| Posted: 01 Aug 2020 11:05 AM PDT On this day, one year ago I got my OnePlus 7 Pro Nebula Blue 12/256GB and I'm still so happy with it. When it got unveiled it was love at first sight and I just had to have it. Everytime I remove the case to clean it I still go: "Wow this phone is absolutely gorgeous!". It's so fast and the display is so smooth too. Everything about this phone is great. Thinking about doing a factory reset though, because there's a lot of junk on there but I'm still figuring out what I want to keep. This is the best phone I've ever had! I've looked at the bands it supports and I'm no expert, but it's seems like some of them overlap so would it function? I bought a OnePlus 8 Pro like a week and half ago and at the moment of the purchase there was this promotion for a $150 worth accessorie voucher. I've been trying to use my voucher to buy some stuff but the code keeps saying that it's already claimed and use a different one. I contacted support and tbh they have been terrible in at least telling me what happened. I only received one email back from the first request telling me that yes there was a promotion (which of course I already knew) and that's it. I contacted them again as a follow-up using the same email and nothing happened. No response. Third time requested help from support again and again the same thing. Yes there's a promotion (but this time) please provide the code to further assist. I did. Screenshot and everything. Still nothing. I don't even know what else to do. I always wear earphones with the small size silicone ear tips and the "default" medium size doesn't fit me well. Will the OnePlus Buds be comfortable for me? But after the latest update to Android 10 there are a few bugs i am hating and also its basically the end of the support for my 5t. I would like anyone who tried LineageOS to tell their experience and if they recommend or not, or any other versions of Android with mentioning what they are. The reason I want this is because when my phone is on a table I want to be able to show the ambient display without having to pick it up. While also keeping the double tap to turn the display on. | Battery Settings Crashes (Unlocked 7T) Posted: 01 Aug 2020 02:04 PM PDT Hello Oneplus fam, reaching out for some ideas here. Every time I go into the battery settings, it simply force closes until it states "settings keeps stopping" or something similar. I've tried clearing the data of the Oneplus Launcher and clearing data and cache from recovery mode. I'd like to avoid factory reset if at all possible. I'm considering simply upgrading to Beta 6 and see if that cures my issues. Anyone have a similar issue? If so, what fixed it? I've tried searching for a fix to no avail. [link] [comments]  | ||

I've been a big samsung fanboy for the last decade but I've became more and more disgusted in their phones as time goes on. Because they are way too mainstream with 20gb of bloatware that you cannot delete and their knox security deliberately bricks your phone when you try to root. That being said, I've done lots of research and decided that oneplus is definitely my kind of phone and I never would have considered them in the past because I'm a heavy power user. But with the specs of the 8 pro, my sights have zeroed in. I'm looking to root this phone for personal privacy and security reasons; like not allowing certain apps to have permissions and being able to monitor all network connections. Also to get the best life out of my battery, and customize my device to my hearts content. I do not plan on doing any crazy modifications like flashing a new os. I think I will be more than happy with oxygen. So since I'm brand new to the community, I just wanted to ask for some advice or things to look out for. Since I'm buying the unlocked 8 pro and plan on using it as my daily driver for most likely the next 2 years at least. So I just want to make sure I dont mess anything up and do this the most cautious way. I planned on using magisk to root the phone. Is that the safest way? Or should I use a different program? Any other advise about this subject or about oneplus phones in general would be greatly appreciated since I've never owned or used one before.Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||
