Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:42 PM PDT Running Android 11 on a Galaxy S10+ When I'm listening to music via YouTube Music (the app, not the website), any media with audio that I play in redditisfun, the text messaging app -or whatever else- automatically pauses YT Music. This would be tolerable if it automatically started playing again when the media in question ends but that doesn't happen. Using DDG, Google, or reddit search for a solution is difficult because -shocker- most results are related to youtube.com and not YouTube Music. TL;DR Is there a way to override the auto-pause feature when using Music streaming apps like YouTube Music? [link] [comments]  |

| Is it possible to access files on an apparently corrupted driver? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:31 PM PDT I have an LG Stylo 5. Today both my phone's camera, and default "gallery" app where it stores pictures and screenshots, randomly stopped working; they just crap out and automatically close when I try using either. Everything else on the phone is working fine, though. Following a bit of trouble-shooting, I've accepted that the next step is to probably to do a factory reset of my phone. Before doing that, I wanted to save content (pictures/screenshots) from my phone's internal storage to an external hard drive. So, I connected my phone to my laptop, which I've done a million times without issue. Except now, I can't even access my phone's storage through my laptop at all. When I go into "Devices and Printers" (Windows), the LG Stylo 5x device shows up as being connected, but again, I can't access any files on the device. When I troubleshooted the device through Windows, all it offers is the wonderfully helpful advice: "There is a problem with the driver for LG Stylo 5x. The driver needs to be reinstalled." Do I just have to do a factory restart and accept that my internal storage content is screwed, or is there some way I might be able to access my phone's storage despite my phone apparently somehow contracting a fatal driver error in the last 24 hours? (Admittedly, it's not the end of the world if my internal storage content is gone forever since most stuff is on my SD Card.... but, still, ugh...) | What is a good phone for photography? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:48 PM PDT I currently have a OnePlus 8T. It's a really speedy phone, but the camera sucks compared to my last phone. My last phone was a Nokia 9 Pureview. I really regret getting rid of it. The camera on that phone was amazing. You couldn't tell the pictures were from a phone. I would just get a camera, but they are so expensive, I might as well get a phone (if it is as good as the Nokia 9). Plus I love phone tech 😁. I looked up if there is a Nokia 9 successor releasing and I haven't found anything sadly... I'm in America, so unfortunately Huawei, Xiaomi, etc is out of the question unless one of them supports most of tmobile's bands by some miracle. I was thinking maybe a Sony Xperia 5/1 III? How is Sony with software updates? Maybe a Pixel 6? Not sure when it's releasing, though and I'd like something this summer.. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]  |

| [Help] My father bought a Rino6 Pro from Walmart Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:50 PM PDT My father was complaining that his phone was always low on storage, so he impulse bought a Rino6 Pro, a cheap $100 phone from Walmart (probably originally from AliExpress). It was advertised as a 512GB, 6GB RAM phone running Android 10. Is there an app I can download for him to check the actual specs of the device? It physically looks like it runs on an old version of Android, maybe Android 4? The UI looked like an old Nexus 7 I had once upon a time. I can't download WeChat for him on this phone because it just won't show up when I search for it in the Play Store. Is there a way to upgrade the Android version if it truly is not Android 10? Soon as Google logo appears it's off a couple seconds later, back to either a black screen or, if plugged in, the battery charge graphic. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:03 PM PDT I have an SD card installed in my phone, but for some reason all of the things I put on it are still counted towards my maximum internal storage. Because of that, I always get these "storage space running out" notifications and I can't download new stuff. I'm currently using a Galaxy S9+. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 03:27 PM PDT Amazon sent me a notification stating "Item will be delivered earlier" and explained that it was going to be delivered at a date that was actually later than it had originally said. That really pissed me off because it reminded me of the chocolate rationing scene in 1984, and I wanted to show my brother, but the notification just says "Item...............will be delivered thursday" and clicking it just takes me to notification settings for Amazon app, and holding it does nothing. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 09:12 PM PDT It's been gone for quite a long time now and I've just had to learn to live without it so I couldn't say when this happened but I never thought to just ask until now. In android, if you drag across the home screen towards the bottom, (but not from the very top) it opens up a Google search bar. It used to provide combined search results, if your query matched the name of apps or files on the device itself, they were the top few results and tapping on any of them would open the app itself or whatever app was relevant to the file that was found. Now it only provides web results. What's up with that? I have a file manager app, but it's searching functions don't work great. The former functionality was fast and by far the best and pretty much only method of searching the device I could rely on. Was this functionality moved somewhere else or something? I got rid of a malware virus recently if that gives any clues. It had a phone number to fix it but I think it's a scam. What do I do and what can i do so this doesn't happen again? | Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:31 PM PDT I have an android as my normal phone and a iphone that I use in my car on roadtrips. My car supports carplay but not android auto. (which truly is the major issue but we deal) and so my road trips I like to use my iphone (which isn't connected to a carrier rn it's just a old one my sister let me use) as my navigation and music. I use my android hotspot for the data but within a day or so of driving the data gets throttled by Verizon (again another major issue). So here's the main question what can I do to either prevent/stop the throttling or get android auto on my car. Either works. If it helps I have a 2020 corolla hybrid and a s10+ idk what iphone it is. | Spotify keeps changing where my music downloads Posted: 03 Jun 2021 02:21 PM PDT In my S20 ultra I have a 256gb SD that I use for pictures and music. For some reason every time I turn off my phone and turn it back on, it'll redownload all of my music onto my phone storage that was on my SD, and it will not let me change to the SD and move my music. The SD works just fine, my photos are on it with no issues. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone find a solution? I have quite a large playlist so keeping it on my phone takes up quite a lot of the internal storage [link] [comments]  |

| Huawei Calendar App On Huawei P9 Crashes Posted: 03 Jun 2021 05:27 PM PDT Hi all, I have a Huawei P9 EVA-L09 since 2017. We have been doing quite good but recently my calendar app stopped responding. I slide down the notification bar, then tap on the date. It used to launch the Huawei Calendar. But now, Huawei Calendar shows a white screen for a millisecond then crashes. If i try launching 20 times, it will crash 20 times. For now, I'm using Google Calendar. I have tried disabling, force stopping and data clearing on the app but none has worked. There are no updates by the way. I have also wiped the partition data. Can anyone help? [link] [comments]  |

I've also did a factory reset. Are there anything else to look for When buying a used android device? I see see the Device Status is "Official" under About / Status. | [Help] Could someone help me successfully root my Redmi Note 10S India (rosemary)? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 03:57 PM PDT Hello, I had to wait for 163 hours to have my bootloader unlocked. After the long wait I successfully did unlock it. However flashing the patched boot img does not end so well. It shows the usual fastboot bunny image first, which is followed by a second screen that has an unlocked lock image at the top, MIUI logo in the middle before going back to the normal fastboot bunny image. I patched the original boot image (from the same fastboot rom that is also on my mobile currently) using the official magisk app. Inside the magisk app I see the following, Installed: N/A A/B: Yes Ramdisk: Yes SAR: Yes What am I missing?
