Other files (when I select all in the files manager) is also roughly 15 gb. Can someone please tell where did the other 30 gb go? My phone's 2 years old now if that helps. She has absolutely zero knowledge on anything tech related, let alone smartphones and tablets. Figuring out the TV remote was relatively troublesome. I am going to buy her a sim card (it's cheap where she lives) and the only thing I want her to have is Skype (or any simple video call app). How do I set it up the most easy way possible? Ill text person A, it sends my text message twice as a duplicate BUT in the 2nd duplicate text, it will include a response from someone else's conversation i had a few days prior! So I texted my dad, it sent my message twice but in the 2nd message it included a text I received from someone else like 5 days ago. It wasnt even a text I sent, but a text from someone else, being sent to someone else. I'm using the regular text message app and I don't have a 3rd party text app. Neither message was copied to my clipboard either. Wth is going on?? [link] [comments]  |
| Pixel 4 XL and the lack of fingerprint reader Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:39 PM PDT So I finally upgraded after putting it off for years, and was torn between the pixel 4 xl and galaxy s10+, I had a nexus 4 and 5x, and used a pixel 1 for awhile so I figured pixel was the way to go. I knew it was going to have the new face unlock thing but never realized it would not have the finger print reader at all. Honestly it feels like a big step backwards. Sure the face unlock works much better now but in my opinion its not as easy to use as the fingerprint was, like sometimes i feel like i'm just staring at my phone blankly waiting for something to happen and for whatever reasons its not even trying to read my face and then i have to hit a button or swipe the screen to get it to work. I have 15 days to return my device to my carrier, and I'm kind of debating going over to the s10+ now. Is this a good idea or am I just going to be annoyed at that one for something else now? What do you guys think? I used to hate the samsung bloatware but heard its much better now, but I have heard the new screen fingerprint reader isnt very good either? [link] [comments]  |

Mine is seemingly random, and constantly changing just after I press it, and all of a sudden I'm sending a meme about a transexual turtle to a family member. Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:26 PM PDT I have searched online forums, called Samsung and called the phone carrier where the Samsung G s10 was bought and to no avail have I been able to figure this out. How do I enable/get the "OEM UNLOCK" option on a Samsung Galaxy s10 Snapdragon? I have tried all trouble shooting methods for the disabling auto update and auto time/date to move forward the time 7 days or back track 7 days. Waited a week to see if the option was available after the waiting period. I have run into a wall. Does anybody have advice in how to fix this problem? Meaning that if your credit card is from an American bank, your app store will be the US app store, regardless of your actual physical location. So if you're an American living in Italy, you will not be able to access the Italian app store, unless you have an Italian credit card. And you will be able to access the US app store from Italy because you have an American credit card. With Google it's not clear at all. It just so happens that the location I am in is also the place where my credit card is from. However I have a credit card from another country that I have never used with my Google account. To make is easy to understand, let's say I live in Italy, and I use my Italian credit card to buy apps from the Italian play store. However, I also have an American credit card, and I want to access the US Play Store from Italy. It's not clear to me that if I change or simply add my American credit card, Google will let me have access to the US Play Store. Just like it's not clear to me that if I move to the US or use a US VPN location, Google will let me access the US Play Store with my Italian credit card on file. For most people who use the Google Play Store their credit cards are from the same country that they are physically in. But what about for those who don't. Basically, I want to access the US PlayStore from Italy even though I am not in the US because the US store has more apps. How do I change app store countries? Will using a VPN allow me to do that? Will adding my US credit card allow me to do that? Would I have to remove my Italian credit card? 2 years ago I asked Google about this on the phone and they did not seem to know the answer. | Google Assistant music recognition stuck on the same song Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:50 PM PDT Whenever I ask google, "what song is this?" it instantly responds with the same exact song title. It doesn't listen at all, it just replies with the title for this song that it's stuck on. I don't have the issue when I switch accounts, so I think it's tied to my account and not to something going on with the app. I tried clearing the app cache and storage but it did not work. | BATTERY CHARGES WAY TOO FAST (19% TO 100% IN ABOUT 2 MINUTES) Posted: 28 Jun 2020 03:49 AM PDT I recently had to change the battery in my note 8 because by the time it reached 39% it would rapidly discharge despite being on a charger. Since I got the new battery, it's bee charging waaaay too fast. Like by the time it would reach 65% Id blink and its at 100%. I tried calibrating the battery (draining it till it shuts down, then charging till 100% and turning it back on). That made things worse. It went from 19% to 100% on just 2 minutes. What's going on? After some browsing i found the Samsung EP-TA800XBEG (25W, max 5V/3A). Should I buy it? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 04:06 PM PDT This is kind of a weird post, and it's not a big deal, but it annoys me that when I tell Google to open an app or something, it stays open in another tab, and I have to swipe it out of the way every time for it to actually go away. My only concern is bricking my phone, and losing all my data. Is there a way I can keep my data? I am again considering this because of recovering deleted things. My question is just, how? How, and what are the advantages and disadvantages? I have heard that the US models cannot be rooted. Then from there, how would I go about recovering deleted things? I tried installing the game, but it didn't get installed. I did however lose the 4gb the game needed. Because it didn't get installed I don't know how to delete it. | Band name displaying incorrectly Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:50 PM PDT I have a Galaxy S20+ and a bit ago, I downloaded an album from a band called The Hundredth. The problem begins that I also have a band callled Hundredth on my phone, and it decided to merge the two artists together. I've used several different apps to check the data on the files, all of them display the artist correctly, except for one app, which shows the incorrect name but whenever I attempt to edit it simply reverts. I've tried deleting the files and transferring them back from my PC many times now, and each time, it sends them back under the incorrect artist. It's driving me absolutely insane trying to get everything back where it belongs, and any advice on how to fix this would be very much appreciated. Thanks. [link] [comments]  |
