Posted: 01 Mar 2021 12:16 PM PST I just updated to beta 3, and ever since then the sound is different for warp charge. Is it just me or did they change the sound and I just now noticed? [link] [comments]
Another OnePlus 8 price drop maybeee? Posted: 01 Mar 2021 06:36 PM PST Hey gang so the OP8 is currently $499usd on their website which is dumb cheap as it is. With this "big announcement" on the 8th possibly being about the 9 I'm wondering if I should maybe wait a few days to see if it would drop lower? I'm not familiar with their price history in other models so just curious. My current Razer Phone 2 is slowly starting to eat dogshit and I know what 120hz does to a battery from experience so 90hz is fine with me (before anyone points that out). Thanks! Posted: 01 Mar 2021 05:47 PM PST For some reason, my oneplus 8t's camera is working weirdly (I'm guessing it's to do with the white balance but idk much). I was taking a photo, one is without tap to focus and one is with tap to focus. This has happened more than once and usually on landscape photos and once with a human subject(started looking like a smurf). Is it something I'm doing wrong or something's up with the phone? My Experience with the OnePlus 7 Pro Posted: 28 Feb 2021 11:33 PM PST Hello everyone. I bought my OP7 Pro from OnePlus around July last year, it was between the OP7 Pro or a heavily discounted Pixel 4 XL. Being a long time OnePlus customer and fan, I decided to stick with the OnePlus ecosystem. The device is beautiful, as is the screen and the sense of security not having a camera pointed at my face everytime I use my phone. However the user experience and the device itself has been nothing short of a nightmare. The first couple weeks were fine, however random crashes here and there started occuring. Then random reboots, where I had no opportunity of saving files started happening. These reboots started to increase to the point where I started going into panic whenever I had something important to do in my device. It is not normal behavior, my OnePlus One and 3T never had any problems, and I actually used OxygenOS on those, as well as custom roms. This OP 7 Pro? I never even activated developer tools on it. I feel the need to mention I don't tend to do much in my phone, mostly usage consisting of light social media, Youtube, in the last month some light clash of clans and the occassional important email, call, or calendar appointment. Then it got to the point where I'd be stuck with constant reboot loops, sudden crashes of apps and unresponsive display, apps. The phone would reboot, I'd have to wait, go past lockscreen and then it would reboot inmediately after. Before you suggest a rogue app, I have used the phone in safe mode, and it still reboots or crashes, heck, OnePlus Launcher crashes in safe mode. It's gotten to the point that I just straight up feel anxiety everytime I have the need to use my phone for anything out of fear that it will go into a loop, I'll waste time fixing it. At those moments I go to recovery, clean cache and reboot, yet it's more of a coin toss because it doesn't always work and it will still bootloop. I haven't rooted, haven't unlocked, haven't changed recovery or done anything of that matter. I have factory reset multiple times, and it still happens. I contacted warranty claim and support, they took my phone in, a week later the phone was back and it worked, for a couple of hours. The device rebooted, my heart sank and I was brought to the verge of tears. Then the device started working and it went on for a couple days, until the bootloops started happening again. Chrome would crash during browsing, messages wouldn't be sent, and now the worst part? I can't open the Play store. I open the app and it will just crash, no amount of rebooting, cleaning cache, clearing data, or force stopping it will allow it to open. This rant is right now longer than the one I had written first because I started writing the post and it just crashed, bootlooped and I am so pissed off I just turned on my pc to write this. I am at a loss, as I was told by OnePlus my device was fixed and the problem would not arise again. They did not mention what they did to the device whatsover though. I have been tempted to install a Custom Rom to see if the issue is OxygenOS itself, but I don't want to mess with the device because I am afraid OnePlus will use it as an excuse to justify the devices' issues. Is this happening to someone else? What do you guys suggest? At this point the phone was a large investment, as I tend to keep my phones for a long time. I wanted to sell the phone for a while because it is in prestine condition, but I feel like way too much of a douche to just pass my problems to some guy or gal in Swappa or eBay who expected the device to just work with no issues. Sorry for the long rant. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Mar 2021 03:40 PM PST OnePlus 7T Pro user. Recently updated my device to the above, and the previous WiFi connectivity issue is still recurring. I know it's beta but come on, sort this out!!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Mar 2021 09:39 AM PST I got the 8T after 3 years with the 5T. The thing is, I can't install Amazon app from the play store!! The app is downloaded and stops at the installation phase providing an error "can't install Amazon etc...." Anyone has this problem before? Many thanks. [link] [comments]
