Posted: 31 May 2021 03:09 PM PDT Hey everyone, I've made an app that lets you use your Android device to convert your wired PC controllers into wireless ones! The app is called Wiredless and was just published to the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.WiredlessApplication.Wiredless)! I've changed the server-side code download link but it looks like the Play Store description hasn't updated. The correct server side download link can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NzIodhUvBL4snmUAYpDirG8ZSTjRnK9W/view?usp=sharing With the app, you plug in a wired USB controller to your phone (that supports USB OTG) and the phone connects wirelessly to a server running on your computer, translating the wired controller into a wireless one! I know this is pretty niche but I haven't been able to find a way to do this yet, and it may be useful to someone in the future. I hope you enjoy and please let me know if you have any feedback! Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:47 AM PDT Okay, don't hate. But last week I used my sister iphone and she had the apple maps app. I loved how it told you ahead of time with specific directions on turn by turn. For example it said "in the next light turn left". I suck at directions and I hate how Android maps just says turn in 300 ft. So, my question is there something like that for Android???🤞 [link] [comments] |
Cannot download Duskwood game after update to the newest android version. Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:49 AM PDT After a update it dissapeared and now i cannot download it. Everytime i try to download the bar progresses to 100% and says that it cannot be downloaded for some reason and redirects me to this page: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7513003?hl=en which none of it works. For any solution i would be thankful [link] [comments] |
An android app that allows different logins or clone of the same app. Posted: 01 Jun 2021 12:22 PM PDT Hi! I have two discord accounts and it's pretty inconvenient to change between the two by logging out and logging back in. Is there any way I can clone the app or use an app that allows the same app to be on the phone twice? [link] [comments] |
I'm looking for a launcher that supports icon changing and custom sorting in app drawer. Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:43 AM PDT Title says pretty much everything. I love nova launcher prime but cant sorting apps in app drawer. There is only a-z sorting and I dont like that way. So do you guys know a decent launcher that support icon changing (individually, I'm not talking about icon pack support, I need to be able to change each app's icon individually) and custom app drawer sorting options? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:16 AM PDT Hello! I am looking for an app that blocks the notifications from apps you don't want to see. And it would be great if it also had the possibility to configure different filters. For example, a "Work" filter that only allows notifications from your to-do app and blocks the rest. A "Home" filter that allows notifications from the chat apps and streaming apps etc. I've been looking for a while and didn't find anything. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

Is there a high bit rate/resolution video conferencing app? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 09:09 AM PDT I do virtual golf instruction at the driving range with my phone on a tripod, but it would be helpful to have better resolution, better bit rate, better frame rate but I know that's probably asking too much. Anyone know of a zoom-like app that allows you to stream in better quality? [link] [comments] |

