Why I can't boot from a USB stick with Windows even with the BIOS settings are okay? Posted: 01 Feb 2021 10:59 AM PST I set a USB stick with Windows Instalation Tools, and configured the UEFI BIOS to boot first from USB, but its not working, it keeps restarting itself without showing nothing on screen. CSM enabled with boot from devices with boot functions (UEFI) and fast boot option disabled. The USB is detected and in the first option for boot. And the motherboard is Asus P8B75-M. I need help changing the settings on my hospitality Samsung tv. Posted: 01 Feb 2021 01:42 PM PST I got this from a hotel that was closing down and it doesn't have a remote. Want to connect my Nintendo 64 up to it but I can't find the manual buttons ANYWHERE. I tried looking at other Reddit posts but they all used a different models, and I tried to look up IR apps but I don't even know if my iPhone 7 Plus can even do that. Is there anything I'm missing? The model is hg40ne478sf. [link] [comments]
I need help getting more space on my laptop! Posted: 01 Feb 2021 05:26 AM PST My laptop originally came with 29.1 gigabytes (more than half of which was taken up by important Windows 10 files), and now the usable space went down from 13 GB to around 2 GB, and sometimes 5 - 8 GB if I'm lucky. In fact, my hard drive space is slowly being eaten up by something, but I have no idea what! [link] [comments]

Can't access to the BIOS on my desktop pc. Posted: 01 Feb 2021 04:22 AM PST I can't configure the desktop to boot first with the external device, I don't know why I can't access to BIOS when the system is booting, I tried all keys for an Asus motherboard with no result. And if I tried access from windows options (https://www.asus.com/es/support/FAQ/1013015/) the UEFI Firmware Setting thing don't show. I read that not all motherboard let access to the BIOS, so I assume that's my case. Or maybe is the battery. Will appreciate a bit of help. [link] [comments]

Having trouble encrypting external hard drive (Break it down Barney style please) Posted: 31 Jan 2021 05:28 PM PST I did a Google search and got confused. Sub post search as well, but things didn't seem entirely the same, so I'm asking now... Trying to password protect an external hard drive. (Break it down Barney style for me please) Bought an external hard drive a while ago and never did anything with it. Now uploaded all my pictures and documents and have been trying to improve my computer/internet privacy lately, so I would like to encrypt the external hard drive in case it gets lost or stolen. I have a brand new laptop - Dell Inspiron 7405. I understand BitLocker is included on every Windows computer, but when I went to Control Panel, it didn't really show anything. It said encryption is already set up, which I think means the fingerprint sensor (?). But my external hard drive is D: and it's not showing up at all on the control panel. Can anyone help with this? Please speak caveman as I am not good with computer technology. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
