How to fix my laptop? (Asus X456U) Posted: 04 Jun 2021 08:35 AM PDT I had my laptop when my dad gave it to me around maybe april or may 2020 and the screen is still working, until my little cousin broke the screen and I resolved it in calming manners because it was purposely cracked. Then my Uncle told me that i should try and use the HDMI thing. I did do that and use it for almost a year but one day my when i opened my laptop; the Screen flashing with bright white light(because it was already broken and it has a black marks where it was severely damages) but when i saw the start up light the brightness don't go to a lower light and my monitor still connected and detects the HDMI but it doesn't present the screen on my laptop. I tried everything I can and all of them are useless or didn't do anything at all, when i press enter on the keyboard. It will go and restart. I can't still see what's happening to the screen because its still wasn't replaced. Is there anything I could try to fix this laptop with a broken screen? And what's the problem on that thing when i press enter it goes to something and restart? [link] [comments] |

How To Protect Laptop From Home Wifi Network Worm? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 08:39 AM PDT Hello, I suspect my father may have infected our Home Wifi with a Worm. I just retrieved my laptop from a technician who hard-resetted it so i didn't connect to the home wifi yet. Is there a way or a combination of ways to access the Home Wifi but prevent the potential spreading of the Worm to my Windows laptop? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
BIOS Update and then no wifi, BT and touchpad.. Posted: 04 Jun 2021 12:23 AM PDT I have a Lenovo Yoga C640-13IML laptop. This morning I updated the BIOS into version CHCN25WW (why TF I updated this shite... ) Installation was successful, but now so many things stopped working like WIFI, Bluetooth even my touchpad.. I tried to do system restore (did not work), reinstall driver (also did not work). In the device manager all the devices are hidden and the comment is like: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." Any idea how to solve this? This is Friday and I have an unfinished work :( [link] [comments] |
Headset not detected as a recording device on laptop (Windows 10) Posted: 04 Jun 2021 05:43 AM PDT In my Sound control panel it doesn't show my headset as a recording device, just my laptop's built in microphone. I wanted to disable the laptop mic and have my headset be for recording audio but its not there. I'm using a Dell G3 Laptop and a Nubwo N13 3.5mm headset plugged through the audio jack of the laptop. Help is always appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Changed sata from AHCI to IDE and now BSOD Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:07 PM PDT I can get to Bios and then just tried using the optimized defaults for the motherboard but it still gives me a critical error blue screen and won't boot into Windows 10. I've Googled it but haven't found the exact situation I'm having. [link] [comments] |
ASUS laptop won't turn on & no power/charging lights Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:28 PM PDT I have an ASUS Vivobook s15 which suddenly turned off yesterday while plugged in the charger. I left it on the charger at probably higher than 50% and when I came back, I noticed that the laptop is decharging. It came from 9% to 7% until it showed 0% charging, saying there's 1 hr and 35 mins remaining to full charge. A few mins into this and the laptop turned off unexpectedly, the charging light is no longer on, and I cannot turn on the laptop even through hard reset by pressing the power button for about 40 secs. I don't think though that the charger is the problem because when we tried with a different charger, the laptop still won't turn on. What can I do to fix this? Please help, i badly need the laptop for my online classes :( Thank you. [link] [comments] |
