    In PC Health check says it meets all the requirements to upgrade to Windows 11, but in Windows Update I am still getting an error saying this computer doesn't meet the requirements. Any idea what I can do?

    I'm attempting to burn some cds (which I've done plenty of times before on this computer), and I got all of the files legally, yet all but 3 of the tracks refuse to register. they're all the same file type, and I'm using all of the same hard and software as before. Has anyone else had this problem?

    it's a compressing algorythm thought for windows and i tried to compress a file with it because i have into my imported bookmarks a link to a web page which have a 14 MB game compressed in just a few of KB so i want to know how this is possible i tried to do it my silf but i finalized using 7zip

    Should we expect more "softwear" from Microsoft?

    I know it's not really Windows related as it is more Microsoft related in general, but I wanna have my chance to get some official Windows jumpers/sweatshirts, like they just look so good.

    Maybe they should make one for Windows Vista or Windows 11, or an Xbox one, it would be just so cool.

    The only ones I know of is a Windows 95 one, a Windows XP one, and a Microsoft Paint one.

    Also if this post is wrongly flaired, I'm sorry.

    They are slowly releasing a new beta, check it for yourself dudes! I just opened the website, and... they updated it. They keep working on WinAmp. Just. Oh. My. (Edit: As long as they don't release the update, use WACUP! It is a Winamp fork that gets updated many times :D)

    Alternative System Settings Programs to Snake Oil Programs Like Glary/Ccleaner?

    Yes, I know nobody really needs Glary or Ccleaner, and Windows has many great tools pre-installed.

    The problem is, they're all over the place. If I want to change my startup programs I need to go here, want to update my drivers I need to go there.

    So...are there any "non-cleaning" system tools similar to Glary's without the snake-oil? A one-stop-shop for all my settings needs?

    Discover the Hostname through the username

    My problem is this. I need to find the Hostname of a machine I work on. I would like to know if there is any command via CMD for me to find the hostname searching for the username that is logged on the machine.

    Bought a new PC and forgot to remove license before formatting files, can't validate now

    OK, so the title pretty much says it.

    I have a retail licence, and I just bought a new PC. I transferred the hard drives and the SSDs to the new one and formatted the windows disk to avoid driver issues.

    Idiot me forgot to use that cmd command to remove licence from my PC and now Windows says another device is already using the product key.

    Is there any other way of handling this that doesn't include me having to put my HDDs back again, reinstall windows, just to remove the licence from old PC?

    Help - Creating a script that will delete Core System files and Registry but dont know how to do so

    Hi all,

    I know the title may seem malicious in nature, but its because I work in cybersecurity at my job and we are using our EDR tool API to send remote commands to a workstation in the event it is compromised so it can be logically destroyed. I come from a linux background so im having some difficulty understanding how to go about using Powershell / CMD to remove the following folders in windows ;

    $USERS Directory

    Program Files

    Program Files (x86)

    Windows/System32

    All of Core Windows Registry

    ​

    Does anyone know the easiest CLI commands to execute (regardless of CMD or Powershell) that will delete those core system files and folders? I could probably get the users folder no issues, but running Powershell/CMD as Admin doesnt seem to work when trying to delete the other windows core directories.

    Windows 7 32-Bit Memory Limitation

    I have a machine at work that is driving me more crazy than usual and just found out that because it is running a 32 bit version of Windows 7 the maximum ram that it can use is 4 GB. Two part question, why is this a thing and is there a way around it?

    Infinite automatic repair loop after power shortage

    So i had a power shortage today and now my computer is stuck in an infinite repair loop

    Pc - win 11

    Startup settings wont start because when i try to use it it just goes back into automatic repair

    Cmd - tried alot of fixes and nothing worked

    Deleting updates - neither worked due to windows finding a problem and couldn't delete updates

    Help, my PC fail every time I try to update.

    On Windows Update I receive every time the error "your device is missing important security and quality fixes" and then "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code 0x80070570". I think that my windows is kinda corrupted, the DISM command in the CMD doesn't work, the update to Windows 11 doesn't even list on the update tab and if I try to update via the tool on the Microsoft site, it'll go through and then at the 60% will stop the update with an error "The installation of Windows 11 has failed".

    What can I do? Sorry for my bad English but I am Italian.
