I dropped my 3Ds I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit don’t roast me but I haven’t found anything better. All I want to know is of this is a fixable issue via a repair shop or not and yes if it is a costly one.

Old Sony Discman pauses audio on regular intervals.

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 01:30 PM PST

While dusting off some old stuff belonging to my late mother I found a Sony D-EJ360. Many years since she last used it but it looks in good condition. Figured I may well use it. Tried listening to music and every 15-30 seconds it would pause for a brief moment. Tried G-protection on and off and various CDs and it did the same thing. Could it be to do with the reader? Nothing looks damaged. It just a couple of surface level scratches on the casing. I'd be interested in finding out what the problem is. It's curiosity at this point.

Killer WiFi card not working, can not connect to any internet

Hello i'm kind of new but i need help.

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:25 AM PST

So i recently had bought a 2x8 3000mhz ram kit and my pc would end up crashing, ie. black screen audio stutter and then tries to reboot but doesn't. i also did try the ram sticks individually one had a kernel security crash and the other just black screened and such. But here's the catch, i used my old ram sticks (never black screened on me) it had crashed as well with the exact same pattern, it black screens as well as audio stutters and reboots, i see the pc rebooting (LED indicator) but no Display though i haven't waited for longer than a minute or two. At this point i don't know what to do and am thinking of doing a fresh reinstall of windows. if there's anything to mention it only crashes while i game. Thanks a lot.

    Possible laptop battery problem?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2020 05:39 PM PST

HP 15-au018wm, had it since 2016. Battery life appears...odd. When the adapter is plugged in I notice the battery icon is frequently stuck on "91% (plugged in)" and doesn't seem to charge beyond that. When I unplug the adapter and let the battery run down a little bit, the charge time tooltip is misleading. For example, I let the battery run down a little earlier and plugged it in to charge up; when I plugged the adapter in the battery icon said "10 minutes to full charge", but 10 minutes later it said "7 minutes to full charge". Over 30 minutes later it still said "1 minute to full charge" and when I unplugged then immediately plugged the adapter back it in, it started off with "99% (plugged in)" then went back to "5 minutes to full charge".

It's not a huge problem; my laptop still seems to be working fine, but I want to nip this in the bud in case it gets worse.

The battery is still the original, never touched or tinkered. I keep it on adapter charge whenever I can and have had to use the battery alone for maybe <10 hours cumulative for the almost 4 years I've had it.

I used to get frequent "plugged in (not charging)" errors that were corrected with un/reinstalls from device manager, but I haven't seen one of those for almost a year now. On the off chance that was responsible for my current issue now, I un/reinstalled the battery again a couple of days ago, but nothing seems to have changed.

    Any ideas, guys?
