Posted: 12 Feb 2020 09:29 PM PST For my XPS 13 9350 recently bought a new SSDWD black SN 750 and whenever I placed the new SSD in The SSD slot in my laptop it doesn't show up when trying to install windows as a drive that I can install windows on. But when I place my ssd into a USB converter it appears but when placed in the slot it disappears [link] [comments] | ||
In need of assistance identifying a mainboard hardware issue Posted: 12 Feb 2020 04:40 PM PST Hello all, i hope this is the right sub to and ask for some input on hardware related issues. I recently sold a mint mainboard to a third party and was told that it is not turning on. I was sent a picture with a broken off chip/transistor/capacitor and the explanation that it might came off right next to the 24pin power plug rendering it unusable. Furthermore troubleshooting steps were performed by leaving 24pin connection intact but by disconnecting the 8 pin eps cable the mainboard would turn on but not post. I can for the life of me not see where it might have fallen off. I will have my original picture before sending it off and the buyers picture after below. Maybe someone here can shred some light on this mystery for me. Thanks for your time. [link] [comments] |
