Windows VNC Server Help Posted: 29 Sep 2021 09:22 AM PDT I have a PC at home, but I'm looking to control it from my school. We have a fairly good wifi connection, and some nice Chromeboxes to use in the library. The only issue, is that they block all tools like TeamViewer or Remote Desktop. I have tried to set up my own VNC Server, but they block all server connections. The only website I found they haven't blocked is the NoVNC online demo site. I am having trouble getting that to work though. If someone could help me figure out how to set up a Windows VNC client that works with the online NoVNC demo, I would be very grateful! Problem with Grub on Debian Posted: 29 Sep 2021 09:40 AM PDT Hello, my name is Maxi, I am learning Linux, but my problem is that I am installing Debian 11 (32bits) on an old PC: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ FX 5200 (128MB) Ram 1512mb I know that they say that Debian is not highly recommended for newbies, but I see that it is very good and one of the few distros that still has 32-bit support, I installed it and everything was fine but at the moment of starting the Grub the screen remains in black, I imagine it will be that it does not recognize the resolution or the video card, I cannot find solutions on the internet, I only found how to solve it in Ubuntu but when pressing "e" the commands that appear in the Debian Grub are not the same, I tried recovery mode but the same thing happens, someone tells me what to do? Fps drops and spikes Posted: 29 Sep 2021 12:59 PM PDT while running minecraft, genshin impact and google chrome a few days ago, I had no fps drops and was confused when I started getting some. When running minecraft, I run at 600fps and while running genshin impact I get a lot lower and have fps spikes. Google chrome also doesn't give me 165fps from 165hz monitor while minecraft is completely fine. Sometimes when I launch genshin impact, I get a message saying "Optimus Display: Enabled" and my fps problems are solved, but I still don't know why I get optimus display enabled and how I can get my fps back up. submitted by /u/Omitron_ [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 12:11 AM PDT I'm not sure if this is the correct sub but I just want to ask if theres a possible to unlock company's laptop, just resigned this year and i dont have the chance to return my company's laptop. Though it is already deducted by my final pay so i want to use it personally instead. Its an HP chromebook. Tried to reboot but it didnt work. It says. I am running Opera, and tabs keep opening every few minutes, full of porn and rubbish. If I close Opera, it reopens it and opens new tabs??? ​ Also if I try a Google search it says... Posted: 28 Sep 2021 03:01 PM PDT Hello, I am having a very strange problem. I have a MiniPC (BMAX) which is running 24h and today I found it restarted. Now I am having this problem: If I save any type of file or whatever (e.g. new .txt on the desktop, new .png in documents folder etc..), when I restart the system they disappear and it seems that the system restores itself at some point with my old files on desktop etc... I have tried several times with several restarts, turned off everything and unplugging everything but I am not able to solve it... Is this a malware or some hardware malfunction?? How to solve??
