Posted: 28 Sep 2020 04:07 PM PDT I've been trying to get DnD to work with snapchat forever but for some reason it will never work. I have made sure that snapchat is not set to bypass DnD, I have set DnD to even exclude media sounds but nothing will solve the problem besides turning my phone to silent, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it! Posted: 28 Sep 2020 07:49 PM PDT So remember the Wikipad? Well I got one gifted to me in 2015. Worked great but then haven't used it for about 4 years. I dusted it off and charged it and the thing is running so thought I might use it for D&D. Alas my favourite app (Fight Club 5e) is not available on Android 4.2.2. Does anyone know how I might be able to upgrade this thing? Hoping someone has had some experience. I can't update through the pad as I'm guessing it can't connect to it's update server since it doesn't exist. [link] [comments] |
I need a launcher that allows me to make use of the full screen for KWGT widgets Posted: 28 Sep 2020 02:03 PM PDT Hi, Just like the title.. A launcher with no bottom search bar or dock, so I can use my whole screen for widgets. Tanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to watch over-the-air broadcast TV on Android? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 06:23 PM PDT There's gotta be a way to watch your local PBS station or ABC affiliate or whatever on Android, right? I'm talking about channels that are freely broadcast over the airwaves in a local area. [link] [comments] |
Issue with KLWP and Microsoft Launcher Posted: 28 Sep 2020 03:57 PM PDT I posted on r/Android and seems it was the wrong sub Reddit so here I am. I've ran into to the 5 second delay using KLWP alongside Microsoft launcher, I understand why it's happening, but I'm curious if anyone knows of a fix without rooting? Thank you! [link] [comments] |

does it matter if we take videos with the phone horizontally or vertically? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 08:48 PM PDT I rarely record videos with my phone but just curious about this. I remember not too long ago people were complaining about others recording vertically which made the videos crop out the sides but I am sure now when people unexpectedly need to record a video, they would record vertically instead of horizontally.and it still show everything the camera is meant to record. I guess things must've changed in recent years? [link] [comments] |

Android 10 Launcher that supports system gesture navigation? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 02:41 AM PDT I'm wondering if anyone has found a Launcher that can tie into the system gesture navigation? I'm on a Moto G Power, and I'd like to try out the gesture navigation, but I can only do that if I use the default Moto Launcher. I hate the look of this, and it doesn't support folders so my app drawer is a huge mess. Was told once that access to the gesture API would be coming soon for launchers, but I can't find anything. Would you recommend a Temp Phone ? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 06:34 PM PDT I am sending my oneplus six in for repair. What would be a recommendation that is anywhere for $180-400 that I can use and tinker with until I get this one back. I was even thinking of getting a Pixel 4A to try. This would allow me to sell one of the two once I get the oneplus six back in hand. Maybe I should be looking at a cheaper option like a Xiaomi or something burner status, but figured I would raise the question here. [link] [comments] |
Developer Options Reverting - A2DP Posted: 28 Sep 2020 12:33 PM PDT I'm running Android 11 on the Pixel 2. Recently I've been having quite a bit of annoyance when trying to play audio when my phone would claim to be paired with devices and claim that audio is playing out of the paired device, but audio would only come out of my phone speakers. Through some research, several people seemed to have found the solution was to disable the Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload option in Developer Options. Disabling this requires a restart, and upon restart, my issue would be resolved. Until several hours later and I was paired to another device and it would exhibit the same symptoms. Upon closer inspection, I would find that the Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload option was re-enabled. Again, disabling this option and then restarting would result in audio coming from the paired device and work as intended. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if it seemed to happen all the time now that I've upgraded to Android 11. What I didn't mention is that this option is typically greyed out and I must disable developer options and then re-enable before I can get the A2DP option to be able to be changed. And I don't want to have to restart my phone every time I hop in and out of the car. Anyone else ever come across Developer Options reverting? Is there any way to ensure that this particular option never changes unless I tell it to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Sep 2020 11:03 AM PDT See below for screen shot. I tried searching both Google and Reddit but didn't come across anything, sorry if this had been asked before. While trying to figure out why my phone was suddenly full (separate issue, kids had installed a bunch of stuff. Should've known!) I noticed that the list shows that I have -7 GB under "other." Does anyone know what this is, and if it's going to negatively affect anything? And if possible, how to get rid of it? Here is a screen shot (please ignore how ridiculously full my phone is, this was taken before deleting the stuff that my kids had installed): http://imgur.com/gallery/GJiyqLz Thanks in advance! What is this icon? Screenshot in post Posted: 28 Sep 2020 10:08 AM PDT I'm looking at the square shaped one. I'm thinking it has something to do with "super status bar", as I've just reinstalled it, but I don't remember this icon being there before. Edit- not sure if relevant, but this is a Pixel 2 XL on stock Android 11. Edit- fixed app name to "super status bar" I'm also not sure why the "LTE" is now an "x". Does anyone have a clue about these? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Sep 2020 12:50 PM PDT I got a Samsung Galaxy J6 2018 a while back and broke it around January this year. The screen isn't too badly cracked but it doesnt show any light. Its basically just black whatever I do however it does ring and it vibrate. I dont want to fix it but I would like to recover many things that were on it that I just never backed up or anything. How would I do that? I've tried apps like vysor and they dont seem to work but my pc does recognise the device. [link] [comments] |
4 gb file limit on android devices Posted: 28 Sep 2020 12:46 PM PDT I have asus zenphone max pro M1 device with Android 8.0, 4/64 gb variant. I want to download file larger than 4 gb. My previous device had 4 gb Download limit(Fat32 fs) and the file would get corrupted if it was larger than 4 gb. I have tried installing terminal emulator and executing df and mount commands which showed exfat4 for boot sector partition and Sdcardfs file system for storage partition. Quick search on google showed nothing that could answer my question. Can I download files larger than 4 gb in internal storage of my device? [link] [comments] |
How long will the OnePlus 7t get updates? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 10:06 AM PDT Does anyone happen to be familiar with Oneplus's update practices? Is the OnePlus 7t expected to get updates for a while? At least security updates? And enough updates to be a phone that works well? It isn't a piece of shit lol? [link] [comments] |

Google backup to multiple/alt accounts? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 09:23 AM PDT Hi, I have been using my free google account to backup to for quite some time. My photos are getting full as well. I happen to also have a GSuite account. Is it possible to switch my phone to backup to this account while still using my old account as the main account? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
I think my phone's been infested with adware! Posted: 28 Sep 2020 07:39 AM PDT A few days ago, I downloaded an apk for an app which was not on the play store anymore (important reasons). But I think the app was infested with adware, so at times while the phone is on, a random chrome tab would open without my input while I'm doing something, and I would sometimes get erotic dating site ads or online casino ads. What can I do to fix this? I have limited personal data on my phone but it can be annoying installing all my apps again. I have a Samsung J7 Prime, model SM-J727T (t-mobile) running android 8.0.
