I bought it back in April, this year. At first it was super smooth, much smoother than now. I was running OxygenOS 10 back then. Now I'm running OOS 11. Recently, I noticed that sometimes when I am scrolling through the menu/apps, there are instances when the UI isn't perfectly smooth, it has some intermittent micro slow-downs. I was wondering if it could be a hardware issue, but I haven't really caused a significant shock to my phone so far, I haven't really dropped it on hard surfaces. And if I have, it was from a small height, and the phone was inside its case. [link] [comments]  | ||

I have seen others posting that this is an option on newer devices and was wondering if I can do this on the 6t? | Posted: 16 Jul 2021 12:42 PM PDT So...Yeah. I dropped my 7T and the screen is all messed up. Half black, clearly major damage. And the repair cost for this looks to be about $154 + labor and tax...Likely at least $250 when all is said and done so I will likely scrap it (maybe?). So I thought I would look at getting a pixel now but there is no stock anywhere except the 4A I grabbed from bestbuy (I can not be without a phone). The 4A is nice but too small and I miss the 90Hz. So, what do you all think about the 8T? Reviews look solid except for the camera but I would likely wipe and install Lineage along with the Gcam port which works quite well. The Pixel 5A is rumored to be coming very soon but I have 14 days to return this 4A so I am thinking of the 8T. Now I do have my old 3T floating around running Nitrogen OS and I "could" use it until more pixels arrive (perhaps the 5A or 6) but I am kinda on the fence. Posted: 16 Jul 2021 09:26 AM PDT It's been rumored that Oppo is soft targeting August 15th for their release of ColorOS based on Android 12. I think it is safe to assume that the OxygenOS based on Android 12 will arrive within weeks after Android 12 officially launches. It would fit the previous normal timeline of both companies. If that is so, I wouldn't expect any OS updates until then. Once the new OS launches, I expect a flurry of updates. They are merging ColorOS, OxygenOS and trying to add in elements from Smartisan and Meizu. I expect it to be great but it's going to come in hot. I'm OK with that as I know the net gain in features will be worth it. [link] [comments]  | ||

You have a large animation while you turn screen on, and another large one when you unlock, afterwards they settle down. Some of them can move a bit when you scroll to another screen. | Screen randomly turns on and won't turn off Posted: 16 Jul 2021 05:24 PM PDT I noticed lately that my Oneplus 8 Pro's screen would turn on as if I got a notification despite there not being any notification, and never turning back off. I tried turning off Face unlock, double tap to wake, Wake on notification, turned off Wifi and Bluetooth and NFC and everything else. Still happening. 10 seconds after I put my phone down, the screen would just turn on and stay on. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||

One problem i have faced ( 2-3 times) that after long duration of not using the phone ( in morning ) , the screen sometimes doesn't register touch inputs, only black screen. | OnePlus 5T bluetooth mic not working Posted: 16 Jul 2021 03:17 AM PDT While I've searched the sub reddit and the oneplus forums, and I can't find a solution to this seemingly common problem. Basically anytime I use a bluetooth headset my OP5T still uses built in mic and not the headset's mic. I've A/B tested with my iPhone with 3 different bluetooth headsets and the headsets are fine. This only happened today during a Google Meet call and it used to work without issue. I've rebooted the device, reset the bluetooth settings, reset app permissions, cleared the cache of the bluetooth app and it did not fix the issue. I really don't want to reset my whole phone.
