[QUESTION] How can I export my passwords from icloud to Google or Samsung Pass? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:19 PM PDT I recently switched to android, and I'm trying to do this. I've managed to export the passwords into a csv file, but I can't find a way to import them into Google. I've tried importing them into Chrome, by enabling the import opción via chrome://flags, on both Windows and Mac, but it doesn't work. Any help? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 09:04 PM PDT I installed Graphene OS and it's not booting up. It just stays in the google logo. After I installed it it say system is corrupt then it said system is trying to boot into a new OS. It's stuck on the google logo and I didn't install TWRP. It's on a Pixel 3. Its dumb that I can't post a picture on here. How do I fix this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 09:22 AM PDT Hello everyone, I'm looking for any recommended free/non-annual subscription based Android App recommendation for a substitute for Microsoft 365. For years, I've used OpenOffice on my Windows PCs/laptops to create and edit documents and spreadsheets. And on Android, I've used OfficeSuite app. At some point, I purchased the premium version of OfficeSuite. The drawback to OfficeSuite is that it doesn't support .odt files with passwords. Also, lately, OfficeSuite keeps prompting me to sign up for an annual subscription for $19.99 a year. I'm tempted to start purchasing a Microsoft Office 365 personal subscription for around $70 a year, just to avoid all of the hassles of trying to get by with OpenOffice and my previously paid for OfficeSuite app. Are there any Android App recommendations for Microsoft 365 substitutes these days? I'm looking for something that doesn't have ads and is geared more toward a one time premium purchase rather than annual subscriptions. Thanks to anyone who has input. [link] [comments] |
My Redmi Note 8 Pro doesn't have navigation gestures (the bar and all) Posted: 30 Aug 2020 10:22 PM PDT I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro, and it is updated to Android 10, but I still have the square, circle, and triangle as my navigation bar, like it used to be in the previous versions with and without a launcher. Can someone explain why I don't have the Android 10 navigation bar and how can I enable it? [link] [comments] |
Do apps have their own in-app browser or do they use my Chrome? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 09:52 PM PDT The specific app is in Google Play Editor's Choice, it's called HelloTalk. How can I tell what browser it's opening web links with? It opened a sketchy spammy website so I want to clear any cookies/data but I don't see the in-app browsing in My Google Activity. Thanks for helping me understand. [link] [comments] |
How do I stop Android from immediately killing the app after I leave it? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 11:35 AM PDT I'm on Android 10, and recently (after updating from 9, maybe?) it just started killing apps several seconds after I leave them. For example, I accidentally click an imgur album link on reddit, then immediately go back, and reddit just resets. Same goes with notifications. I leave an app to see a message, and it gets killed right as I click the notification. This has become unbearable recently. And way to slow down killing apps? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Android Q randomized mac address not working Posted: 30 Aug 2020 09:07 PM PDT It worked for a few days, and I may have changed a setting that's preventing it from working now. It's definitely turned on for the network, I keep flipping between device mac and random. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to run an app in the background? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 08:50 PM PDT As in openly running in the background. Like with multi-resume splitscreen with 2 apps running at the same time, but in theory like having two "app-windows" running without having it in split-screen. I just wanna keep my idle games running while looking at s**tposts. [link] [comments] |
Web changes monitor: check4change on android?? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:02 PM PDT Hello I'm looking for an application that similar to check 4 change add on in Firefox.. I try to search on playstore but every application i tried there isn't work as expected.. The proplems i face was that the interval was too long ((check website every 6 hours!!)) Or sometime it the web just stack while i select a text to monitor.. //// If you aren't familiar with c4c ((addon Firefox)), simply it check a specific text in a page for "x" seconds and plays sound whenever the text changes.. For example, seats for trains, train to london and train to Oxford You select the train first from select option then you just highlight the "unavailable" seat and check every 5 seconds, until it becomes "available", then simply it plays a sound to inform you //// So any one have any idea or a similar helpful application?? Thanks Please help [link] [comments] |
