They should still give out another update before jumping ship to android 11 based open betas probably. P.S. : the only priorities are security updates. I couldn't care less for newer Android versions as they don't add much value these days. If my phone's not secure and certain workplace apps don't work as they are intended to, then I certainly made a wrong choice with OnePlus. [link] [comments]  | ||

Finally they accepted to wait until they have 8 Pro in stock to send me one. I thought I was good, oh boy... They emailed me that they still don't have 8 Pro in stock and don't know when they will. I mean they are supposed to be OnePlus and they don't know that... I said that the Onyx Black variant was out of stock indeed but not the Glacial Green variant and asked if they could send me one. They said that they have no 8 Pro variant in stock where they are but that I could order another 8 Pro from their website and they would refund me ahah. What a joke, they want me to advance them 900€ because their support is so crappy they can't directly order it themselves. They want me to "trust" after what happened and give them 900 more euros. It's hilarious. I was nice with them but I'm not anymore, now I want a callback from a sales manager and speak with him directly. I currently own a 5T and I've been meaning to upgrade it, and I just found a new 7T Pro McLaren Edition with a 40% discount (from 1.1K USD to 700 USD), plus I can pay for it on fixed monthly payments up to 12 months! Is it worth it, right now? Are there any better options? I love how it looks, the no-notch screen, its specs, and the price is really really the lowest it's ever been, at least here in Mexico. That price tag of $700 USD or $14,000 MXN is really what I'd be able to spend right now, maybe a hundred dollars more. And just for reference: Same store has the 8 Pro for $1250 USD, 8T for $1000 USD, Nord 256GB 12GB RAM for $750 and the regular 7T Pro for $850. I've seen the 8 Pro for $1000 USD on Amazon MX, but not from a reputable seller. I'd really appreciate any useful insight on this purchase and the phone itself. Posted: 02 Jan 2021 12:28 PM PST I've noticed occasionally when watching full screen videos (like pinch to zoom on YouTube) at the top where the notification bar usually is has a slight grey tint to it, no icon imprints like my S7 with burn-in, just the grey bar, it happened last night when I was watching videos but I just went to reproduce it and it's not there. Is this image retention or burn in? Or maybe just a glitch with youtube? I haven't noticed it in full screen games but I probably wouldn't have noticed it regularly watching videos either, I was just appreciating the screen and bezels when I saw that the top little bit was darker, but it was also a full white screen at that time too so it was easier to notice. Colours are really dark whenever i watch videos via Netflix or Prime. It's not like the screen is dark in general, it's just that movie scenes have more of those "dark areas" , like a shadow that covers the screen.. Oneplus 8 in Croatian markets is exactly 550 dollars. Is oneplus 8 worth 160 dollars more? My budget for a phone is exactly 550 dollars so I cant buy oneplus 8t or 8 pro. One plus 7 pro and 8 seem like the best option within my budget. I live in Croatia so I dont have few phones that could compete with them (excluding Xiaomi). Posted: 02 Jan 2021 10:06 AM PST So today I opened up a new pair of JBL wireless earphones, expecting some crazy audio coming out of it. But unfortunately, I couldn't even find the earphones on the list of devices I could pair with. I did everything, restart both phone and earphones, clear cache etc. but nothing. To add to this, the earphones connected to an iPhone, a Samsung but not my older OnePlus phones(5 and 3T). Clearly it's a OnePlus thing... Maybe they have some kind of beef between them? Pictures aren't mirrored. Tried it with another OP Nord - same issue. I don't do selfies often...but when I do...I want them flipped for shit's sake. I can connect both ear buds separately, so I can only listen to music out of one of them at a time. Does anyone know how to get them to both connect at the same time?
