But technology's improved, bezels are smaller etc. Now they could achieve success, but people are prejudiced because of the unfortunate past... Just look at GPD Win Max. The problem is that I'd prefer something cheaper, more energy-efficient, not modern gaming oriented, for browsing the Internet, watching movies and undemanding/old games. You could recommend tablets, but holding them in your hand for a long time isn't comfortable. Kickstand keyboards are unstable and don't provide enough mobility. Often lack touchpads, what's disappointing considering that touch screen makes your input less precise and you can't e.g. hover the cursor over the text to display a tooltip. Ultrabooks? They're too big and still heavy. There are some new netbooks, but they're so exotic I can't even buy them in my country. I wish tablets didn't steal the whole niche. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Latops with no cutouts on bottom Posted: 01 Nov 2021 09:51 AM PDT Hello there!Is there currently any line of laptops without cooling intake on the bottom? Every Windows laptop I have seen have intake or exhaust on the bottom, the only laptops that I ever had with this type of cooling are Macbooks.Now I got the new M1 laptop for few hours and I returned it, because of some issues. But the cooling was on next level, compared to my current Acer laptop Tiger lake (fan is always on and cant be controlled, and intake is on botom), I also have some older Macbook that have very similar type of cooling (no intake on bottom) but its from 2015, so its not good enough. I am actually looking for such laptop for long time and the new macbook was my last hope, but that wont work for me unfortunately, my last chance is to try to get the 14" Macbook. While i was in University today I wanted to use my laptop for the first time ( first day actually in the Uni) and it started making weird noises, which annoyed me and the people around. when I came home I started it up again, and it immidiently started making even weirded noises and louder too. i recorded a video, audio is a bit muffled so just add like 8-9 decibel to it. my laptop is a Lenovo lenovo ideapad l340 gaming from 2019 I really need help quick by I have some courses who require having a laptop, and I need it for home work and prep too. so if anyone knows what the problem is let me know Btw when I wanted to clean the laptop it didn't let me open it and I didn't resort to much force as I was worried breaking it. its been used nearly everyday since December 2019. The i5 one also has a configurable ram of 8gb and 4gb for the same price. which laptop is better between these 2. I will use my laptop mainly for school, light gaming and dual booting macos.
