Where can I buy microSD cards online that aren't fakes? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 02:41 PM PST So I was looking on Amazon to buy a microSD card for my phone and a lot of the reviews from Samsung, Sandisk, etc. say they're fake cards or don't hold the storage they claim, etc. Does anyone know of a place online that won't sell me some knockoff cards? I've even seen this on Walmart's website as well. I just don't want to get ripped off... ☹ Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2021 08:49 PM PST I often ask assistant a question. And it will give me a single result. Without giving me the option to open up the inquiry in chrome so I can scroll though a list of sites that will answer my question. Its like it's only set to 'I'm feeling lucky' which. As we know. Nobody liked or wanted. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:37 PM PST I have just made the transition from an Iphone to Android, but the bloatware are so annoying and I found something on the internet called ADB installer to remove these bloatwares, is anyone familiar with it and is does it do any harm to the phone? Opening newer .APK file causes app to open, not update. Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:28 PM PST I'm using off-play store app. [link] [comments] |
Did i get screwed over or wat do?! Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:27 PM PST Idk if this is where i would post this buuuuut..... Ok so i just bought a Motorola One Hyper today which is CDMA (from what I've read said that MEID is CDMA) and im on straight talk which runs off verizon towers in my area (or i would assume so) anywho, the phone is unlocked (bought from walmart) but whenever i pop my sim in from a phone that uses both MEID and IMEI, it reads the sim but no service? I've also tried with a Verizon sim, reads it but no sim.. Paid lil more than $400 smackaroos for this lil baddie... But doesn't wanna work on these Sims.. Did i get screwed or am I just a lil dramatic about this? TL;DR: Motorola (CDMA) (unlocked) won't accept sim. Wat do? Return? [link] [comments] |
Any solution for "Video On" battery leak on GSam? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:18 PM PST Hello everyone, I have read a lot of posts from Reddit and many other forums, but I haven't been able to find a proper solution for "Video On" issue on Gsam battery monitor. The only working workaround is to reboot the phone until it happens again Force closing, closing the app from recent app list, clearing cache partition, stopping android webview, disabling some permission or limiting the app from running in the background,... nothing seems to work Please, if anyone has a proper solution for this issue, would you mind sharing it? Many thanks [link] [comments] |

Trying to install TWRP on Pixel XL, trying to boot into recovery just goes straight to system Posted: 01 Jan 2021 08:35 PM PST Essentially the title. I've tried installing it the way it says on the website, and when I boot into recovery mode, it just boots straight into the regular Android system. Is there some way to fix this issue? Is there any way to bypass "battery too low to use flash"? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:24 AM PST Title, whenever I try to use flash with 15% battery or lower I get "battery too low to use flash" This is so stupid. Even at 15% flash doesn't use much power at all. If the only way to bypass it is to root then I'll root my phone Reposting because I asked this a month ago and got no response. [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to force Google Photos or Samsung Gallery to show photos from one specific folder? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 07:26 PM PST Hey, Why gallery apps show all media files from the phone storage? It's just bazaar how it's all mixed up - photos I've taken, photos I've received via DMs, downloaded media files, covers of audiobooks or video tutorials transfered to SD card. I use Samsung Gallery as default but noticed same situation with Google Photos. Sometimes I hand my phone to someone to show my photos. I don't want them to see some random shit i got from somebody if they scroll too far. Well, even I don't want to see them every time I go through my whole gallery. Any app suggestions or ideas how to hide files from gallery apps (to keep them, but in a way that there are not visible)? [link] [comments] |
CNN notifications not showing on my PC or watch Posted: 01 Jan 2021 07:21 PM PST Hey guys, if I could I'd like to post a screenshot. My CNN notifications show up on my lockscreen as non transparent. While all other notifications are different. Other than that, they don't show any info when popping up on my PC or watch. So far, I've reinstalled the app and cleared cache. No setting inside is different from other apps, so I don't know what to change to fix this. [link] [comments] |
