Is the S20+ better than the S21?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 03:03 PM PDT

I was shopping around today and to me it looks like the S20+ is a better phone all around than the S21.

Is this true? What is better about the S21 ultra over the S20+?

i ordered an s21 yesterday and today it’s out of stock and i’m a bit confused…

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 02:07 PM PDT

i'm in UK and yesterday i ordered a base s21. it said shipping within 7-10 days and i'm fine with that, it gave me a date to choose for it to arrive and i picked the earliest which is 10th November. ordered successfully!! today i decided to look at that same phone for no reason (i was very bored) and i saw it said 'get stock alerts' instead of 'buy now'. i thought i was just in time to order mine before stock ran out and felt lucky. but now i'm thinking what's gonna happen to my order. will they delay my delivery? am i affected by the low stock of was i able to get myself one of the last models before they ran out and in need to restock?

My A52 takes blurry front facing(selfie) photos, sent for repair under warranty, they sent it back claiming there's no issue.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:19 PM PDT

Bought this phone about a month ago and only a few weeks later have I realized that it takes blurry front camera pictures, much worse than my old J6 from 2018. While they are sharp from very close distance, about 40 cm or so, if you stretch your arm, they will be blurry every single time. I have tested it in bright sunlight to make sure it's not the shutter speed but the same issue occurs. I have sent it in for warranty repairs as I was past my return date and they have sent it back claiming that there is no issue and it works as it should. They have tried to explain to me that it's normal to have a sharp subject and blurry background but they have omitted completely that the subject on this phone is always blurry as well. I have also went into a Samsung support center and while they have noticed the issue, they have recommended me to use the back cameras for most of my pictures. What kind of half assed response is that? I have been a Samsung user for a very long time, convinced my family to use Samsung phones but this is just making me feel disgusted of how they treat their customers. Very disappointed.

Here are some comparison pictures, tell me how is this camera working correctly ?

Just received a message on my 2015? UN65JU7500 about metadata license expiry

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 11:14 AM PDT

Channel search, voice channel tuning, and service provider setup will be cancelled December 31, 2021 due to metadata licensing expiry.

I don't know what kind of impact that will have on older devices, but figured I'd throw it out into the ether. I googled the terms but can't find any related websites.

    Switching to Google Pixel Phones

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 06:13 PM PDT

If I were to switch from my galaxy s20 to a Google pixel phone, will anything be affected in terms of the Samsung ecosystem? I'm rocking the galaxy buds pro, galaxy watch and galaxy tab s7. Is it a good idea to switch to Google?

    Phone poltergeist?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 09:46 PM PDT

Having a weird problem with my S20+. It seems like it takes screen shots out of nowhere or like its swiping from screen to screen. Also when a video is paused on screen it will flicker like its taking a screen shot and continue playing the video. Help? I have looked everywhere and cant find anything the same.

Searching for a phone case for my new Galaxy 21

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 05:53 PM PDT

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a case for the Galaxy S21 5G that has a slot for a charm. I'm not worried about dropping my phone, i rarely do so, so i don't mind if it's not otterbox level sturdy. Just something to hang a little thing from the side.

Android auto stutter/connectivity issues with S21 series

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:07 PM PDT

I've been having this issue since I first got my car a few months ago. There are active discussions on google forums regarding this intermittent stutter and connectivity issues with Android auto on S21 series for the most part and some other phones. Looks like Google is investigating and working on it since forever!

Anyone here found a solution to this problem or knows more about a potential fix? It's frustrating to have a new car with this tech just to realize one of the main digital feature is pretty much useless.

How is your experience with A52s?What would you change?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 02:28 PM PDT

I use it for a month now and its been pretty good ,great performance and screen, decent battery but I have a bit of complaining about the camera . Its decent but video quality has rolling shutter and its pretty obvious, also 60fps no Eis,no 60fps on ultrawide. The vibration motor is probably one of the worst I have felt on a mid range phone .

    Typical Samsung Sale Schedule?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 12:54 PM PDT

    Hi,
Stupid question, but what does the holiday sale schedule typically look like for Samsung laptops? I'm looking at buying a Pro or Pro360 for my first in-person semester of college, but I want to make sure I'm getting the best deal.
    Thanks!

    Samsung Q90T connection issues

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 10:51 AM PDT

About 1/2-1/3 of the time I start my tv up it says there is no internet connection (I have it connected to a router via wifi 5Ghz). I talked to Samsung support and the person said that the Q90T doesn't support 5Ghz and that I need to change to a 2,4 GHz wifi for it to run better. I'm trying search on the inet to find that this is correct, it sounds super weird that it wouldnt support 5Ghz. Anyone knows?

    Rant About "Supported" Native Apps

    Posted: 01 Nov 2021 08:06 AM PDT

Per title, this is just a rant, not asking for tech support.

I have a Samsung phone, so if any apps should be updated and run properly, you'd think it would be Samsung apps, right?

    Wrong.

My favorite app is Write on PDF (I have a Note and use it to sign work documents). However, my Note20 does not support the "old" app. These Samsung apps are meant for older phones. It worked best and flawlessly on my Note9, and kinda worked on my Note10.

Another app that just isn't supported is the measuring app. Can't think of the name right now (quick measure, maybe), but I used it on my Note10 and when I got the new phone, it simply deleted the app from my phone and I cannot download it because it's not supported on a newer phone. How does Samsung not update their apps to work on the latest phones?!

    This is absolutely inexcusable!

TLDR - some Samsung apps aren't supported on newer Samsung phones.