How do you report a fraudulent developer? Posted: 31 May 2021 04:50 PM PDT A "not so short" backstory: My Google account was hacked recently. Luckily, I had setup 2-step authentication and a recovery email. The hacker turned both off and changed my Google password. Using my Google Account, then the hacker subscribed to 3 of their apps on the Play Store, where after a trial period, it would charge a ridiculous amount as a weekly subscription. The hacker went a step further: they set up email filters in my Gmail such that I would not receive any emails in my inbox. They even cleared my trash after subscribing to their apps! They had even a contingency plan if I quickly recovered my Google Account! The first thing I did was to call up my bank when my 2nd account pinged that my Gmail was compromised. Then I proceeded to recover my Gmail and change the password. Bank calls me today to let me know that they sent a confirmation email to my Gmail for some "pdf paperwork". But I couldn't see anything in my Gmail. Immediately put 2 and 2 together and realized that the hacker must have created some sort of "rule/filter" in place. Went into filters in Gmail and removed all rules/filters and then found a few emails in my "trash folder". Since I recovered my Google Account and changed my password, the hacker no longer had the opportunity to empty my "trash folder". Found emails from Google Play Store reminding me that TOMORROW I will be charged for my subscription to those 3 apps, after the trial period ends. The trial period was like 3-4 days, probably the shortest possible allowed by the Play Store rules. Naturally, I quickly ended those subscriptions. So my question is now: how do you report a fraudulent developer, to take down all three of those apps, end those subscriptions and ban this developer from ever putting apps up in the Play Store? I recognize that they could just open a new account and rinse and repeat. But at least it's something! Just trying to spread the word, in the hopes of maybe helping some poor soul someday. Edit: I didn't want my post to be taken down if I posted the developer in the original post, so I'll leave them in the comment. Look at the app reviews, they're obviously bought reviews and look how recent those apps are! [link] [comments] |
Does Truecaller uploads my contact list to their servers? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:51 AM PDT There were many allegations that Truecaller shares the user's contact info and builds its database. But I see Trucaller's official page saying they don't do that. But many of the truecaller's contact names look like more of a personal pet names and I suspect they still upload user's contacts. Does anyone know any details on this? refer: https://support.truecaller.com/hc/en-us/articles/212638485-How-does-Truecaller-get-its-data- [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jun 2021 03:52 AM PDT Hi guys, Macrorify is a new clicker with the ability to do Image/Text Recognition. Update 1.1.5 brings two more exciting new features Color Detection This let you detect a color on the screen and compare them base on similarity. This is useful to detect object with a solid color because the algorithm for image detection cannot detect solid color at all. To showcase how amazing this new feature is. I use Macrorify to made a macro for a piano tiles game using this Color Detection: Piano Tiles Auto - 8k7 Points Easy You can also see from the video how fast the detection is. At 8k7 you can see that the app can't keep up with the speed anymore. Which means you could have a higher score if your device is better than mine Read Text on the screen This is not the same as text recognition. The old text recognition will recognize a text on screen and let you do something base on its visibility ("if appear do this else do that" kinda thing). But this new feature let you actually read what's actually on the screen and process it. What could this be used for? Well you can read how many HP left and restore with potion if it's below a certain threshold, you can read the how many points you've accumulated and move on to the next activity, or you can read a text or number on the screen and re-enter it back into some text field (auto capcha?) One user on Discord approached me and ask to make a macro for him using the app. It was a very fascinating request. Basically his job require him to drive all the time, the app that he used for his job require him to enter 2 number as a confirmation and he needs to do it quick so it's not good and safe to do that while driving. So I made a macro using Macrorify to read those two number and enter it for him. This app was designed for gaming but look like it extends to be much more than that You can download the app and try it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kok_emm.mobile If you want to try the piano tiles macro, Macrorify also has a built-in macro store where user can upload/download other user's creations. So if you want, you can download the app, go to the store section and just download the macro. It's a one-click solution. Currently there's more than 30+ macros made by the community for games like: King's Raid, FFBE, Arknight, Priconne R, Disgaea, Another Eden, Growtopia, FEH, etc... If you want to make your own macro, rememeber that image/text recognition is way more complex than any other clickers so the learning curve is higher. You can even write code in the app, that speaks a lot. So you might want to check the tutorial I made before jumping in: Macrorify Tutorial Finally, see if you can break my record with the app :) The song is Closer if I remember correctly [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Jun 2021 04:23 AM PDT I'd like to download an app from the play store. Its doesn't ask for any special permissions. But I'm not very tech savvy. Is there a way for me to install it in some sort of a VM for android or be sure that this app isn't doing anything it isn't supposed to? I thought i'd mail the devs but if the app is actually malicious its not like they'd tell me "yes, we're fucking you" So... What's the solution here? [link] [comments] |

[DEV] [SALE] unitMeasure is now down to $0.99 from $1.49 Posted: 01 Jun 2021 03:02 AM PDT unitMeasure the intuitive and powerful unit converter app for Android. Now down to $0.99 from $1.49. To clarify, google forces you to set the price a certain percentage lower than the original sales price (which was $1.49, so I was forced to raise it to $1.99 because google doesn't let you drop the price enough in some countries (due to a minimum set price)... It's backwards... so my intention wasn't meant to mislead anyone, that's just the way google decided to set the rules/regulations within the play console. You might say that you don't need another unit converter, but this one will make your life easier. unitMeasure is an intuitive and ad-free unit converter app. The app contains more than 150 measurements spread over 17 categories. In addition, it works offline and without permissions. Buy it once and get all the features and updates. Privacy
