Phone randomly plays universal theme Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:40 PM PST This afternoon I was on Pinterest when the universal theme suddenly started blasting. I closed the app and checked if it was a notification (there wasn't any). The song kept playing so I closed all of my apps thinking that it was an app that kept running. I blocked my phone but it kept playing until the song finished. This really creeped me out so I googled the problem and found out that a lot of people have had this issue and had some other sounds/music they never downloaded play at random times. Do I have a virus? What can I do? I have a Moto g 4 if it helps Thanks In advance [link] [comments] |

Can I somehow prove that I haven't deleted any photos in the last two months? (Galaxy S9) Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:07 AM PST Disclaimer: I know this isn't /r/legaladvice and you can't provide legal advice, I'm just wondering about whether this is hypothetically possible or definitely impossible. I'm currently involved in a legal dispute in which someone in my neighborhood is claiming the only reason they assaulted me and threatened to kill me is because I follow them around constantly taking photos of them and threaten to kill him when he asks me to stop, which is untrue. (The reality, I believe, is that they're a heavy meth user who has latched onto me in some fit of paranoia after seeing me around regularly, but apparently my suggesting this isn't enough for them to get drug tested.) Then I thought... I basically never delete photos. I definitely haven't deleted any in the last few months. Is there any way I can provide the court with my phone and say "Look, not a single photo of them, and nothing deleted in months", which they can consider reliable? I use a Samsung Galaxy S9 with the default camera app and Google Photos, and it's not rooted or anything like that. I know it produces files with incrementing names like IMG_5000, IMG_5001, etc. If there's a continuous run from say 5000 (a year ago) and 6000 (today) with no gaps is that proof nothing in the interim got deleted? Fluid Navigation Gesture not working with Google Pay Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:09 PM PST Can someone help me with Fluid Navigation Gesture? I just downloaded it today and enabled ADB to remove the stock navigation system at the bottom. However, the app does not work in Google Pay, reverting back to the old gestural system. It works again when I quit the app. Is there a fix? [link] [comments] |
Accidentally deleted internal storage Posted: 29 Feb 2020 05:21 PM PST What do I do or check? The phone is still running perfectly normal, so do I just factory reset? I don't care about recovery, but do I have to uninstall and reinstall my apps. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Unattended remote control of Android 10 device Posted: 29 Feb 2020 09:23 PM PST Since upgrading to 10, when I use either Teamviewer or Airdroid to remotley access my Android 10 devices screen (Pixel 4 XL), it always prompts the below message. As you can see, there is no "Don't show me this again" tick. So I need to confirm on my phone every time. This kind of defeats the purpose of remote access if I have to approve on the phone every time. Is anyone aware of a way around this or is this just how Android 10 works now? [link] [comments] |
Samsung S9+ Wrong Automatic Date and Time Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:20 PM PST Since about noon my automatic date and time keeps jumping to July 15th 2000 [posted February 29th 2020] while using automatic date and time from the network. Anybody else have this problem or know what the issue is? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Feb 2020 01:38 PM PST Ever since last night, my messages app has been acting weird. Whenever I try talking to a friend via texting, when my friend responds, the notification shows the message I sent. But when I read, my friend's text messages shows up above the message I sent. What is going on and how can I fix this? [link] [comments] |

Which Android phone would you recommend based on camera quality? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:26 PM PST Use my phone mostly for calls, texts, browsing Reddit and taking pictures of my family. So the camera abilities would be my deciding factor. TIA [link] [comments] |

Android camera: how to lock position? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:51 PM PST Hey folks... this is a question about the Android camera app in smartphones. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8Plus, but I assume most android cameras work the same. Simple question really: I take all photos in landscape mode. Works out fine if I'm shooting something in front of me, but sometimes if I have the camera pointed downwards, for instance to a plate of food, the picture is rotated 90/180 degrees. It's probably using the accelerometer and detecting that the phone is slightly tilted one way or the other. But this is not what I want. Does anyone know how to set an Android camera to ALWAYS take a picture in ONE orientation... for instance, in landscape and only ever in one orientation. If I want to take a picture with a different angle, I will rotate the phone in my hands! Sorry to bother again; if anyone knows a better place to ask this, I would be much obliged. Thanks much. Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:03 PM PST So i was charging awhile ago (actually a few minutes ago) so I was charging my phone (Huawei P20 lite) then I suddenly hear a sizzling sound and I smell like a burning scent so I quickly look at my phone and i notice the plastic in my charging cable near the usb-c port was swelling. So I quickly removed it, scared because it might start a fire turned my phone off. When I touched the usb-c connector it was HOT. I haven't done anything about ,y phone and charger. What should I do? Should i try charging my phone with a different cable? Buy a new phone? Will it explode? [link] [comments] |

Disable app's access to share menu? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:33 PM PST Every once in awhile Samsungs (s10) terrible accidental touch protection causes my phone to go into the share menu without me knowing which gives me a mini heart attack every single fucking time. I have groupme for my university classes and there are a bunch of posts or photos on my phone I'd rather not post publically to my entire graduating year. I tried googling around but couldn't find a way to disable the share menu for a certain app. I'm well aware moving the groupme app to a secured folder solves it, but I still don't want the risk of me accidentally sharing the files inside my secured folder, which are even moreso sensitive. Any ideas on how I may solve this? Or is removing the app really the only option. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:32 PM PST I have two smartphones , Samsung M30S(4GB/64GB) with Exynos 9611 octa core one u.i. 1.0 running on Android Pie.(Purchased on September 2019) Lenovo k8 note(3GB/32GB) Helios x23 deca core running on Stock U.i. running on Oreo 8.0.0(purchased on April 2018). So,I tried installing 3 apks (Amazon,Spotify,VLC), Why does Lenovo K8 note installs the apks a tad bit faster than M30S? Both are non-rooted. [link] [comments] |
