Survival games that aren't pay to win/pay to progress?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 05:43 PM PDT

I'm mainly looking for a survival game where I can do stuff like forage for materials/equipment and level up my character.

I've looked through the more mainstream titles like State of Survival, etc. but most reviews seem to say that those games are hard to progress in once you reach a wall, which heightens the need for MTX.

The game I liked the most would have to be Day R Survival. I like that there's a story, foraging and crafting and leveling up/character progression, but the game is looking pretty grind heavy.

Ultra Rush is Out (my first game after 3.5 month of dev!)

Help me find this old Android game.

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 09:38 PM PDT

I used to play this way back in 2012-13. There was a spaceship which you had to pass through translucent rectangular hoops. The color of the hoops changed to red if you couldn't pass through them. It was a gyro based game. The color scheme of the game was neon bluish and except the road the surroundings were void. The levels were pre defined and not procedurally generated. At the end of a level you were given the score as a percentage. The size of the game was around 5-6 mb. It was not by a major studio or anything. I believe it was removed from the play store later on. The icon, iirc, had the blue spaceship. Also, it had only one tune which played on all the levels.

Looking for a "collect them all" puzzler with leveling up/skill system

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 02:54 PM PDT

Games I've loved: Crash Fever, Dungeon Link (rip), Disney Emoji Blitz, Clockmaker

Is there anything in the realm like the games I've loved above? I really enjoy games that are semi-gacha but still allow players to collect characters rewarding them for their play time and have timed events to collect event-specific rewards.

I've tried a bunch of RPG puzzlers like Puzzle Quest, P&D, or 1000000 but could never really get into them; they all felt too slow or the graphics just weren't my cup of tea (I enjoy the anime stuff more)

    Looking forward to any recommendations!

Are there any games like Mini Metro?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 02:43 PM PDT

Mini Metro will never leave my phone but just curious is there anything similar. It doesn't have to be metro related but something with this minimal, zen approach and dedicated developers. It can be premium definitely. Thank you.

Similar, paid, side scroller hack n slash/rpg games similar to ArcaneSoul?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 06:11 PM PDT

    Hello,

I'm on the hunt for new games. Before we had Magia Charma Saga and Dragon Spear, but both of them are now pc only.

So, I'm looking for this kind of 2D/2.5D, side scrolling hack n slash, with rpg elements (level up with exp, equipment...), similar to Dungeon Fighter Online. I already know about Grimvalor, Implosion, Maplestory M, Arcane Quest Legends, Wayward Souls, Dawn Break...

    Is there anything similar?

    Thanks in advance!

Is there a game like Sims but set in the past like medieval times?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 12:56 PM PDT

Something like Sims but set in a different time period of the past. Where you get to build and customize your land or town or castle and stuff like that?

Why am I having trouble finding games that are anything like the Oregon Trail?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 05:53 AM PDT

That traveling game about zombies doesn't count. I want a game where I traveled to a frontier in the olden days.

Developing an app for Mobile Gamers - will you help?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2021 12:53 PM PDT

    Hello world!

    I'm looking for volunteers :)

We've been playing mobile games together with my brother (developer, me - aspiring UX), and felt there is something missing - an app dedicated to MOBILE GAMERS specially.

    What do you think?

Well, I don't want to spread the details at this stage, as we're still developing the idea and... we need feedback from fellow gamers!

If your up for 20 minutes talk (zoom or something, no camera) to help us make something we'd all use, comment below or PM me!

There's also a survey that you could just fill in - I can share it with you too... but it's rather something for a chat ;)
