| Contrary to popular opinion on this sub, my experience with OnePlus has been great! Posted: 29 Jan 2021 01:05 AM PST It's been 1.5+ years using the OnePlus 7 Pro, my first OnePlus phone. My phone history has been pretty diverse: Sony Ericsson T68i > Nokia N70 > Palm Pre > iPhone 4s > HTC One (M7) > Lumia Icon (929) > iPhone 6s Plus > Pixel 2 XL > OnePlus 7 Pro. Out of all the phones, this is the one whose performance hasn't deteriorated a single bit over the course of ownership, even though mine is the 6GB RAM variant. The only performance related problem with this device is the opening of Shelf with the new Launcher update but that is still pretty minor. It's display can still hang amongst the best available today, and the design is still towards the top. It's a shame OnePlus didn't stick with Pop up camera and tried to make it better, potentially reduce the size of the mechanism. Camera is definitely not the strongest point of this phone but is far from being bad. It probably isn't as good the S10/Note10 or the iPhones but then this phone didn't cost as much as them. Only issues I have had with this is that the proximity sensor doesn't work as well as it should, speakers are unbalanced (bottom firing speaker is considerably louder than the earpiece) and the software support has been disappointing. | One Plus 9 price estimations? (Ireland) Posted: 29 Jan 2021 02:23 PM PST Currently have a 5T, will be 4 years with me in December. Looking at upgrading as I'm finding this phone is slowly going on me, and I'm a lot more invested in photography now so was considering getting the 8T (8 Pro would be ideal but for the extra €200 price I couldn't justify it). Was reading a few suggestion posts of others looking to by the 8T/Pro and a lot of comments saying to hold out and wait for the OP9. The price estimations for these phones seems even wildly below what the 8 Pro currently is, even when converted from dollars/pounds to euro. I will be able to get the 8T for €550 with my trade in and was just wondering am I better off just holding off for the 9 if the estimated prices are accurate? Or what's everyones opinion on how accurate these estimations are? I just find it hard to believe that brand new it will be cheaper than the 8 Pro, and I'm not desperately in need of a new one so it's a case that I could just wait. Help!!!! Also side note, does anyone have any idea when the 8T in the larger storage option might restock in Ireland? Long and probably confusing questions, but thank you!! [link] [comments]  |
| How do I put a second SIM in my N10? Posted: 29 Jan 2021 03:33 PM PST Ok, I just got a Nord N10 5G from OnePlus.com, and am attempting to migrate from my 7 Pro to this. My 7 Pro has two distinct SIM slots on the SIM tray, but on the N10, the tray only appears to have one SIM slot, and also a MicroSD slot. I'm not able to get my second SIM to stay on the tray regardless how I position it, and there isn't a second SIM tray as far as I can tell. I'm having trouble finding anything online about this, so I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong and someone here might have some advice. [link] [comments]  |

It pops up alright but it's just a black screen when it does pop up. | Old Easter Egg on Nord ( Android 10) Posted: 29 Jan 2021 11:06 AM PST I recently got a OnePlus Nord ( my first OP ) and it's been a great experience so far ( coming from a four year old Xiaomi Redmi 4x ), however, I noticed that the easter egg for the current Android 10 version is not quite right. After forming the letter "Q" and tapping multiple time on the "Android" text, I get the Android 9 drawing game instead of the expected nanogram puzzle. Can someone confirm if this issue is present on any other devices or is it just me? Also, is there some explanation as to why this is happening? tl;dr: Android 10 easter egg actually shows old Pie easter egg (drawing game), any idea why? [link] [comments]  |

| Oneplus could be the iPhone in the Android world. Posted: 29 Jan 2021 02:46 AM PST ...but they are not. At least not as much as possible. For example the experience of Oxygen OS is different on different devices. On OP8T there is no phone or messages app by Oneplus. These are the ones from Google. But this is not the case on a OP8 Pro. The feeling is not consistent, not trasparent and not easy to follow among devices. Without these two apps for example the 65-35% reachability thing is not even a thing anymore because there are just a few apps designed by OP people actually use. Another example it that they don't provide enough information about what features are available on which phones and from when. I mean it's not clear. Why is the OP8 Pro at an older OS version than the 8T? They make too many different phones and with devices like Nord N series it's not obvious to exactly know what OP is offering. At least I don't see the N series as an option at all. It's like it didn't even exist. These are some instances I can think of right now. Do you agree, can you say more? What do you think? Posted: 29 Jan 2021 10:16 AM PST It seems to charge my phone just fine, but I can't transfer files or even get the menu to pop up. I have to go to settings and search "USB Preferences" to get this menu to pop up. I downloaded the USB drivers from here and it still doesn't work. | Posted: 29 Jan 2021 10:15 AM PST I've had my oneplus 6 for a couple years now, I love it for the most part, EXCEPT that out of no where about 6 months ago, my alarm clock just doesn't work properly. It rarely goes off for the time I set it to. It'll show as a missed alarm, or it'll go off 5 to 10 minutes later than I set it for. It's annoying and I've accepted using an alarm app. I just find it funny one of the most simple functions sucks so bad. [link] [comments]  |

Usually I have to turn airplane mode on or off to get it to switch to data. When I got my phone, I knew about this, but I heard that there would be a patch coming soon, but I've yet to receive any and this is getting pretty annoying. Does anyone have a fix for this? The other day i was snapchatting with friends and suddenly screen froze and became glitched (colorful lines etc) After that when ever i would use the front cam it would just freeze. Face lock thing doesnt work at all and when i open the front camera in the camera app it crashes or shows a frame from the front camera and then crashes. Every third party app that uses the front camera does the same. Snapchat and gcam dont crash but they lag until you switch the camera. Help would be nice! Running 10.0.10 GM21BA with magisk!
