I appear to have messed up a setting, help! "wants access to this site" Posted: 14 Jul 2021 03:53 AM PDT When I mouse-over the extension icon, the pop-up says "wants access to this site" on any open tab on my browser (Chrome), before they will work? I was playing with some settings a couple of weeks ago and I appear to have altered a setting which has made things worse. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2021 09:56 PM PDT I just got my monitor (144hz,1080p) and I connected it to my laptop through a hdmi 4k@60hz 2.0b cable, and it keeps disconnecting at random times from working fine to a black screen, and then working fine again. Another issue is that it sometimes stops working and a flickering screen comes up saying that the resolution is on 2400x1080 and that I should change it to 1920x1080p, but both my screens are already on 1920x1080 so Idk what this issue is. Please I really need help!!! [link] [comments]
Saved important files seemingly erased after wiping PC. Posted: 13 Jul 2021 07:23 PM PDT I was wiping my computer, so in order to save my important files, I loaded some into multiple OneDrive folders, and others into a 64 gb thumb drive. After wiping my computer, I load OneDrive, nothing I did was saved. I held onto hope though, because remember, I used the USB, so I plug it in, and, well, nothing's there. I don't know what to do. I think everything's just gone. My PC folder on the USB stick I'd just grayed out. Apparently having nothing else other than 30 kB, which seems to just hold the name. My extra folders on OneDrive, those seem to have just been wiped from existence. No mention of them anywhere even though I explicitly named and sorted multiple folders. I know I restarted my computer completely, so I should've expected to lose some stuff, but OneDrive and a USB stick, separate from each other, just completely losing all my data, that wasn't expected. Does anyone know if I have any options left to somehow retrieve anything? I'm sort of desperate. These files aren't necessarily important in the terms of much, but it's an amalgamation of all the stuff I've attained since I bought my first computer for myself. Sure, it's only been a few years, but this stuff is kind of important to me. [link] [comments] |