Issue with call audio on Oneplus 8T Posted: 01 Mar 2021 11:41 AM PST I've been having an issue with my call audio since I've gotten my oneplus 8t. I had a oneplus 6 before and did not have this problem at all. I usually call with google hangouts and experience this issue on it, but I've tested and have the same problem with discord and just a normal phone call. After I've used my bluetooth headphones (oneplus pods) or have turned my phone off, whenever I'm in a call I can only hear the person I'm calling if they make a certain amount of noise. I don't hear the background noise that I should be hearing. I've noticed that this issue only occurs when using my speakers. If I switch it off the speaker I can hear fine out of the speaker on the top of the phone and if I reconnected my oneplus pods I can hear fine but as soon as I put my speakers on it doesn't work right. This issue will last hours-days after I've used my headphones and randomly switch back to normal eventually. It's quite annoying and makes me avoid using my oneplus pods whenever I can. How can I prevent this from happening/fix it once it does?? [link] [comments]
Just checking in to see if anyone has gotten call recording working on any of the Nord series. Posted: 01 Mar 2021 01:40 PM PST As I recall, call recording could be enabled via ADB on all the previous OnePlus models. However the Nord and Nord N10 5G use the Google Phone app and therefore there is no native call recording. Has anyone found a solution for native system recording (not ACR Cube or other workaround apps)? [link] [comments]
Why are some of my pictures deleted on my 7 Pro? Posted: 01 Mar 2021 01:05 PM PST I've noticed that for some reason Gallery updated a few days ago. I then noticed that some of my pictures are no longer there. Videos and pictures that I've took/saved. I've checked recently deleted and they're not there. Storage Manager has always been off. OnePlus 7t and 7 Pro go crazy in Santa Barbara. Posted: 01 Mar 2021 09:13 AM PST I have a 7t and my wife has a 7 Pro. Whenever we visit Santa Barbara our phones go berserk. GPS says looking for a signal intermittently. We'll be driving and GPS will just lock up. This happens even if I have offline maps downloaded in Google. Same thing happens with Waze. Phone calls cannot be completed even when there is a strong signal. I replaced my sim card ( only using one in slot one) and that didn't help. When I go to "SIM & Network settings" I see the settings go from white/active to gray/inactive. Aside from GPS and phone calls not working it seems I have issues with other apps as well. For example, my audiobook player, which is an offline player (smart audiobook player) would stutter. Other apps simply crash. What makes it weird is that this only happens in Santa Barbara. I use my phone 8 hours daily and don't experience any of these problems. I go to Santa Barbara and it literally becomes unusable. I leave Santa Barbara and it goes back to normal. My carrier is ATT. I've done my Google research and search OnePlus support and haven't found anything. The same thing happens to my wife's phone. OnePlus support told me to get a new SIM card, but I did that and it didn't help. Last time I went I took my old Galaxy S7 (no sim) and the GPS worked just fine in the areas that the S7 didn't. There are no tall buildings to cause interference and this happens in areas where my phone shows 5 bars. Anyone seen it heard of this behavior before? Any ideas what's going on or how to fix it? The phone is perfect and reliable in every other condition and doesn't behave like this anywhere else. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Mar 2021 04:12 AM PST In the US the 8T is BOGO50%, my friend and I are looking at them. What are the chances of a better deal on March 9 after the OP9 announcement? [link] [comments]
Is Fnatic Mode gone? Pro Gaming mode. Posted: 01 Mar 2021 08:46 AM PST Just updated my OP7 Pro to the third beta for Android 11 and THIS is how the fnatic mode it's currently called. [link] [comments]
Is really worth it buying a OnePlus 8T over an iPhone 11? Posted: 01 Mar 2021 02:28 AM PST In now changing my phone and I'm thinking about buying either the OnePlus 8t with 12gb or the iPhone 11. I had an OnePlus 7 before that worked really good except for a few annoying bugs like notifications not disappearing automatically or images not appearing in the gallery after downloading them. I know the OnePlus 8t eats alive the iPhone 11 in term of specs, but at a user experience level, I'm fearing that the one plus 8t has again that little bugs, having in consideration all the post in this subreddit talking about how people are having problems. Posted: 01 Mar 2021 10:22 AM PST If I'm understanding this correctly, Oneplus phones need a "CDMA-Less" parameter to work properly on Verizon because they apparently don't work on Verizon's CDMA 3G network. But the Oneplus 8 supports CDMA bands BC0 and BC1, which are the ones Verizon's 3G network uses. So why doesnt the phone work on Verizon's 3G? Am I missing something here? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Mar 2021 04:01 AM PST This morning, I updated my OnePlus 7T to the 3rd Open Beta of Android 11/ OOS 11. It's basically been the same other than the addition of Always On Display, but I have found an annoying bug: the camera app sometimes doesn't show anything. And when it does, it does it for a while but after zooming or taking a picture it glitches and I have to wait for a while or reboot the phone. Has anyone else experienced it or even found a solution? Small edit: it seems to happen mostly when zooming out to the ultrawide lens. [link] [comments] |
