I didn't realize how much of a difference a phone case can make. I feel like I have a brand new phone!

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 10:35 AM PST

I initially got a Ringke Fusion case to protect my new 1+7 Pro and it lived in it since the day I got it. It does a great job of protecting the phone in tough environments but is a little bulky and chunky.

But I was curious about the factory OnePlus cases after a while and already have an insurance plan just in case anything happened to it.

I got a OnePlus nylon back case for cheap on AliExpress and it feels like a brand new phone.

The thinner case really accentuates the minimal bezels and makes the all screen display pop.

The cutout is also much better so I don't get a haze anymore on the bottom of my selfie shots. They are so much clearer now!

It's much easier to use one handed with the gestures since there is less of a lip on the bottom so it feels much more natural.

The slimmer sides also make it much easier to grip and slide in and out of my pocket.

It really feels like I'm using a whole new phone!

By far my favorite accessory for any phone. Highly recommend!

    Dispatch times

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:17 PM PST

Just ordered a 7 Pro to replace my iPhone X. I was wondering how accurate the dispatch times were? It says 12/16 right now, which is pretty ridiculous to get a phone ready to ship.

    Google Dialer on OP7T

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:31 PM PST

I recently downloaded and installed the Google dialer [link] and it works well. However most times when I make a phone call and then end it, I could see the Google dialer call screen go away as expected but then I could see the Oneplus dialer appear and it would take a second or two before it goes away. It almost feels like the Oneplus dialer is running in the background while making the call. I gave the Google dialer all the correct permissions and set it as the default app. Has anyone else had this happen or know how to resolve?

Finally got my 7t thanks to you guys

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:30 PM PST

I've been lurking around this sub for about a month because I was on the fence about getting a OnePlus device. Upgraded from an iPhone 6s and I was blown away by the sheer size of the phone and the amazing screen. I'm glad I switched up. Just wanted to take a moment to thank the wonderful community here.

Is there any problem with buying the Chinese version of a oneplus phone?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:12 PM PST

I can get a 7t for $540 on Amazon but it is a Chinese version compared to $600 on the one plus site. So I'm just wondering is there any difference?

Should I install the OnePlus 3 oxygen_16_1911042118 update?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:04 PM PST

I just got the little notification that this update is ready to download and I don't know if I should or if there's some way to get rid of it. The last time I tried ignoring an update for as long as possible my phone bricked itself and when it finally came back on it had installed the update for itself (it was a traumatic time for me because I thought my device was permanently dead and I couldn't and still can't afford a replacement). If I'm recalling correctly I think I saw a while back about people saying the update was fking up battery life and creating all sorts of problems but I couldn't find the posts again when I tried searching.

So I'm posting to ask if I should go ahead and update/if it's safe to do so, or if not then what can I do? My phone isn't rooted or anything and the os hasn't been modified in any way since I got it beyond installation of the usual updates. Atleast, not as far as ik since my friend gave this to me and I never personally did anything with the os.

Any help or advice would seriously be appreciated! I don't want a bricked phone again. It sent my anxiety thru the roof.

    TMobile 7 Pro Users

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:12 AM PST

Any TMobile 7 Pro users who are hesitating on whether or not to swap to international firmware...it's very much worth it. I was holding off on the hope that the A10 update would drop from T-Mobile but finally got tired of waiting and flashed the international firmware.

I was using Nova Launcher but decided to try OxygenOS again on Android 10, and man this phone is FAST! OxygenOS is so fluid, this thing feels like a brand new phone. My volume issue with AirPods Pro is gone after the update, the new gesture navigation I was worried about is actually growing on me, and the fingerprint sensor seems faster now.

I manually kicked off a backup before flashing the new firmware, and restoration worked perfectly. One thing I'll mention is that I was using a cheap Amazon case that has a small lip on the bottom front of the display. With the new gesture navigation you are swiping up from the bottom quite a bit, so the lip is sometimes getting in the way. Ordered a couple new cases to try out that give more unobstructed access to the bottom of the display.

