Can we make a Pinned post with all "Best paid apps" to get rid of daily posts about this? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 07:35 AM PDT Every day or week, we're seeing people asking about : What's the best paid app you have on your phone. Basically, it's always the same apps in evey thread. Wouldn't it be simple if we had a pinned post with a giant list? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:47 AM PDT Just wondering what are some of the best icon packs in your opinion, I use the pixel icon back and adaptive icon pack by pixelflow, and it's amazing, but I'm trying to find other icon packs to use, particularly one that resembles Samsung's oneui. [link] [comments] |
Customizable spreadsheet editor that doesn't require you to sign in to use it? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 10:32 AM PDT Microsoft Excel requires me to sign in to a Microsoft account in order to edit a file. Google sheets automatically signs me in and doesn't let me customize the date format they automatically format dates in. I'm looking for alternatives without these issues. [link] [comments] |
Facebook Messenger can't be put on silent? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 08:28 AM PDT Hello, I have always had my Messenger app set on silent (from the phone's settings). Ever since my Huawei P20 Pro got an update every time I set the app on silent it reverts back to the original setting in a matter of minutes. Any solution to this? Was thinking I could maybe delete the sounds itself from the app's files? [link] [comments] |
What's the WORST Paid App you've bought and still kept? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 11:30 AM PDT "Best app. Best paid app. What the best ...?" Too many queries, too many apps, too many functions, too many differing opinions to look thru. I tire of this; I want common consensus and not just continual disagreement and bickering. ;-) So what's the worst app you've bought and not returned? Regretful overnight purchases thru apps degrading over time or replaced by a now-native function. You can use Purchased Apps to find your old purchases if you drunk-bought and forgot. Mine I guess is: Lux Auto Brightness ($2) and Flashlight Pro ($1) -- all my devices now include this as basic functionality. Most regretful purchases: AirSync($1), PicSay Pro ($1), Thinking Space ($3), and CamScanner ($5). Those last 2 worked but got bought out and now want you to buy the newer, better versions. I never did Apple, so iTunes AirSync was worthless to me. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2020 08:09 AM PDT It's telling me to transfer my collection to Youtube Music, but that app is complete shit so no thanks. Right now I'm just transferring my collection to an SD card, but it's only 64gb so it won't work forever. [link] [comments] |
Need internal tester to help us translate my app. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 10:57 AM PDT Hi, I have make an application called ExifTool for Android, this app is ported from ExifTool by Phil Harvey, so it must be nice if some one can help me translate this application. Currently, I have a set of English, Japanese & VietNamese languages, so it would be nice if some one can help me to translate to the other languages. My app, currently, support many feature like ExifTool does, including view/edit or delete Exif, XMP or IPTC data for Video, Photo (HEIF also is supported). I get some feedbacks from user that they want need to translate to their languages but they doesn't have a knowledge to support it. To fair for all, I want give a gift like the maximum Premium version for you who can help me translate to your language, that's not so much. See my app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.exiftool.free Contact us in reddit or by email: [cellhubsapp@gmail.com](mailto:cellhubsapp@gmail.com) Thank you! [link] [comments] |

Fingerprint app lock app that is easy on battery. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:53 AM PDT Currently using app lock by keepsafe (which doesn't seem to be on the play store anyore) and Samsung keeps bitching that it's draining battery. I'm wondering if there is a better, more battery friendly, option for unrooted phones. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
App to monitor resource usage of individual apps and force stop them Posted: 31 Jul 2020 01:35 AM PDT For a few days my games are running in lower and unstable fps than before and i think its one of the apps hogging my resources, is there an app to find which so i can shut them off during my gaming session atleast? idc if they use battery later to start up i just want my fps back [link] [comments] |
Browsers that support volume key tab switching? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 06:26 AM PDT Was using Dolphin for this but I've been hearing more and more about how shady it is. I just know it'll be a nightmare to try and get used to a browser that doesn't have this particular feature, though. If the title didn't make it clear enough, basically you can use the volume keys to switch between opened tabs in the browser. I haven't been able to find any other browsers that have this. Any help? App that tracks cumulative routes Posted: 31 Jul 2020 02:13 AM PDT I am looking for an app that would track my walks, but shows the result in a cumlative way, so that I can easily find places that I never explored in a given area. Maybe something like the map found here. Unfortunately, there are so many apps that track routes, that it's impossible to find one that has this specific feature. Or maybe there are apps dedicated to area coverage? Either way, I could not find any. I could manually upload all my tracks to a single map, but I am looking for something more automated. Also, if it's easy to upload all tracks on a single map, why is it so hard to find an app that does it? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Jul 2020 11:06 PM PDT Is there a app which can take iPhone like Studio Light photos (the ones with the black background). I know it's possible in post editing but it's an extra step so it would be nice to have some kind of camera app Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Good blue light filter + grayscale filter at the same time? (Flux?) Posted: 30 Jul 2020 07:17 PM PDT I own a shitty android phone so Digital Wellbeing is incompatible with my device. Well, it does have a blue light filter but at max is yellow at best, so I use Twilight on top of that at max setting for extra redness (and max dimness, too.) Recently I became interested in greyscale, too. Not just during the night, but also for during the day. I found an app called Grey-Switch which is pretty cool as it allows me to quickly switch between normal and greyscale since the feature is very buried under settings and I want to quickly, once again, switch. However, the problem lies in the order of those filters. The phone's default blue light filter sits on top of all of that which is fine. But since I had to do a semi root to use Grey-Switch, it overlays on top of Twilight, which does not require any root permissions so it's like less priority. That results in the red filter being cancelled by the greyscale. You might be confused right now with all that filter madness, and it's understandable. If you want a good example of what I want to achieve, you can see it on Windows. Set both the greyscale and night time filter (to max) and you'll see the greyscale does not cancel out the red overlay, and in fact enhances it. So yeah. What do I do? Is there a way I can change the order of the apps or... is there an app that does both? I think I read F.lux does it, but do I need to root my phone? I have no issue with that, I just want some tips and recommendations. Cheers. edit: just found out f.lux is only a preview for now so it probably doesn't have greyscale. i am very worried that there is no fix. i'll try contacting the maker of greyswitch.
