- When playing music the lockscreen used to show a blurred out version of the album cover but now it just zooms in. Can I change that back?

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:38 AM PST As the title says my battery is worn down with heavy usage and I want to take my phone abroad on the 14th with me and thus a new battery. Would sending it to One Plus repair service in the UK quick or should I try buy any recommended batteries and replace it myself or someone else who can do it? [link] [comments] |

Oneplus Referral Program is no more Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:34 PM PST Hi ! A while ago i had noticed that in the referral hub page it was written that the links were effective only until 31/12/2019 I had asked Oneplus about that and they've told me that the program was due to end at that date , but that we would keep our points . Indeed , as of today , we can't share our link anymore . The thing they didn't tell me is that , while you still have your points , there is nothing you can redeem with them anymore too XD [link] [comments] |
Stuck in fastboot after using fastboot rom Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:04 PM PST One plus 7 pro, European version So i was running Lineage OS on my phone for some time now (latest base update i did was to ob1 as far as i am aware), when there was an update lately dm-verity device corrupted force dump I tried another install just to be sure, but same result D:\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot boot tw.img I searched around if there were other ways to install twrp from fastboot, and found this tool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...mpile-t3886057) that promises to unpack and repack the boot.img, so i hoped i could use that to manually add twrp to it, but it failed to unpack the file At this point i'm seriously out of ideas, does anyone else have other ideas that i missed? Does anyone perhaps have a boot img with twrp? [link] [comments] |
Flickering screen problem in OP6... Posted: 01 Jan 2020 02:56 PM PST I've been using my OP6 for quite some time now, and had no issues whatsoever. This morning, when I turned on my phone, there was this flickering, dark motion on the bottom half of my screen. It wasn't clear until I opened a new tab on Chrome which is when I noticed it. I've tried turning the phone off, but to no avail. Can anybody help me? [link] [comments] |
UPDATE: Setup & Switch complete on OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition Posted: 01 Jan 2020 08:02 AM PST Ok everyone, thank you for your help with deciding to switch to Android for the first time from the iPhone X to OP7TPM (how I'm shortening it). Here's my initial reaction: Pros: - Display. This is gorgeous. I still have my iPhone with me and the screens do not compare. - Speed. I have yet to experience a lag. I know it's a new phone and I'm comparing it to a 2 year old phone, but it's still fun to fly around an OS again. - Gestures. This brought down the learning curve a ton for me since they're very similar to iPhone. - The settings. There's a whole lot more. Which I'm sure is great but for instance I accidentally got rid of my apps in the app drawer and they're all on my homescreen. I have yet to find how to get that back. (Edit: fixed! Thank you!) Cons: - Typing is weird. I'm sure my brain just has to get retrained to the new layout but misspellings are annoying (especially when typing in passwords that are hidden during setup) - I don't have any Bluetooth headphones so music is lost for the time being. I guess those will have to go on the Christmas list for 2020. - Theme. I like the McLaren theme but would really like if there was a light version for the daytime. Again, I'm sure I'll get used to it but it's a tripping point now. - I've already started getting the iMessage deserter texts. Oh well. Switched from iPhone X to OP7TPM & Android for the first time. Almost a day in now. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus screen makes black fade away. Posted: 01 Jan 2020 04:02 PM PST I'm just got my OnePlus 7T pro and have noticed that whenever something black is on the screen and moves it leaves a delayed fade. It's especially noticeable when scrolling through text messages and the black background fades away and covers up the gray textbubbles. Does anybody else have this problem and have you find a solution? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 12:37 PM PST So, my charger will only charge if it's plugged in the phone one way(plug it in (up-side down and it doesn't do anything), I've had to use a sharpie to mark which way it actually works when I plug it in. The headphone adapter only works one way as well. In addition, all cables are loose and will easily pop out, so it's hard to keep the phone connected to a charger or headphones. Is it possible to fix this, or replace the USB port on the phone out of warranty? [link] [comments] |
An issue with capital letter Σ and C Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:56 PM PST Hello OnePlus Community, I did the 10.3 android updatel for a OnePlus6T model however I am facing an issue after the update. The capital letter Σ in greek language has been replaced for a reason with the capital C. Can the community assist me on how to solve this problem? I found an older thread saying about customization in Roboto however it didn't work Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
In regards to Camera for Oneplus 7 Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:34 PM PST Hello everyone, I was wondering if I could get some advice. I've tried to follow the GCam guides for having better camera quality compared to the stock device. There are a million versions and it seems like with the new android 10, there are some issues around it as well. When I would download the apks and XPL files and what not, I know I did it right. But for example, I couldn't take videos with GCam or the stock video was better, I couldn't configure it correctly, and there was a plethora of other problems. I was wondering if I could get some advice for those of you that have upgraded to the newest update for Oneplus 7 and what I should do for the camera. Or should I just stick with the stock camera?? Thank you in advance!!! [link] [comments] |
[Rant] Replacing broken screen using Protect plan in US Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:25 PM PST Wall-o-text incoming I bought my 7 Pro in late July with a 1yr Protect plan. I broke the screen a little over 2 weeks ago and try to send in my phone. I then learned that i forgot to activate the protect plan. I try to enter my code but it doesn't work. I'm told by the company providing the plan, Servify, that it needed to be activated within 30 days, even though the email I got didn't say anything about an activation window. They activate it and I pay a $49 "administrative" fee to send my phone to a repair center. I do a factory reset before I leave it with a local UPS agent. A few days later I'm notified that my phone had arrived to the repair center but they need a passcode to get into the phone. They also state that they will have to do a factory reset if i cannot provide a code. I tell them to go ahead with the factory reset as I already performed one before sending the phone. I figured that either the repair center person is inept or the UPS agent played with the phone before packaging it and sending it off. Irksome, but I'm not going to complain yet. I figured they did what they need to do because I get an email saying that they need another $49 to fix the phone as a deductible. I'm livid St this point because I hate this nickel and dime game. I check the receipt for the original $49 administration fee and see on the receipt that I was charged not for an administration fee but for another 1yr plan. At this point I emailed asking for what am I really paying. This was 3 days ago and I haven't had any resolution from Servify except a half baked "we are looking into your situation" email. I've never had this kind of service before. If this is what I can expect going forward, this will be my last OnePlus phone. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 3T compatibility with Freedom Mobile? [CANADA] Posted: 01 Jan 2020 12:22 PM PST Is anyone using an OP3T on freedom? When I checked with the compatibility checker (uses IMEI number) on their website, apparently the phone is not compatible. It just doesn't make sense to me when the phone works fine on Bell and Telus networks. Edit: I have the NA version [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 02:21 PM PST I searched for this and it seems mostly all of you are using your phone with 90hz enabled, as intended. Is there anyone here using the 7T on 60hz and if so, what is your battery life like? I mainly use my phone for calls, WhatsApp and transportation apps like Google Maps or public transit. I don't do a lot of web browsing and I don't use it for entertainment at all (save for music sometimes). Will I be able to get more than 1 day? The closest test I've seen is GSM Arena's Endurance Test: https://www.gsmarena.com/battery-test.php3 They got 90 hours total on 90hz with one hour of 3G calls, one hour of video playback, one hour of web browsing daily and 93 hours total on 60hz with the same usage (according to their review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB2s0oYeFHU&t=5m19s). So, based on this, should I expect a 3 hour difference between 90hz and 60hz? Is that what you're seeing in real world use? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:59 PM PST Happy new year! I am receiving my OnePlus 7T this week and wanted to order a nice cover. Unfortunately Amazon only has bulky cases and otherwise the options are limited for OnePlus anyway. I'm looking for something nice and colourful. If anyone has any recommendations (I'm based in the UK if that helps) I can then order it beforehand. Thank you! [link] [comments] |

