Android 11 lockscreen numbers are to high Posted: 29 Aug 2021 03:23 PM PDT So on Op6 Android 10 the lockscreen numpad was pretty low allowing easy one-hand use. Now it's so high that I always have to use 2 hands. My question: How can I position it lower? [link] [comments]

The new update is destroying my battery Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:26 AM PDT I'd appreciate some help from this. IV barely used my phone since morning and lost nearly 40% in 6 hours. This was never an issue until I updated the phone a week ago. I have nothing on my screen, it's not on or anything. My phone is at the side while I work. I got a OnePlus 6. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Aug 2021 09:07 AM PDT I am looking for a new phone and love everything so far about the OnePlus N10 but wanted to know how OnePlus is with security updates and software updates before I purchased it. I have bought Moto phones before and you seem to rarely get many updates. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Aug 2021 01:54 PM PDT Hi, I've been a 1+1 and 1+5 user since their release dates, I loved the fast charge, but my 1+5 battery is now uncharging at a higher rate than ever, also the usb-c port/cable is starting to be tricky... so I'm starting to look around to find a new candidate. My budget is 400€, I use the phone mainly to surf the web and a bit of gaming, I don't care much about the camera. What would you suggest me to get for the latest One Plus phones? During last years I've read many complains on the oneplus forums, but atm i'm not much up to date Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:41 AM PDT Does there exist a oneplus phone that has built in equalizer settings in the EU? Im thinking of upgrading my oneplus 5 but don't want to "lose" the EQ. edit: and by EQ I mean adjustable bars [link] [comments]
Issues with N10 Android 11 Upgrade Posted: 29 Aug 2021 01:35 PM PDT I'm having some issues after the 11 upgrade. I'm using VZW. First, if I go into settings -> wifi & network -> Sim & Network ... I no longer see 5G under the 'preferred network type' options. I also do not seem to be able to use WiFi calling any longer. There's no indicator that wifi calling is active during a call, and I get crappy quality in areas with a flakey signal, but strong wifi. I was hoping someone with the same phone on VZW could verify that either they see the same thing (no 5g in network type options & no indicator whether it's a wifi call) or otherwise. I actually rolled back to the android 10 release, and noticed neither of these things are happening there. I wonder if the 11 upgrade has a borked radio... [link] [comments]
those of you with the 9R, how are you liking it? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 05:20 PM PDT expecting mine in the mail tomorrow, going to be using it as a second phone to my iPhone 12. pretty excited as i tried the Redmi Note 10 Pro for a week and hated it, so i sold it. initially i wanted the 8T but i was able to find a 9R w/ 256GB brand new online for under 500 USD ( >37,000 ₹, around 424 Euros) [link] [comments]
Whatsapp Live Location not updating on Oneplus 8T? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 09:42 AM PDT I used to have a Oneplus 3T and I would send a live location on Whatsapp to family when I was travelling. However on my Oneplus 8T, the location seems to stop being updated when Whatsapp is running in the background on the phone. I have looked at the settings for Whatsapp. The permission options for Whatsapp location are:
It is currently set to "Ask Every Time", From my understanding, it appears Whatsapp stops updating when it is running in the background on the phone. Any ideas how to fix this? [link] [comments]
Left My OnePlus 7 Pro In A Car For A Few Months Posted: 29 Aug 2021 04:15 PM PDT As the title implies, I left this phone in my car for a few months with the heat being in the upper 80s low 90s quite often. I upgraded over the summer and kinda forget I left this phone in the car. Do you think it's ruined? Would it be safe to charge it up or should I not risk the battery? [link] [comments]
Oneplus 6 screen bad outdoors, or reflective screen protector? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:38 AM PDT I started watching movies outside, and the screen is barely visible in daylight. This isn't direct sunlight, and the scenes I'm watching aren't too dark, but anything that isn't a bright colour turns into an invisible black blob. I thought it was the brightness, although I read on a site I can't find anymore that it was the average 400 nits. Could it be that the OLED is dimming, like they apparently do with age? It's only a 3 year old phone, though. Another thing that crossed my mind was my cheap glass screen protector. It's very reflective, and probably too cheap to have an anti-glare coating. Could that be it, or is poor outdoor brightness, along with a slow and wonky auto-brightness, common amongst the OP6. Can't really take it off to test. [link] [comments]
