Since, I upgraded my phone to an A52 5G and the app does not work with android 11, so does anyone know a good alternative to the app? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 29 Apr 2021 05:48 PM PDT Hi all, I'm trying to help my grandma with her Android, but seeing as I've never used an Android before and I'm trying to talk her through everything remotely, we're having some trouble and I was hoping someone could help. She says that every time she opens a message (in the regular Messages app), it saves a draft even if she doesn't type anything. The draft is just blank, so it shows up empty on the list of all her texts with the red "draft" label. Or she types one letter, gets distracted, and the one letter saves as a draft so that that's all she sees when scrolling through her messages. She hates this. She says it's impossible for her to find anything in her messages because all she can see are these weird blank/super short drafts. She wants to just make Messages stop saving drafts entirely. I've done some googling and come up empty. Is there a way to turn off draft auto-saving on the Messages app? Or is there a way to hide drafts so that she has an easier time scanning through her texts? She's missing important reminders from doctors, bills reminders, and messages from family members and is really struggling and I feel awful that I haven't been able to help her. For a long time I assumed that the "Google" app I see getting updated in the Play Store periodically was just like the Google search Toolbar widget. But the updates have come so frequently and the app itself has become so bloated its clear that it's a much more core component of Android. | One Plus 7 Pro Bootloader Unlock Issues Posted: 29 Apr 2021 05:20 PM PDT The facts: -My phone is a T-Mobile One plus 7 Pro, SIM unlocked and in use in Canada. -I have the Android SDK platform tools installed onto my PC. -I use the OEM charging cable and a USB 2.0 port to connect my phone to my PC. -I installed the USB drivers for One Plus on my PC. -USB debugging is on. -Bootloader unlocking is enabled. My problem: When I try and use fasboot commands, it does not recognize my device when it is in its fastboot state. In my device manager, I see the phone as a portable device while it is connected and on the home screen. However, when I enter fastboot, that disappears and all I see is "Android" under "Other devices". This Android has an exclamation mark because it lacks the right drivers. I am unable to find or install any of these. When I try and run "fastboot oem get_unlock_code", all I get is <waiting for device>. [link] [comments]  |

| Problem with photos after taking a picture with camera Posted: 29 Apr 2021 12:42 PM PDT Hi everyone, I hope you're doing fine and hope you can help me with this.. I've been googling for an hour or two to find a solution to this problem.. So I'm going to explain it now. My mom has a Nokia smartphone and she recently updated her OS. Since then, when she takes a picture with her camera it shows in the preview in the right corner below but when we touch it to see it, it previews for a split second and opens Google Photos. Guess what. Only the pictures she has saved before appear on it.. Here are the things I tried: -clear cache -verifiy authorizations -ofcourse the basics, turn off phone (and she has tried multiple times too) -looked into internal storage dcim = no pictures to be seen -unmounted sd card and remounted -I've also tried to download a photo from snapshat and it doesn't appear either I think that's all the things I've done.. I really wish you could help because I mostly don't post problems like these, I usually solve them.. thank you in advance [link] [comments]  |

I have a 2009 Apple Magic bluetooth keyboard (A1314, 2009) that works perfectly well on an iMac from around the same time. All of the keys are synced up correctly, and it has no issues. Today I decided to try using the keyboard with my Android phone (Google Pixel 4a5g), and it is doing something that I am having trouble fixing. None of the number or letter keys do anything when I press them, except for a few letters which produce numbers when pressed. There's a 3×3 key square in the middle of the keyboard which my phone thinks is a numpad type thing, when actually it's letters that are being pressed. The only things that line up properly are the 7, 8, and 9 keys. All of the action keys (brightness, volume, return, arrow keys) all work. Usually I would just assume that the keyboard is incompatible, but during the pairing process I was asked to type in a pin on the keyboard to pair, and I typed it on the usual correct number keys, and that worked. The keyboard is set to the correct keyboard language on my phone. I would really appreciate any help on this issue, as my computer recently stopped working, and I now need to work from my phone. Sometimes it's after 5 or so seconds of re-enabling and sometimes it's a full day. Recently the issue has gotten worse and I can't find any answers since most sane people despise Facebook. My device is a Huawei P10 Lite running EMUI 8.0.0 Edit: I forgot to mention that I can only re-enable the two apps from the Google Play Store, they do not show up in my disabled app list. So my question is if it's even possible and if so is there a specific brand that works best. | Posted: 29 Apr 2021 03:37 AM PDT I've never had a google account on my Android phone (would never do that!) and so far it is merely an annoyance (like how Android 10 deletes a few of your photos when it updates, thinking they are 'in the cloud,' , how if you use a phone that has ever had a google account, it gets nearly bricked when you do a hard reset, how there are nag screens in each version of Android trying to trick you into doing business with google). But this seems serious. It seems impossible to get hold of the .apk file for this program, and some of the documentation suggests it depends unremovably on Google Play Services. The source code is on GitHub but it seems no one has made any builds, and the instructions for making a build seem to involve interacting with the Google Play architecture. So am I right that this means the gov't is going to force people to do business with either Google or Apple, or just don't use airports? [link] [comments]  |

Unfortunately that means I cant see the keyboard to type in my unlock password. Is there another way for me to input the PW, or a way to see where the keys are to type it in? What would be the easiest solution to stop them forever from showing up when the device is pairing? No specification of the phone or OS version, since it actually affects all of them. I tried starting it, but it just shut down. So i charged it, tried to restart.... Then weird text that I don't understand appeared. It was working great last time I used it, but now it just says that it's corrupted somehow? I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
