3 Quick Tl;Dr Android Game Reviews / Recommendations (Episode 139) Posted: 02 Mar 2020 08:04 AM PST I know, it isn't exactly Friday (sorry for bursting your bubble, hehe), but I had a busy weekend so I had to postpone this weekly post to Monday. Hope you'll still enjoy the read through my 4 mobile gaming recommendations of the week, guys :) This time, I found an offline dungeon-crawler RPG in the vein of Card Thief, a fun turn-based roguelike with a unique twist on the match-3 combat, an action bow-and-arrow shooter, and a fantasy-themed idle RPG with a crazy amount of content and decent monetization. Disagree with my opinion? Let's have a friendly discussion below. New to these posts? Check out the first one from 138 weeks ago here. The games are "ranked" somewhat subjectively from best to worst, so take the ranking for what it is. Here are the games:Look, Your Loot! [Game Size: 42 MB] (free)Genre: Card / Dungeon-crawler / RPG / Card Thief-like - Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Little tl;dr review: Look, Your Loot! is a well-made card-based dungeon crawler inspired by Card Thief that sets itself apart by having multiple game-modes, all of which are available in the free version of the game. Our goal is to get as far as possible into a dungeon consisting of a 3x3 (or 4x3) grid of cards that can either contain enemies, potions, or loot. At certain intervals, we'll meet a boss card too, and once we defeat it, we level up and get to pick 1 of 2 random power-ups that last until we die. With 11 unique heroes to play as (unlocked through in-game gold or premium currency) and multiple game-modes, the game is very enjoyable and has a decent level of replayability as well. Monetization happens through ads that appear from time to time when we die, which can be removed through a $2 iAP, and additional iAPs to buy premium currency to unlock 4 of the heroes. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Lost in the Dungeon [Game Size: 164 MB] (free)Genre: Roguelike / RPG / Turn-based / Match-3 - Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Little tl;dr review: Lost in the Dungeon is a turn-based roguelike RPG puzzle game with a unique twist on the match-3 gameplay mechanic. Starting out, we pick one of 8 unique heroes, for which we can then buy permanent upgrades and new skills before we launch the play-session. Once we're in, we're presented with a grid of tiles. Our goal is to deal damage by connecting 3 or more tiles of a color that matches the color of one of the enemies that spawn in waves at the top of the screen. After every wave, we get to a shop where we can buy new equipment for our hero, which increases our overall starts like defense and attack power, and whenever we level up, we get to pick a temporary stat-increase as well. The gameplay is spiced up a bit through tiles that have a power-up attached to them, which activates whenever we destroy those tiles, as well as through certain enemies that can lock up parts of our grid of tiles. The game is fun and well-made, and the unique twist of RPG, match-3, and roguelike elements really come together nicely. Monetization happens through incentivized ads for additional loot, and iAPs to get more orbs, which is used to unlock and level up new heroes - but we also earn orbs through gameplay, which makes the iAPs unnecessary. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Last Arrows [Total Game Size: 194 MB] (free)Genre: Action / Shooter - Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Last Arrows is a fun level-based arrow shooter where we try to defeat all enemies in each level with as few shots as possible to earn 3 stars. The game features two difficulties for each level, as well as an endless survival mode where enemies run towards us and we have to shoot them all before they hit us. As we progress through the game's levels, we unlock new abilities that make combat more interesting, like a slow-mo ability, and an ability that allows us to shoot arrows that curve on their way to the enemy, which makes it possible to shoot around obstacles. The game monetizes through ads that pop-up between levels from time to time, with a $2 iAP to remove the ads, and a few other iAPs to unlock new heroes immediately if we don't want to grind gold to unlock them. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Endless Frontier [Total Game Size: 233 MB] (free)Genre: RPG / Idle / Fantasy - Requires Online Access Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Idle tl;dr review: Endless Frontier is a huge fantasy-themed RPG idle game where we start auto-repeating quests to earn gold, and spend that gold by unlocking and leveling up progressively better and stronger heroes that fight monsters for us. The game offers a ton of features to keep things interesting, like gear with lots of interesting attributes, resource dungeons, a guild system, a "PvP" battle arena, and much more. When things slow down to a halt, we can reset our progress in exchange for a currency used to buy permanent upgrades that improve our heroes, and then the gameplay loop repeats. Progression in Endless Fronter is very fast, which made it a very enjoyable experience, and unlike many idle games, we're not forced to watch ads to progress either. There are lots of iAPs, but none of them feel necessary, and we earn free premium currency through normal gameplay throughout the game, and not just for the first few hours to lure us in. Recommendations for Gacha-type games without an anime art style Posted: 02 Mar 2020 09:35 PM PST I tried a lot of Gacha type games with an amine art style but the only I really like and play a lot is Fire emblem heroes, I'm looking for something similar to like The Walking dead Road to Survival, Thanks! I don't get the people hating on Dragon Raja. Posted: 02 Mar 2020 09:32 PM PST Game has only been out for a couple of days globally, one of the best MMOs out there on mobile right now along with BDO and many other outdated MMOs you could play aswell. But at least in DR you can't auto everything like in BDO, you actually have to do shit yourself. Autoing in DR just autoattacks and stands in place while BDO does everything for you. people who are complaining that there's way too many stuff to do probably don't understand what a fully fledged open world MMORPG feels like, especially on mobile. TLDR; while the game might get boring at first for you sometime give it a shot still, it's amazing for a mobile game and it's definitely worth the shot. [link] [comments]

Cuphead Mobile , problem with controller. Posted: 02 Mar 2020 08:58 PM PST Anyone can get this unofficial port of Cuphead to recognize a controller in native mode? whenever l use controllers they control android interface instead so pressing buttons will just minimize the game or quit the game as if pressing back/menu buttons on the phone. Posted: 02 Mar 2020 04:21 PM PST Hello guys, I would like to ask you for your recommendations on a good mmorpg. I prefer PvE but I like the option of PvP If there are dungeons or bosses that needs to be killed in a party of players that would be great. I'm sure there will be post about this before but I'm looking for recency, and game that is in the best state atm... Thanks for your time ^ [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Mar 2020 06:16 AM PST It's crazy that I get the MMO itch every few months and there's literally no MMO that seems worth playing. So in desperation I am turning to mobile gaming. I am looking for an online game with a continuous stream of content, an active and competitive community, and weekly grinds. It can be any type of online game. A RPG, a strategy game, etc. As long as it fits the above criteria. I'm sure there has to be something. This is ridiculous. [link] [comments]
[REQUEST] Looking for casual game with decent progress, possibly Gacha Posted: 02 Mar 2020 04:51 AM PST I'm looking for a nice Gacha (or similar) game to play casually. Meaning that I can play anywhere from a couple of minutes to half an hour and have stuff to do.
This would be my first mobile game in years, last being Final Fantasy Mobius in ca. 2016. I've looked at AFK Arena or Arknights, but I'm not sure how the progression is if you don't pay, and how big a part PvP plays. [link] [comments]