What Aux cord with charging duo works for the OnePlus 9 pro? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 09:58 AM PDT I bought one but I can't make both work at the same time. Has anyone had any luck? Thanks [link] [comments]
Oneplus 9 Incoming calls straight to voicemail, outgoing calls my audio not going through Posted: 29 Aug 2021 03:49 PM PDT For about a week now, I'm not receiving calls at all and no missed calls are showing up. Going straight to voicemail and I get the notification that a new voicemail is there. When I place a call, the other person cannot hear me and I hear them fine. Rebooting my phone resets this and it goes back to normal for a few hours. Really debilitating for work because I don't see any missed calls. Anyone have a fix or a similar issue? Can't login to Google, no maps in apps, location issue. OP8T Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:47 AM PDT Hello, I've recently got OP8T and I was not planning to use Google account on it as I simply don't need it. But since the start I'm having issues with location GPS, the issue is when I'm inside buildings it's not finding location by network/BT etc. eventhough in settings I switched it on. Only GPS outside of buildings works. Another issue is that I do not see maps in different apps like uber or food delivery apps. So I thought the issue might be because of my lack of Google account login, but when I tried to login I get this error "Couldn't sign it - there was a problem communicating with Google servers". So I'm a bit stuck with lack of network localization, lack of maps in apps, and can't login to Google. Any idea how to fix any of those issues? Photos of those issues here: IMG Thanks a lot. 9 Pro... Not a great experience, steer clear Posted: 29 Aug 2021 02:08 PM PDT I REALLY wanted to love this phone. I loved my 6T I traded in for it... Now I immensely regret the "upgrade" Both my wife and I got 9 Pros on day 1 release and from day 1 they both have had overheating issues regularly. I unfortunately chalked the first overheat up to the setup process since I've had phones in the past get quite hot from a first time setup where a lot of downloads are happening... So I figured that would be the end of it. Now, both devices regularly overheat while streaming music, taking photos/video, using Android Auto, and those are just the main times I have had the issue that I can pinpoint a specific app. The phones don't necessarily stop working when they overheat, but there's no way these things will last long term with the internal damage from constant overheating (at least 2-3 times a week on each device). I've continued being hopeful each time a new update comes out that they have managed to figure out a way to handle the heat better on the software side... But each update continues to change nothing as far as overheating is concerned. Now my power button stopped working properly (treats every single press as a double press, so obnoxious)... So I contacted support and they want me to send it in for repair without first sending me a replacement device... I'm not too familiar with repair processes of other phone manufacturers, but most of the time when I've had tech needing repair, the company sent a new, replacement device first, then they can repair mine and sell it as refurbished... You can't expect people to be without their phones when it's their primary method for contacting people... I'm beyond frustrated with these phones and I am SUPER bothered by the fact that OnePlus won't really acknowledge the overheating issue. They should be pulling these defective devices from the market. [link] [comments]

Does the Nord 2 have analog audio through Usb-C or does it need a DAC? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 06:41 AM PDT Can someone with a Nord 2 and a Usb-C to Jack adapter confirm if the audio output is passive and therefore any adapter works fine, or if you need a specific one with DAC, like this one? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]

Question about OP9 pro china version Posted: 28 Aug 2021 08:03 PM PDT Hi. I'm currently living in Asia and I need a new phone. I intend to buy the OP9 pro. However, the only available version is the china version. There is quite a lot of information about this online, but it is all written with too much jargon and terms I do not understand. Oxygen? OOS? Flashing, booting and rooting? I am not very knowledgeable about these types of things. As I understand it, this China version only affects the firmware and not the hardware. Is this correct? Furthermore, the firmware differences result in the china version not being able to install google playstore or other google software. As such, I would want to install the EU firmware so I can use google software. Online it seems that this is possible. However, despite people saying it is quite easy I do not understand how to do it. A forum post appears to explain that the easiest way is to download Oxygen Updater ( not sure what this is) from the playstore (how do I have access to the playstore without google software?) and flash in local upgrade. I have not idea what "flash in local upgrade" means. Any advice and explanation would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