Instructions for flashing the international firmware is here: https://www.xda-developers.com/t-mobile-oneplus-7-pro-international-firmware-install/ There's also several YouTube videos that go into a little more detail on the step by step instructions.

    2020 OnePlus 3 ROM Suggestion?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:24 AM PST

In February 2020, if OnePlus doesn't release an update I will be switching to a new ROM and be leaving OxygenOS. This won't be easy for me since I personally love OxygenOS. I believe there is no such ROM like this but I must be on the latest security. What do you recommend that is the closest to OxygenOS?

Thank you OnePlus for providing support for us.

    Warp Charge Cable

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:35 PM PST

Does anybody else with a OnePlus 7t Pro have any issues with the warp charge cable? Mine is really loose to the point that it is difficult to charge and use it without the cable falling out

7 Pro Factory Reset On Its Own

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:41 PM PST

My father called me and said his phone is showing the setup screen when you first boot up the phone. He said he powered down the phone to take off the case and clean the phone. When he powered it back on he was presented with the setup screen.

Is there any way to reverse this and why did it happen?

Who else ordered during Black Friday sale?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:56 PM PST

Ordered a 7 pro in mirror grey on Thursday with an estimated shipping date within 14 days of ordering.

Haven't received any updates as of yet but it seems as though Oneplus has a habit of shipping much earlier than the announced estimates. Curious as to what kind of estimated shipping time others are getting?

Why is there no external MIC support for OnePlus 7 phones in native camera app????

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:51 PM PST

After updating to Pie, I'm not seeing the question of letting apps use the microphone only when used

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:28 AM PST

I read that this is a new feature of Android P, yet when I try to use the recording feature on WhatsApp, I'm getting the regular pop-up to allow the app Mic permission, but not the option of "let this app use the Mic only when it's being used".

So I'm wondering if I'm not using this new feature correctly? I'm using the new 9.0.6 update for the OnePlus 3T

I'm planning on buying a OnePlus 7T Pro and I have a few questions...

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:24 PM PST

    How's the battery life?

Can dust get into the popup camera and eventually damage it?

    Is the phone itself durable?

And overall, how are you guys liking the phone? I'm considering a switch from the P30 Pro, am I making a good choice?

Is it okay to use the OP 7T pro with a 45 Watt PD Charger?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:37 PM PST

    Hey y'all,

So as everyone has stated already, the warp charger is amazing. But I don't need fast charging while charging the phone overnight, so I've been using my dodocool charger that came with my pixel 2 to charge it overnight and I keep the warp charger in my bag for emergency situations.

I'm guessing that since my 45 Watt Dodocool Charger is a PD charger it should be ok, but, it doesn't hurt to ask.

    Thanks in advance!

    Android 10 really that bad?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 10:11 AM PST

So I'm really excited for my OnePlus 7 pro that arrives in about a week, I'm upgrading from an Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact on Android 9 and I was tired of this comically small phone so I decided I'd just move to a giant phone and the price was unbeatable.

But anyway, I've seen a lot of discussion on Android 10 problems on this subreddit, and a lot of bugs in general (not just on OnePlus phones) so for Android 10 users, is it really that buggy? If yes, what problems have you ran into?

    Oneplus 7pro Bluetooth headphone issues?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 03:41 PM PST

I've had my OnePlus 7pro since release day. Every Bluetooth headset I've used with it has the same issue.

Videos and music play at such a nice and high volume that I feel I have to turn it down a smidge.

Phone calls on the other hand are teeeeeeribly low, even at full volume. Both bluetooth headsets, one being a cheap no name Amazon set, the other being a Jabra steel were bad. Figured the bullets wireless 2 would be better since they're made by the same company. Nope. Not the case. Same issue.

Anyone dealt with this before? If so, is there a fix? Phone is a tmobile variant still on Android 9. Stock.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 03:24 PM PST

Hi everyone, I've just received my Oneplus 7 and was wondering if the case given in the box is good protection or if I should invest in a new one.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 03:16 PM PST

I have the student discount but wasn't there an additional coupon code that could be used? I found it yesterday scrolling through the past 100 posts and can't find it again. I am in the US if that matters. Anyone know?
