- I've been under the impression that ONLY Google was sidestepping Carrier dependency for RCS. Will Samsung utilize Google's Jibe service until Carriers build their own RCS hubs? Ex. AT&T, VZW. Is there an estmt on when RCS will go live in Samsung Messages for carriers that DON'T currently support it?

Samsung's "deals" on their website were just a scam. Posted: 30 Nov 2020 03:03 PM PST Pretext, I love samsung and have had their products for years. I got excited because I was going to purchase a new watch for my wife for Christmas and I saw all the deals samsung.com had. But almost every single deal had a little * by it saying "price with qualifying trade in". In fact most deals didn't even have this little disclaimer until you dug into the purchase pretty deep. Kinda scummy. Not everyone has spare phones and watches lying around. Rant over.. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:45 AM PST Hello, I've noticed quite a lot of people have issues with those two phones. I'm curious to hear your personal experience, as I'm currently looking into buying one of these devices. Please, mention if your phone is overheating, has touch problems or any other stuff I should know about! [link] [comments]

Looking for advice on choosing a microSD card! Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:23 PM PST Proud Samsung Galaxy S10+ owner here. My phone is one of the most gratifying decisions I have made. I have the 128GB model, which has been alright and I've supplemented it with a SanDisk 64GB microSD from a few years ago. I'm looking to maximize my storage so I never need to worry again about not having room. According to Samsung, the S10+ can handle up to 512GB. Luckily, microSD cards are on sale right now. My first choice is the Samsung EVO Select, which is apparently almost identical to the EVO Pro. The read/write speeds are around 90MB/s. I've looked into the ratings for microSD cards and the 512GB EVO Select is U3 and seems to be a good choice. There's also SanDisk. I don't know as much about microSD cards as I do about SSDs for PC, but I do trust Samsung when it comes to their flash storage. I have faith that their own brand of microSD card will work great with one of their best phones. I've read that the S10 has a speed limit for microSD cards too. What do you all use for your microSD card? Do you think EVO Select is a solid choice or have you used it and had good experiences? I don't need an extreme microSD for a GoPro or anything. This will just be expansion and a mixture of cold storage of pictures/videos and putting games on there that I will play regularly. Finally, I've read in a few places that the S10 generation doesn't let you record 4k/60 FPS videos to microSD but it stores them on internal storage. Is that true? Does it mean I'd have to move videos manually? [link] [comments]
Dynamic or Movie mode for 4k TV? Posted: 01 Dec 2020 06:50 AM PST I have a Samsung RU8000 TV Rtings say to have it set at Movie Mode but I can't make up my mind. Somethings look great in Movie Mode but others it feels like it lessens the quality. For example I got the Lord of the Rings 4k boxset and some scenes in Movie Mode look great but then some scenes it just seems like a DVD. You can't see the sweat on their faces well, outside looks too cloudy when it's not and the wrinkles on their faces seem hidden. But when I swapped to Dynamic Mode it made it more colorful. Maybe a bit too bright but I could tell there is more detail that Movie Mode felt like it coated. Maybe Movie is best for newer stuff. Even showed that seen to use the filter that David Fincher uses? Tough to decide. What do you use? I dont want to mess with settings too much as I'm not that educated on all this. I use Game Mode for PS5 and that looks fine for games. Looks like dynamic mode really. [link] [comments]

Ads on Samsung tv ... will you buy again? Posted: 30 Nov 2020 09:00 PM PST My 2018 75 inch QLED Samsung tv all of a sudden has ads in the menu and pop ups now, after forced firmware update. How do you feel? Does this bother the community ? [link] [comments]
I've got an S9 PLUS. A little beat up, but mostly good. Having issues with cables. Posted: 01 Dec 2020 01:54 AM PST Only some USB C cables will attach properly. Others just won't charge at all, or just not connect properly, and will fall out as look at them My older cable that I used in my car doesn't work at present. Yeah, its been sitting in a hot car so could have warped, and might not have been charging properly in the past (I was driving, not looking at my phone). I don't remember any issues, though, and it seems to work fine with my better half's S20 FE (much newer). Edit there's another cheapo cable that when I plug my phone in I get the warning about third party cables damaging phones, but charges a USB C device (not anything smart or even vaguely clever) just fine Is this Samsung pulling the some shenanigans like not letting Australian consumers disable the Bixby button, or is it likely damage to my charging port? Opinions, experiences, not enough info? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Dec 2020 05:38 AM PST So, if you heard the latest rumors/leaks, apparently 1 of the 3 IPhone models will be protless, meaning no charging port. Hence, everything done through wireless chargers. Imagine if that allows iPhones to be fully waterproof? That means three things:

Samsung A10E Why is the alarm so loud? Posted: 01 Dec 2020 05:11 AM PST Why is it so loud? If I have the phone in the same room it scares me awake and gives me anxiety for a few hours. What is the purpose? [link] [comments]
Whatsapp Call Notifications with Galaxy S20 FE 5G Posted: 30 Nov 2020 05:05 PM PST Idk if the right place to go, however, I am having a notification issue with whatsapp where I most of the time I don't receive whatsapp calls when the phone is locked. It only rings when I turn my phone screen on. Does anyone else have a similar issue or even have a solution? [link] [comments]
Buds Plus or Buds live worth the upgrade? Posted: 30 Nov 2020 09:34 PM PST Hi Recently traded in my S10+ for S20 5G and am wondering if I should trade/sell my buds to get Buds plus or Buds live. I have seen alot of reviews out there that about both but would like to know from people who have owned how they feel. Do you guys think it is worth upgrading from Galaxy Buds to Buds plus or Buds live? TIA! [link] [comments]
S20 5G (Exynos) or FE 5G (Snapdragon) Posted: 01 Dec 2020 03:15 AM PST I'm taking the leap over to Samsung (currently using a Huawei P20 Pro). My carrier is currently offering the S20 5G (Exynos) and S20 FE 5G (Snapdragon) at near-identical pricing, I've read reviews & comparisons but it's been 50/50 on which to get so I figured I'd reach out to the community for your insights! (P.s. I'm aware of the impending S21 but both the S21 and the S20 Plus/Ultras are out of my price range at the moment) [link] [comments]
Samsung Note into a PDF cuts my writing Posted: 01 Dec 2020 03:11 AM PST Hello everybody, I am starting to take notes during my lectures with a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, using the Samsung Note app. When I converted it into a PDF I noticed that sometimes my writing is cut in half between two pages. Is there any way to show the pages cut while taking notes? It would be extremely useful to me. Thank you for your help. [link] [comments]
is the private folder on Samsung A11 just gone? Posted: 01 Dec 2020 02:58 AM PST so i had an S6 which finally broke and i upgraded to an A11 which dosent have the private folder option in the pull down bar or gallery options, so i look into it, turns out you have to enable it in settings. I go to settings its not there. turns out you have to download "Samsung secure folder" so i go try to do that and then it just says its not compatible with your device. the only specification it states is android 7.0 or higher (mine is 10.0) does Samsung secure folder have any other requirements it dosent say or am i just stupid?
