I also got that issues, and it's fcking annoying. I'm going to get a replacement unit from my seller, but even then I would get those issues. People reported issues after weeks of using, even if there had been no issues when getting it. Means that the display is messed up. It's a great phone, I just switched to the 8 Pro from my 11 Pro, but those issues are not acceptable at this price. Even for a 50$ phone it would not be okay, I bought it and want it without issues. Gonna keep u guys updated. It's just that I thought that this would be great. And yeah, it's a great phone. But we don't really know what's happening at OnePlus HQ. Maybe they're working on it. But please OnePlus, we need a statement. Software updates also fixed the problems with the OP7, everybody thought that it was hardware related. But they fixed it with an update. Let's hope for the best. WHAT WE WANT: -A official statement from OnePlus and an apology. -A solution such as the confirmation that you could submit to all seller (even after the 30 day purchase period has expired) = prove that it is a manufacturing field EDIT: THE DISPLAY ISSUES ARE ONLY PRESENT AT THE 8 PRO MODELS. Brand new $1300 phone (insert save on cells plug here) for the 256/12 model.... Taking a few pictures and not too worried so I bring it in the water and after ten minutes, trying to take a selfie the way I'm holding it to try and hit the button, the phone does reverse two-and-a-half somersaults tuck annnnndd ploooop!! in she goes. Roughly 5 feet of water sandy bottom. What the eff did I just do... .. doing a crab style walk sweeping my feet around, I can't find it. But it's gotta be right in front of me? so I dive in to see if I can see it.. Nope. After 45 minutes and picking up random rocks, and even a rock the size and shape of a smartphone. I FOUND MY PHONE! None the less, this is a lesson learned and I am now going to be less careless. Especially with a phone I've only had for two weeks. PSA.. Don't be an idiot! I can't decide between buying Nord or S20. I know I will be satisfied with S20 since I use S7 now and I know Samsung phones have beautiful screen colors. So are you guys happy with your Nord so far? Compared to the6T Nord is: Just as fast, haven't noticed any speed difference Better screen Way way better cameras Feels lighter and more Compact in the hand Feels narrower Fingerprint scanner is a lot better and faster The macro camera is garbage,but we knew that I like the ultrawide camera on the front and back The case that comes with the phone is excellent with a usb c Port Cover The selfie on 6t was annoying me,the position on the Nord is perfect The speaker is better and on the right side so I don't cover it anymore with my finger Dual SIM works great. But you can't use 5g with 2 Sims yet. Don't care. So far I am very happy with the Nord I hope all considering to upgraded like me will now have a lighter decision. For some reason out of nowhere it desided to always disconnect from my wifi after 2 to 3 minutes being connected. I've tried every solution. Example: reseting wifi settings, restarting my phone even factory reseting. Also this has nothing to do with my router as it also disconnects from other wifi spots. | Software support for OnePlus Buds not fully provided so far on OnePlus 7T Pro. Posted: 02 Aug 2020 06:06 AM PDT Got my OnePlus Buds delivered today. One thing I found pretty odd is that actual software support to remap the touch controls or even auto firmware upgrade is not there on my OnePlus 7T Pro. It's odd that OP has updated OP6/6T with the support but not relatively newer lineup. The only feature currently I am getting is Find my Buds. Other than that no software compatible features which OnePlus advertised. If OnePlus actually wanted to provide a good experience maybe provide the software for it. | Posted: 02 Aug 2020 12:45 PM PDT A few months ago, I downloaded an apk which added the navigation icons to the recents drawer on OnePlus launcher. I downloaded it from a post on this sub. Since then, most of the time that I go from an app to the home screen, there is a one second delay until my apps show up. Even when the delay is not there, the animations are not nearly as smooth as they used to be. The launcher behaves like a normal app now, closing when there is not enough ram. | 7 pro 10.3.3 double tap to wake not working Posted: 02 Aug 2020 02:56 AM PDT (foolishly) updated my phone last night, double tap to wake doesn't work upon restart. enabling and disabling every setting google searches suggested (ambient display, single tap to wake, adaptive brightness, clearing caches, etc.) did not fix it. assuming it's a bug with this update, looking to see if anyone else is available experiencing the same. drawing patterns while off still works, using that as a workaround for now.
