from 100% to 0% in less than two hours. It's very frustrating since I'm normally in long calls. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about the newer models and I'm really not a tech gal so it's making me a bit nervous. I don't want to have to return them and then pay full price for a different set if I don't like the ones I pick. So my question is, if you had to recommend one for me, what would it be and why? If it's of any note, I need them for both phone call and audio quality; battery life is also a must because of the aforementioned long calls. I currently have a Galaxy S10. I'm not sure if this makes a difference, my dad said it does lol Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :) [link] [comments] |
Water stuck in front lens of Samsung Galaxy s10+ Posted: 29 Nov 2021 07:58 AM PST Ever since I left work yesterday the front part of my phone's camera has not been working . When tried to use my phone camera the front camera was really blurry. So i tried to let it rest in rice overnight. That didn't work . Now I can't even turn on my front camera or take any pictures on snapchat. I'm guessing this happened because some goof dropped my phone in the sink at work or maybe when I was showering condensation seeped into the lens . If I were to take my phone to get fixed would they charge alot? Does anyone have any suggestions? . [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Nov 2021 03:44 PM PST Samsung has a referral program that creates a 5% off code for friends, and gives rewards to the referrer. I'm about to make a purchase and the 5% off would really help. I'd appreciate it if anyone could share one of these codes in PM or chat to bring my cost down. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Nov 2021 04:52 PM PST I have had the new s21 5g for the last 4 months, and I have noticed very often the phone gets super hot and than tells me I can't use multiple windows till it cools down. Now i never really use it for anything other than youtube, ig , reddit etc. It gets worse if I want to shoot a quick video but even without using video it still does this. And I also noticed my battery 🔋 last no where near as long as my old A20 which is a down grade from the s series. Any insight would be appreciated 🙏 should I get a new one under warranty? Or is this a common thing ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Nov 2021 04:37 PM PST Screen protector I just got an S21 ultra and I'm trying to see what a good screen protector is that still let me use my fingerprint scanner. I got the MOUS case So I am hoping that it fits with it. Also I recently switched from a Google pixel 3 to Samsung, are there any cool features that I should check out [link] [comments] |
