Posted: 31 Jan 2021 03:22 AM PST My drivers, chipsets, displays are all updated, I've done what I believe to be every step on every online forum topic, I just don't know what to do and was wondering if anyone could help or has had experience with this. This is my first laptop. Included is a screenshot of the graphical glitch while I was typing this post even! Basically after not moving he mouse for a few seconds, that glitchy fuzzy display issue appears all over the bars, display, and I have to scroll up or down and move the mouse over the affected area to get it to disappear. SO far at least it hasn't affected the functionality of Windows, but I fear it will get worse and besides, this is a brand new out of the box laptop from a reputable company from Newegg, not refurbished so I assumed someone knew what this was. Thank you guys so much whoever reads this even if you don't know what the issue is, and for taking the time out of your day to help someone. Unsung heroes for people like me who know the basics of operating a Windows 10 computer but still have more to learn. *included is my DXDIAG for specs ** here is a link to my exact laptop, from newegg Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19042) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Posted: 31 Jan 2021 07:03 AM PST Specs: I5 1.6 6 gigs ram 500? Gig hard drive Recently updated to Windows 10 I belive my hard drive is failing. My laptop is running extremely slow. The lap top has now crashed twice unexpectedly. My disc drive is constantly running at 100%. I was advised (by friends) the hard drive is probably failing. Id like to chsnge out the drive- I have pictures and documents I would like to save. What do I need to change out the hard drive and get everything back up and running? I am looking st a 1TB SSD from my local Bestbuy- I have an old USB 3.0 to Sata 2.5 transfer (Sabrent- I dont recall why I got this). What else do I need? How do I recover my windows environment? I never got a disc. Tldr- failing hard drive and want to change to a SSD need to transfer all old stuff over including operstinf system. How can this caveman do it. [link] [comments] |

(Windows 10) ESC, Function keys and left arrow are not working and I've tried quite a lot of things. Posted: 30 Jan 2021 04:54 PM PST 3 or so days ago my ESC, function keys stopped working, then the next day as I was watching youtube and pressing the left arrow key to rewind it wouldn't stop rewinding and kept having a left arrow input, I reset my computer and it stopped but the left arrow key now completely doesn't work at all. Something of note is that about 5 or 6 days ago I had spilled a water bottle over my keyboard with maybe about 100ml going on it and it slipped on the right half of the keyboard. I looked up a bunch of other posts and followed those steps, I've updated my windows 10 and keyboard drivers and it still doesn't work. Is my keyboard just broken from that water? It is three years old and gets used on a daily basis and I've definitely have dropped liquid on it a couple other times in that period but not too much. Thanks [link] [comments] |
