- my laptop has done this a couple times now i don’t know why. you can see a slight overlay of a different tab. How do i fix this

The choice is between the following models: 1.HP Specter X360 14 i7-1165G7 / 16Gb / OLED 2.Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro R-5800H / 16Gb / IPS
Before that, I recently bought a Razer Book 13 i7-1165G7 / 16Gb / IPS. I was not more disappointed. BSOD several times a day, although according to the characteristics it more than suited me. In the end, I returned it. First of all I would like a 16:10 or 2: 3 screen. However, if everything is in order in other parameters, this can be neglected. I really would not like to get a problem laptop again. Games are not interesting. What is important is usability, a good keyboard, and a nice screen. Convertible is good, but not necessarily. I often need to run multiple programmes (Microsoft Office programmes, Spotify etc) and have tons of tabs open at the same time. Occasionally I need to do graphic design tasks that require Canva and Photoshop. Colour accuracy would therefore be a bonus but isn't essential. I'll also be doing some occasional gaming but nothing particularly intense, probably Minecraft and LotRO, so I don't think I need a gaming laptop. The options I'm currently considering are:

| Posted: 12 Nov 2021 01:40 PM PST Hi, I'm not posting a lot on reddit (never in fact, I'm more a reader). I work in post production, mostly adobe (so premiere, after effects, photoshop, ... ), and I also do a bit of 3D (3ds max and Houdini ) and gaming (football manager mostly). I'm using my 7 years old Asus Rog 17", it's still doing the job ( I upgraded it to 32Go of ram, change the SSD) but he is getting older and I need to change. And also, he is fucking fat, so moving with it is a challenge. I don't want a 17" laptop anymore, it's way to big to carry for me (I'm a thin and small women). So after loooooong research, I was interessed in the Razer Blade 15" ( i7 11800H - RTX 3070 - 16Go ram - SSD 512Go - screen Full HD or the QHD ). I was not looking for the mac because I had lost faith in them, that was too expensive compared to a windows pc with better spec. But then, they release the new mac book pro, and I thaught "OK, but they are not upgradable, so maybe 16Go of ram would not be enough" but now Dave2D release a video, and from his tests, 16Go of ram is already huge. And also I saw the new Mac book pro in store and thaught "14" is not that small anymore". So now, I'm lost. The razer is still my top choice for what I need, it's light (2kg) and even if it's expensive, I can upgrade it later. But the mac book seems more powerfull or even better for my needs and the battery stay longer, they are quieter.... I checked Asus, Dell, ... in 15" razer still seem to be the best in the pc category. I need honest advice , I don't want pro apple or anti apple advise but honest and fair advise . And, oh, I'm in France (so the prices are higher). And sorry if my english is not perfect, I hope it's still understandable. [link] [comments] | ||

It had a lot of issues (lagging, crashing, overheating) about a year ago. It's also been resurrected once from being waterlogged. I was sure it was on its last legs and mentally preparing to buy a new one. But now magically it works fine. As good as ever? I didn't do anything except clean up a few files. I was looking into buying a few more expensive apps for it but someone mentioned I should invest in a new laptop first, purely because of its age (almost a decade now - apparently the average lifespan for laptops is a lot less than that!)