Am I the only one having issues getting the Google Assistant to answer when I say "OK Google" ?? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 04:29 PM PST I love my OnePlus 6T however I am having a lot of trouble getting the Google Assistant to come on when I say "Ok Google" I often have to repeat several times for it to come on and sometimes it does not come on at all no matter how much I try to speak clearly and loud enough As you can see here in comparison with a Huawei p20 lite phone you will see that my 6T's Google Assistant picks up my commands about 30% of the time unless I speak slowly or raise my voice which can get frustrating when I'm trying to do things hands free P.S. I'm speaking in French in the video but you still get the idea I even did a sound test on both phones and the decibels are higher on the 6T so there should not be any issue picking up sound Things to consider: -English is not my first language -I have a slight stutter when saying "Ok Google" At this point I'm not sure if it's an issue with my phone specifically as sometimes people have a hard time hearing me over a phone call Any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
I'm getting my very first oneplus switching from Samsung (oneplus 7 pro) Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:51 PM PST I was really dead set on getting a new note 9 on ebay but the more people I talked to and told about oneplus (because I was thinking about other options still) about 99 percent of people never even heard of it the oneplus... I'm very exited and kinda nervous about this purchase paid 575 so yeah ease my mind people lol 😂 can't wait to get the phone will post more when it arrives [link] [comments] |