Increase the number of incorrect guesses I can make when entering my pin Posted: 30 Aug 2020 08:40 PM PDT My pin is fairly long and I enter it quickly. Occasionally I'll get it wrong too many times in a row and lock myself out of my phone. Is it possible to increase the number of incorrect guesses I can make to around 10? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 08:12 PM PDT Hello everyone! I hope I'm doing this right...and doing this in the right reddit. T-Mobile, Revvlry+, about two-ish years old I think? Maybe one? Android, of course. So I have this little whistling/whirring/static noise that I can hear whenever I open any camera related app (camera, Snapchat, etc)...I opened it in Safe Mode, but of course it didn't have a noise. Thing is, even outside of Safe Mode, I don't have the noise. It isn't until I open an app that uses the camera that the noise begins. It doesn't just show up in recordings, you can just put your ear near the mic/camera area on the back of the phone and you can hear it, whether you're recording or just have it open on the app. I've tried turning off Google Assistant as I read somewhere, I tried deleting a bunch of my apps (excluding ones I frequently use or need like CashApp or Uber Eats or WhatsApp or Instagram and stuff), and the noise still happens, even after I deleted some apps I figured could potentially be the cause and restarted my phone. Any idea what this could be and how to solve it? Or is this something out of my control and I may need to get a new phone? If needed, I can send a video that features said whirring/whistling/static noise. It's not loud or anything, but you can hear it in recordings (sometimes only faintly, sometimes very loudly) and if you put your ear close to the back area of the phone (no need to be in contact with it, maybe six inches away and you can hear it) and it's frustrating. Anyone having issues with Samsung E-mails? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 07:05 PM PDT I don't know which update it was, because I left my S9+ without updates for about a year and then decided to do them all at once lol. But I believe the Samsung E-Mail app has been updated and now decides what emails come thru to the inbox? I check on the app, doesn't show some - go on outlook in chrome and emails are all there. I thought it was doing some weird sorting thing, maybe a setting had been changed or something but users are reporting issues on the play store too. Any recommendations on other email applications for android? Has anyone been able to fix the standard app, because I've got it setup how I like it just disappointing that it won't show all emails. Too many share options, how did I shorten the list? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 02:48 PM PDT On any app that allows sharing, like to Facebook/discord/ect, a huge list of 3 or 4 dozen apps comes up. I have to scroll through looking for one of the two or three apps I ever share to. This wouldn't be a problem if the list would be in the face order every time but it gets completely scrambled. If I tap share, then go back and tap share again everything is ordered differently again. How do I just remove the apps I never share to from this list? I use a Samsung Galaxy S8+ [link] [comments] |
Samsung Galaxy A20, tried root. No OS installed. Sideload doesn't work. Posted: 30 Aug 2020 06:16 PM PDT I was attempting to root and flash Havoc OS on my phone. I am in TWRP and I don't have the havoc OS image on my device's storage. All of my device has been wiped and there is no OS there anymore (rebooting gives me that warning that I shouldn't reboot cause I don't have an OS). Sideload keeps failing to start when I go to Advanced -> Sideload (in TWRP) and I do have the phone connected to the PC with a USB cable but it doesn't show anything in the File Explorer. `adb devices` doesn't list anything in list of connected devices and adb push shows the "no device/emulator found" error. Is my phone bricked? Please help me. [link] [comments] |
Seeking Way To Get One Audio Channel Over Phone Call of Headset Talking and MP3 Playing at Same Time Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:38 PM PDT Hi Folks - I am seeking a way to have my voice (via a headset) and an MP3 playing to both be audible over a phone call at the same time. I've scoured the web for a how-to article and looked for an app, but could find nothing useful. I tried using two lines in (voice through headset, and computer playing mp3) and one line out to my phone through a mini-mixer, but was told that on the other end all people could hear was either my voice or the mp3. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |

"Driving with Google Maps" persistent Notification with Android Auto - How to prevent it? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 06:57 AM PDT Is there a way to stop Android Auto / Google Maps from displaying this "Driving with Google Maps" notification: https://i.imgur.com/LNsxKbZ.jpg The problem is that I stopped driving yesterday and it still displays. It shows up forever even after the maps application is closed and the only way to dismiss it is to click the down arrow and select "Exit Navigation"... even though Android Auto and Google Maps are not running. You can't swipe right to dismiss it. This is on a galaxy S9. [link] [comments] |
Help turning a phone into a desktop PC? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:29 PM PDT I have a unique situation where I only have access to a phone, in this case a samsung A51, and id like to configure it to be as close to a working desktop setup as possible. What this means is connecting a mouse, keyboard, and external video display, all while passively charging the phone. I've done some research and found some OTG USB hubs on Amazon, but I'm not sure which would fit all my requirements, or if it would even work. Ideally the video output should be HDMI, if necessary I can buy a chrome cast or something similar, but the goal is to have everything wired, with a single USB C connector plugging into my phone, charging it, and giving it all this extra functionality. Can anyone steer me down the right path? What should I buy to accomplish this? [link] [comments] |
