Posted: 30 Dec 2020 10:13 PM PST I feel Xiaomi is becoming increasingly nefarious ,I own a redmi k20 pro or mi 9t pro (an amazing phone for a normal user ,it would last for years for the price tag ) and it was all good until MIUI 12.0.1 ,I started losing battery power , considering the time frame it was launched exactly after 1 year it started losing its amazing battery life which used to be 7 -8 hours a day , now it's less than 5 hours .I think they are trying to push new phones by force updating with these kinda versions to make the older phones go obsolete . What do you all think , could it be true .? [link] [comments]

Who else is still using the original Mi A1 and loving it? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 08:01 PM PST Seriously the best phone I've ever purchased, despite one minor problem that was fixed by a reset shortly after purchase it's worked amazingly for years. I've even accidentally dropped it numerous times onto hard surfaces and there is still no cracks or even visible scratches. The only downside I feel is that the camera is significantly worse than other flagship phones, however as I don't even use the camera, I have no need to upgrade. [link] [comments]
MIUI 12 ANDROID 11 Whatsapp/Messenger problems? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 03:16 PM PST After updating earlier today to MIUI 12, Android 11 I started to have weird visual bugs with Whatsapp. Sometimes instead of a circle-profile-image notification, I will get the square image and the whole notification looks weird. As for Messenger, floating notifications are not working at all most of the time, and when they do the same problem - my "bubbles" become square-heads. Does anyone have the same problem? Any solutions? [link] [comments]

Poco x3 bad gaming experience. Posted: 30 Dec 2020 09:41 PM PST It seems to run games slower than my redmi note 9s despite having a "better" chipset. Anyone have this problem? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Dec 2020 09:08 PM PST I have a redmi note 8 pro, I was listening to music in my car through Bluetooth with my phone and suddenly the screen turned off but the music kept playing, when I saw that it was hanging I kept the off button so that it will turn off and now it doesn't turn on. It does not enter fastboot or recovery mode, no logo or anything appears, and the led when I connect it to the charger turns on static and if I hold the power button for about 15 seconds the led turns off and back on but does nothing else, when I connect it to the PC, the PC detects it as mediatek com usb but I cannot access the storage because it does not appear on my computer. Clarify that I have not updated to the latest MIUI 12.0.3 update, I'm still on 12.0.2, thanks [link] [comments]

With their success in Europe, why does Xiaomi not make phones with US bands? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 09:05 AM PST It's obvious that the Mi 11 is one of the best phones in the world, so why are they ignoring the North American market? Travelling in europe, it felt like every second phone I saw was a xiaomi, and for good reason. I have owned several Xiaomi products like my robot vacuum, and they have all been very well made with good attention to detail, reliable components, and usable software. Is there a political reason for them to ignore North America? Have they just not figured it out? Are they afraid of competing with Apple and Samsung? Will qualcomm not license the hardware for them? Xiaomi Labs Shared, Testing Parts in Mi 11 One by One Posted: 30 Dec 2020 08:57 AM PST Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared the video of Xiaomi Labs, where almost every feature of the Mi 11, from radiation value to sound quality, tested one by one. You can get an idea of what kind of testing process Xiaomi has in the video, which is about two and a half minutes long. Details are in our news. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l7X68Fe_7I&ab_channel=SparrowsNews [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Dec 2020 02:20 AM PST Since the update to MIUI12 a few months ago literally fucked my phone, I've decided to make a masterlist of all things that went wrong, compared to MIUI11. Feel free to add what went wrong for you in the comments. 1/ Messenger chat heads make the phone freeze, forcing you to restart it several times a day 2/ battery drain is terrible 3/ notifications arrive or don't arrive depending on their mood apparently 4/ floating windows make games crash 5/ camera in PRO mode absolutely derps and nothing can be set 6/ the whole UI feels more laggy than before 7/ performance absolutely lowered, esp in games requiring some GPU performance 8/ (not sure if caused by update) LCD screen ghosting getting out of hand 9/ random freezes when unlocking or locking phone [link] [comments]

I think I soft-bricked my redmi note 9s Posted: 30 Dec 2020 11:29 AM PST I've set my phone's smallest width (or whatever it's called) in the dev settings to 420px, like I always do in my xiaomi phones because I like the look of it more. I wanted to show my mom how it looked by default, so I went there in an effort to reset it, but I didn't remember the original value, so I started testing it out. I had a total brain-fart and set it to 1080, which just resulted in a black screen. I tried to hold down the power button in order to reboot it but nothing hapenned, so I ended up holding it down for longer until it just turned off manually. It then booted to recovery and I tried to reboot it to the system from there, but as soon as the miui booting animation finished, it vibrated for a couple of seconds and rebooted itself to recovery again. The same thing keeps happening every time I try to reboot it. What can I do? Will a data wipe fix it? Can I use the adb command tools to fix it? [link] [comments]
Mi Home push notifications still don't work Posted: 30 Dec 2020 03:09 PM PST Hey. My Mi Home notifications do not work. I've tried everything. Enabling all permissions, giving priority and checking the app has all the notification settings enabled. Still nothing. I'm using a Xiaomi camera and I believe it should be important for the notifications to come ASAP. Info: Phone - LG V30+ H930DS Mi Home version - 6.0.210 [link] [comments]
Disable led lights in Xiaomi router 4a gigabit edition Posted: 30 Dec 2020 12:14 AM PST I want to disable the lights as they are not comfortable, especially in low ambient light. Is it possible? I haven't seen the option in the app or in the web of the router. At the moment I just cover them with a sock 🤣 Thanks [link] [comments] |