Could not connect to the Google play store. Posted: 01 Jan 2021 06:56 PM PST I keep getting this error message that says "could not connect to Google play store." even though I'll be reading something online or even now when I opened up reddit. I'm on my wifi, my internet connection is fine, and the play store isn't even open so I don't understand why this error pops up so often. It will sometimes come up for minutes and then will go away on its own. I have the galaxy s9 if that helps. Ive tried to Google this issue, but all I get are issues with the play store and not this specific issue. Anybody know why this happens and how to make it stop? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2021 06:05 PM PST I have a 4a and I honestly hardly use Chrome yet it's foreground usage takes up 14% of my battery. Does anyone know why it's such a battery drain? Know how to solve it or know a battery efficient alternative? [link] [comments] |
No sound from top speaker on phone calls Posted: 01 Jan 2021 05:40 PM PST On my Pixel 5, I can't hear phone calls unless I'm on bluetooth mic or speakerphone. The problem will sometime go away for a little bit if I clear phone app cache or do a factory reset, so it does not look like a hardware issue. Has anyone seen this issue before [link] [comments] |

Have an old Samsung Tab S 10.5 LTE - what can I do with it? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 04:12 PM PST I've got an old Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE (SM-T807V) that I'm interested in using. Are there any good custom ROMs I can install on it or any other way to make it snappier? It's currently running Android 5 and is pretty slow, but is still otherwise fully functional. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How do I disable google's amp feature on Firefox for Android? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:48 PM PST I noticed that on firefox I am now getting every site I click on the search page through amp. This does screw up the app associations I have so firefox cannot send the link to the propper app. Also this is just not playing nice, having to access everything through google. Just doesn't sit well with me. My device is more than capable to handle loading of a web page. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 8T or Samsung Galaxy S20 FE? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:36 PM PST I'm struggling to decide between the two. Is the One UI 3.0 usable? Is it better than the Oxygen OS 11 ? Is it true that S20 FE will get more software upgrades than the 8T? Can we uninstall the bloatware on S20 FE? Which one is more safe and secure? [link] [comments] |
How to make videos always start from the beginning on Samsung video player? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:26 PM PST I guess this is more of a galaxy question, but a lot of times a video in my gallery will play from the part I was on the last time I opened it, and it's super annoying. Anyone know how to make it always play from the begging? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2021 11:34 AM PST And if there is no way to do it without an outside app, which app do u recommend highly? Any response is much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How can I get an app notification to play no matter what? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 11:24 AM PST The short summary is that I'm wondering if there's a way to make a particular app on a Pixel 3 XL on Android 11 make noise for notifications no matter what (ignore any kind of DnD, anything). The long summary is my dad has Parkinson's and needs to take his meds consistently throughout the day, as close to on time as possible, to remain safe and functionl. I'm an iPhone user so I'm out of my depth, but we're currently using the "Medisafe" app for med reminders (and so it notifies me when he misses doses), which works fine until it stops making noise. I came over today to find it not making sound because it was on Do Not Disturb. In the DnD settings under "what can interrupt do not disturb" the Medisafe app is listed as allowing "All notifications". My assumption was that that would still allow notifications through, but maybe I'm mistaken? My solution might not be correct, but basically my overarching goal here is that I want the loudest, most annoying notification sound I can get, that can't be accidentally turned off (he's not sure if he turns DnD on and off, and with the shaking it's possible he does it accidentally). He doesn't leave the house so I'm not worried about disturbing anyone, and falling behind on meds means he's not functional and might lose his independence. I want them annoying, as insistent as possible, and I don't want it to give up until somebody acknowledges it. We're working on solutions that don't require his phone, but he always has his phone on him so I'm hoping to start here. Please feel free to answer as if I have no idea what I'm doing, because I feel lost in the settings menu with all the options and I don't know how to use his phone. Ideally I'd like to avoid any jailbreaking or anything that would dramatically alter how his phone works unless I'm desperate. And also if anybody has any recommendations for helping make an Android phone more accessible for someone with Parkinson's (shaking means things can be hard to tap accurately) I would love to hear it - I want him to have good quality of life for as long as possible, and being able to use his phone seems to help him cope with not being able to do much anymore. Also thank you for listening, this is 85% technical help and 15% therapy post. [link] [comments] |
