Everything about OnePlus phones are great... Except for the cameras. If OnePlus invested a few millions into the camera department their phones would be a no brainier since it's really the only thing holding them back.

wirless charging would be nice too

Oneplus 3T users, how often do you need to recharge?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 07:00 AM PST

I feel the battery life has become terrible with time. It was never once daily to begin with (frequent usage). Now I have to charge it multiple times through the day and the fast charge is good but doesn't make up for the amount of time I have to keep it connected in a day. I had lost my fast charger once and had to use a regular charge and it took everything to just not start weeping.

BTW, I have been looking at 7T and battery-wise not a lot of difference in capacity. If I am gonna have the same plight, I want to avoid buying it. Let me know your experience.

What are the best headphone adapters for OnePlus 7?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 10:52 AM PST

Getting a good headphone adapter has become a headache since I bought my OP 7. Got some generic analog adapters (Ugreen etc.) but they all have a slight hiss when silent. So now I'm looking for one with a DAC.

Heard that the Apple adapter is good. But will it work with my device? Original OnePlus adapter is not available in my region. What are other options? Please help. Thank you.

Things I really dislike on the 1+ 7t

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 02:01 AM PST

The most frustrating thing ever with this phone is when calling the screen randomly turns on and your cheek touches the keys.

Other things (some are small inconveniences) are • Auto-brightness is usually way to low • alarm can't swipe to select all the days like Samsung • barcode on alarm to turn off • when you plug charger you auto face unlock • Can't customize map colours • When writing a note and you have the checklist on, hitting enter makes the next word invisible so you have space after hitting enter • different speeds in time-lapse would be amazing

OP 7 Pro is feeling very laggy lately..

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 02:32 PM PST

RESOLVED: Was trying to uninstall every app I installed in the past couple of days, which led me to remember that I turned on the 'Tripple Tap Magnification' for a game I was playing. I turned it off and everything was back to normal. I apologize for wasting your time.

The entire OS seems to lag around 100-200ms between my touch and the touch registering.

    Examples: https://streamable.com/b3sj0

You especially notice it while scrolling in all apps.

I have the 256/8 model and it has like 190 gb of free space so it's definitely not chocked up.

What I liked most about this phone was how snappy it was. And I was genuinely planning to stick to OP for the foreseeable future after trying it. But if it's going to start lagging after 3 months of usage, it's definitely a deal breaker for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: here's a video from the calculator app that shows you how bad it really is

    https://streamable.com/739zx

I mean my old Galaxy S7 isn't this bad..

    Clear case for 7T Pro?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 08:33 AM PST

Grabbing the McLaren so I was wondering if there is a good clear case. The Poetic Guardian seems like a fair choice (just to cover everything), but wondering if everyone else has a thought.

Pixel Pulse VS Notification Buddy - Pro's Cons? Do we still need this?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 01:52 PM PST

Hello I just got the OP7 Pro this week and today I searched this sub for a well liked notification app as I need something more then one one time notification you get with the stock OS. So far I see camps of people who like Pixel Pulse and another camp that likes Notification buddy but these posts were made a while ago. Has there been any recent developments on the One Plus OS that I don't need to download a notification app anymore? If not which app is recommended that does not have much of an impact on battery or performance?

Should I be using Google's Messages app or the OnePlus one that came with my 7T?

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 11:21 PM PST

The OnePlus one seems fine but don't like how the color is stuck on the cyan color, when I've changed the accent color.

Thanks everyone for your comments! It looks like the Google Messages is already installed and just needs to be enabled per the Play store. The recent article on Forbes about a permanent DOS vulnerability via a bad message has me worried and since my 7T seems 2 months behind on security updates, security probably is a priority.

    1+ 7T Pro 5G ME carrier compatibility?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 02:36 PM PST

Does anyone know if the phone is cross carrier compatible like the previous 1+ devices? I ask because I see B13 is listed as a roaming LTE band which is the main band Verizon uses and for the time being, you can't purchase it on their website.

    Thanks

    Alert slider problem!?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:50 AM PST

Hi all, I'm having some weird problem with my OP7T lately. The alert slider works fine on ring and vibrate mode, but when i pushed the slider all the way to the top(for silent mode), it did NOTHING. I tried rebooting the phone, but that didn't help.

Is this a software or a hardware issue? And if software, would this be fixed by an update?

EDIT: the cleaning tip worked like a charm, so THANK YOU to all who suggested it!

    Op7 Pro Configurations?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 10:42 AM PST

Ordered the 7 pro during the Black Friday deal (which is still going on) and patiently waiting to receive my new phone. Coming from iPhone and can't wait to get back on Android! I wanted to ask the oneplus community what are the best configurations, apps, and settings I should put in place once I get this phone? Also for all of the op7 pro users, what are the best and worst things about this phone?

    Notifications?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 05:54 PM PST

Hey you tech savvy OP users out there! I've posted a few things on this subreddit to try to get used to my new OP 7 pro. Here's another question I have, about notifications this time.

So I migrated from an iPhone (I know, I know, bad decision) and originally on my iPhone whenever notifications popped up on a locked screen, I could click on them without unlocking my phone, which would prompt me to enter my password. Upon entering my password/using touchID it sent me straight to the app that the notification was from; think GMail, snapchat, and even messages. I've been using my OP7 pro for 2 weeks now, and every time i open up my phone to check messages and emails, I need to unlock my phone, swipe down from the top of the screen, and click on the notification to get redirected the app. It's a small issue, but it gets annoying after a while. When I click on a notification from the lock screen, the little notification bar for that app gets highlighted in a whitish hue, but when I unlock my phone it takes to the home screen or whatever app I was on when I turned off my screen instead of jumping straight to that app. Anyone know any tricks/fixes to get it working like how ios works? If you need any clarification please ask, I just want some sort of solution to this as it slows me down when trying to reply to messages from friends. Thanks!

TLDR: I cannot get my phone notifications to open from lock screen like it does on iPhones, plz help

    OnePlus 7T Pro OTA Update?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 10:42 AM PST

Hi guys. I am using Chinese variant of the 7T Pro. The first thing I did was installing Oxygen OS to it. Before installing OOS I researched a little and found out I should be getting OTA updates still. But I recently found out that my 7T Pro is stuck at 10.0.4 and recent OOS available is 10.0.6. (by the way I am downloading from Britain's website)
What should I do to truly receive these OTA updates?

Can the OnePlus 7T pro Mclaren work on AT&T?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 12:13 PM PST

The title speaks for itself. I want the phone but I'm on AT&T. T-Mobile is the only place to get the phone in the USA but they won't unlock it untill it's been on their Network for 40 days.

Is it worth the switch to T-Mobile in the event I can't get it unlocked?

Is a 83% battery integrity normal ones 6T after one year?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 03:40 PM PST

Hello everybody! As for the title, I bought my Oneplus 6T exactly one year ago. I was not a heavy user, so I charged it once every two nights when the battery was about 10-5% (no GPS, no auto-rotation, no hotspot, switch between WiFi and data)

Now I'm using it more for various reasons, and I'm seeing how if I use it a lot it lasts less than one day, and with the normal amount usually 1 and half.

I downloaded the OnePlus Diagnostic, and it shows a 83% integrity. Dunno about the standard, but seems pretty low to me. What do you think?
