- So if I use MediaPlayer.create().start() in my source code to play music for my app, it works fine on an actual phone but on the emulator, the music is played with consistent disruptions but if I keep hitting the button repeatedly, it gradually plays better... any reason why?

So, I did a bit of (re)search in this sub to help with the decision. I found this post very useful : However, not all apps mentioned there have remainders or cloud sync. I have come to the conclusion of the following foss and non-oss. FOSS :- Joplin, standard notes, simple notes, Turtl Proprietary:- Tick tick, todoist, MS todo, Memorigi. I want your opinions on what fills the requirements mentioned in the title plus it's trusted and encrypted enough, especially for proprietary, so that I can optionally save passwords or other sensitive info. For foss its desirable if it has large userbase so that 1) the developer may ask for contributions and the app doesn't shut down one day for financial reasons 2) the code is reviewed by experts or people with sufficient know-how and deemed safe. P S : 1)checkboxes are a plus alongwith remainders on Outlook Calendar or Google Calendar and backup to gdrive, onedrive or Dropbox 2) Doesn't prefer monthly subscription but open to one time purchase [link] [comments]  |

For some time im having spotify issue on my head unit.. sometimes it didnt start with "not responding" error. I tried factory reset and now it stuck on spotify logo. I tried 2 older versions but same problem.. anyone have same issue or know how to solve it? Android 7.1.2. It was working without problems over a year but just started maybe month or two ago. It's smooth, no bugs, the free version is more than enough for most poeple, and it's clean. I was one of the people that was crushed when Pushbullet released their business model, and since then I haven't found an alternative. I tried using Pushbullet recently, but it's been buggy for me (running on OnePlus 7 Pro). Posted: 01 May 2020 10:15 AM PDT so, part of my source code will have -> android:layout_marginBottom="400dp" which sets a button at the top but when I changed the dpi setting in the AVD Manager for a different phone, the button was moved to a completely different spot. So it's obvious that if I use "marginBottm=400dp"", my app will have its button at different locations for different phones... THAT'S A DISASTER.... Is there any way to prevent that?? | Weird issue with Sync and Boost (reddit clients) Posted: 01 May 2020 07:29 AM PDT I mainly use Sync since it's clean, simple, and the easiest transition from 9GAG (an era before I know reddit), but it has trouble loading video files, either it's GIF (Imgur's mp4) or Giphy and has the most problem with the shitty v.reddit So I try Boost as a 2nd client for my.. uh.. more 'sensitive' stuff.. and it handles video files nicely, GIF and Giphy loads pretty quickly, and v.reddit still shitty. but for some reason Boost struggles alot opening Imgur albums whereas Sync can handle them pretty quickly. TL;DR Sync sucked in handling video/gif, Boost sucked in handling imgur album, and v.reddit is shit in both. any better alternative? or maybe anyone can pinpoint what's the problem here? | Widget to toggle between max and set brightness? Posted: 01 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT I always either use a set brightness of around 10% when indoor or max when outdoor. It would be great to have a quick toggle just above my bottom app dock between the two instead of trying to find the brightness slider which is nearly impossible to see in direct sunlight when using my normal indoor setting. I know there's also 'automatic' brightness, but it never works 'just right' for my liking. [link] [comments]  |

| The og youtube app does not open on my Mi 8 phone Posted: 01 May 2020 11:35 AM PDT Hello everyone, until a week ago I had the app on the phone and it worked relatively well, a few days ago I did a cleaning on the phone and I think I deleted one of the files and since the app does not open to me, I downloaded a lot of versions from all different sites, the first time after installing the app worked Well and now that I'm trying to get into the app it just doesn't open to me, it shows a little loading and then straight course.
